Love Costco, great prices on food, office supplies, tires, laundry detergent and all sorts of things I didn't realize I needed until I saw it on the Costco shelf. The optical shop staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Some designer frames are thrown in with Kirkland (Costco brand). The last time I went in, Windy took the time to adjust two pairs of my glasses (one of which had been stepped on) and did a very thorough, meticulous job. Did lots of research and decided to go with the Michelin mxv4. Found them at Costo for less and they were having a deal, so we decided to go there. Waited over 4 hours for installation as they were busy with snow on the way. I was super glad they had the tires in stock and thanked them a ton for everything. Car began pulling to the left at highway speed upon leaving shop. Then the pressure sensor came on. I called four times over the course of the next day but no one answered the phone. Finally picked up after the fifth time and said they'd put me at front of the line when I came. The right front tire looked low on my way in. When I arrived they said I'd have to wait 45 minutes for them to check it. The diagnosis: The front right tire looked a little weird so they put it on another wheel to try that out. No replacement, just go try it and see. He said he'd seen ones that looked way worse and this one wasn't really all that bad. He said the steel rims are easy to dent so maybe that was the trouble. The rim was not dented before. He had no explanation for the pressure light and acted as though it was completely unrelated but said they turned it off anyway. Then I talked to a manager. He thought the plan to put the bad tire on another wheel was good. He had no idea about the pressure sensor either. I said I wanted a new tire so he said he'd go do that. The guy at the counter said no one should have considered putting a bad tire on another wheel and congratulated me for standing up for myself. I should not have needed to though. He said they set the tire pressure at sea level so sometimes people have to come back once they settle in to the higher altitude. An explanation, but why would they even do that and why didn't anyone else mention that? Waited another half hour. They pulled my car up and I thought it was done but no. The manager arrogantly told me that it had been his lunch break but he'd help me now since he figured I'd want him to do the work. He tried to smooth it over with some contrived niceness at the end. Tires seemed good on the way home this time at least, so we'll see. I would absolutely recommend taking your car to a real tire shop with some common sense and competency, deal or no deal! read more

Best place in town for food when heading to your vacation Condo

Just had one of the worst cashier experiences of my life. We were there with my live-in boyfriend's membership. When checking out the cashier demanded to know whose name was on the card. Since he paid last trip I was going to pay this trip but she VERY rudely told me that is not allowed and he would have to pay. I let her know that we've never had an issue before and she said she didn't care what others had let me do. I will definitely think twice about spending my money at this Costco from now on. While I understand rules, rudeness and making a customer feel like they are under inquisition is completely unacceptable. read more

plenty of parking and off by itself adjacent to the freeway. there's a gas station tucked behind Costco so it has the low Costco price for the gas. we say a wall mount fireplace there $20 cheaper than last time we saw it so we bought it. clean and the lines weren't long. read more

They really should be reviewed individually because the stores are different. My old employment required travel statewide so I've been to a lot of the different stores. I live northwest though so I'll give a brief about the three nearest me. I-70 and Wadsworth is major busy almost all the time. I think they may have been one of the first to have a liquor dept. A membership isn't required to shop their booze. Great prices but selection is limited although it covers a pretty broad range of essentials (some nice to expensive wines, major label hard liquors with some premiums thrown in, small beer selection (Guiness on occasion), and a few other things that like everything at Costco come and go (so get while the getting is good). The Westminster location off of 92nd ave and Harlan is smaller with a smaller liquor store but still provides those needed extras while you're filling up your vehicle to the brim with more of anything than you really need (ya know?). the Superior store off of the Boulder turnpike and McCaslin is big but doesn't have a liquor store (last time I was there anyways). Besides going to Costco to spend all my money, the other reason I may stop in there is for a quick, cheap lunch. The in-store snack shop has huge slices of Pizza for a couple of bucks, a chicken caesar salad for around $4 and change, a Hebrew National Polish dog or hot dog w/kraut (ask for it) and a soda for a measly $1.50, churros for a buck, and a few other decent meal size snacks. Nothing really tasty but bang for the buck, it's hard to beat (Sam's Club fails miserably by comparison). I don't know why, but the Superior location with houses and property values a lot higher than the other two stores has the worst snack bar as far as cleanliness and keeping supplies and food replenished (no worries, there is an Abo's in the parking lot for any pizza emergencies). So the high rating is for dollar value more than anything else. read more

I went to have my tires changed on 12-10-15 @ 12:05 pm. I was told they would be ready by 4:45pm or they could call me earlier. No call and I return to pickup at 4:45pm as promised. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, I was told they were not ready but would be so in another 15 minutes. Finally at 6:03 pm I received my car. read more

I've now had two experiences with the tire center at this Costco. The first time they told me the vehicle would be ready by the end of the day, and when I showed up (after driving 20 minutes from my house with my family in another vehicle), they told me they were behind and wouldn't have it ready. Unfortunately, they didn't even bother to call me to let me know before I drove all the way there. I called today to ask them to swap out my summer tires with my snow tires. The person on the phone told me they would charge $40 to swap Costco tires and $60 to swap non-Costco tires. When I arrived, after a 20 minute drive, they proceeded to tell me they made a mistake and would not swap non-Costco tires. They refused to make any concessions, and seemed unfazed by my complaints. Needless to say, I will never use this tire center again. They have proven that their customer service is terrible, and I will be sure to visit Discount Tires, or any other tire shop, in the future. These experiences are highly disappointing, as all other Costco services have always been great. read more

As a general rule I love the products sold by Costco. However, this location is notorious for disrespectfully treating their customers, especially if you have inherited more melanin to your skin! Correct me if I'm wrong but the fundamental rule is that once payment has been made at the check-out counter, the products no longer belong to the store....they belong to the customer. But after checking out, but before exiting the store the manager informs that it is the Superior Costco store policy to check off EVERY item in the cart against the items on the receipt. Now, I am a very busy person and buy a cart full of products at Costco but have very little tolerance until the employee at the exit cross-checks every item. In my opinion this is BS. Also, most people in Boulder Colorado bring their own shopping bags and I've never seen any Costco employee rummage through shopping bags to check off every item! When I requested the employee at the exit to hurry up with the cross-check, I was purposely delayed even longer. I had no option but to walk out and I heard her yell after me that I was stealing!! Despite the excessive melanin content on my skin I am a professional and uphold the law! The manager was indifferent to my complaint and the obnoxious way I was treated. I received no apology. This is the Costco that is closest to my home but after this inexcusable and deplorable incident I'd decided to avoid the Superior Costco store. I sincerely hope that Costco corporate office reviews the management at this location and ensure that the Superior Costco location employees refrain from making unfounded accusations and treat all their customers with respect! read more
