It's beautifully organized. Who says that about a Costco right? But it's true. Every aisle flows nicely into the next. There is more space in the aisles as well as in navigating between the clothing displays in the center of the store. Parking is soooo simple at this Costco, you'll never have to wait. The lines are super quick no matter the time of day- it never seems crowded no matter how many cars are in the parking lot. I also find that this Costco offers more free samples on saturdays than other Costcos. Yahoo! read more

Love how the parking lot is big and only for this Costco location unlike the Westbury Costco always busy crowded and let's not forget about the parking in the Westbury location good luck ! And this Oceanside location has it all Gas station , Costco wine and liquor next door , tire service , this location so convenient less than 5 miles away from my location and the staff employees are friendly but I've seen how some customers are very snobby and rude and always in a rush what's the freaking hurry and rush for ?! I had a cart full of items and had a person behind me getting frustrated because they had to wait in line like for your turn and be patient have common senses breathing on my back and mumbling words under their breath because they had 5 items and they had to wait in line okay why can't you ask if you can go ahead of me or go to the next open line ? DUH ! NEXT ! read more

I went into the Oceanside location to check it out with a friend who is a member last week and was impressed except for a manager (Mindy). I would have given the location 5 stars. The shopping was great but the interaction with her has affected my decision to not join. Maybe other locations are better... read more

Two stars for a variety of food and goods. The missing 3 stars for discriminated customer service. Yesterday (7/03/2021) when I applied for a Gold Star Membership $60, a black lady first hard sell the Gold Star Executive $120. Then, she asked for my cellphone and she wanted to download an app to process the application(I did not know any customer service would use customer's cellphone. And the ridiculous thing was she deleted the app after the application without my persimmon. ) When I asked if I may double check the information she entered. She did not answer me(Latter, after I downloaded the app again and sign up, I found she enter wrong name and email address.) I saw she talked and smiled with other white customers before me. She was reluctant to to talk to me maybe I am an Asian. Even after taking the photo, she left and I stood in the middle of a crowd people and didn't know what to do next. What a country? Where is its future when White discriminate Black, black discriminate Asian, Asian discriminate... and when other countries are getting better and better. read more

The store is great. The Optical Dept is terrible. They twice heated my high index lenses and ruined them beyond repair. The Westbury Costco Optical Dept is great! read more

The store is new and clean, staff is efficient and friendly. They have great buys. There selections are somewhat limited.

The new Costco in Oceanside is a hit! The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The parking is a dream. The store is so clean and organized. Happy shopping you'll love it! read more

I have been a Costco member since 1989, long before there was a Costco in NY and it was called Price Club. The minute the Oceanside store opened I stopped going to Westbury. I appreciate the gas station, the short check out lines and most of the staff's friendliness, however, there was some adjustment needed. Because of the population difference, some of my regular purchases are not available. I've asked about this and learned that if they don't sell well off the shelves they go. Not smaller quantities, just none at all. That's a hard pill to swallow. FYI, the reason aisles aren't marked is so you'll have to walk through more of the store to find what you want. Products move from side to aisle too. Benefits at Westbury are a little better too. In little ways they are more flexible. You know, with age comes wisdom. One last point of interest. I have been getting estimates for a new garage door. All have said it's a capital improvement and no tax is paid. The Costco rep said tax had to be paid, but was tax deductible. Curious I thought. Costco is still my go to store, don't misunderstand me, just a couple of caveats. read more

Love this Costco .Great layout .Pleasant staff .No long lines. They feed you too.Having gas station at the location helps too.Always seems to have managers monitoring the lines to make sure it moves quickly .Not like Westbury which is a pain. read more

I found most of the employees to be quite rude. This was my first time to this particular Costco. I started with a return. As I began explaining to the woman behind the counter the issue with the product, she cut me off rather abruptly, asked if I wanted it back on the card, and handed me my return receipt (ok- I got my refund so no big complaints, but personable would be nice). Next, I asked a stock person about purchasing a rather large and bulky item- he directed me to exit the store and get a platform cart and walked away- no offer of assistance or even a inquiry of whether I needed it. The cashier was abrupt and impatient. Finally, my last stop- the concession area. There were two workers- a male and female; he was cashiering and she was retrieving the items. When I placed my order- for a pre made Caesar salad and a frozen yogurt, the female acted as if I asked her to give me her first born! She then placed only the salad by the cashier and proceeded to start doing something else. When I told the cashier that the frozen yogurt was missing, and he advised her, she scowled, filled the cup about 3/4 of the way with a large crater in the middle (ok- so maybe I don't need the extra calories, but....) and walked away. I then left the store, fortunately to a somewhat pleasant receipt checker. Terrible staffing problem- perhaps that's why the store was not busy. Hey- there are better jobs than working in Costco but there are also worse- do your job and save the attitude for outside the store; you are in a customer service field. I'll stick to my regular Costco in the future. read more

So glad they opened in Oceanside but I noticed some stuff I can't but here they don't carry so I still a member at BJs it's a pain to go to two different places and hold two memberships read more

I have been a Costco member for a long time. I usually visit the Westbury location, however I decided to visit the Oceanside Center after dropping off my child for school. I get here at 9:25 only to find that they are closed. The Westbury location opens at 9am. I was under the impression that they all had the same hours apparently many others did too (many walked up and drove way. I did not feel like wasting anymore gas to drive to Westbury so I waited. The selection is not as big as Westbury either. On the plus side there is a gas station! read more

Very difficult to find something because they gave no aisle signs to identify where certain product lines are. Their large frankfurters are private label while BJ's has Hebrew National jumbo dogs. Fruit and vegetable department is inferior to BJ's and they have no deli department. read more

I went there for the first time today. It was clean and the staff members were very welcoming. The only problem was the way the store was organized. I wish it had a better flow. I will be back. I am so happy that this location has a gas station. read more

As good as it gets for a Costco. Clean, helpful staff, short lines, plenty of parking. My only negative as it is with every Costco is the free samples. It causes aisle to be blocked because people act as if they haven't eaten in weeks. read more

After speaking to customer service , management at this Costco were Extremely helpful and took great care to process the return . I very recently purchased a furniture set here. I had taken my in-laws (they are the account holders) shopping and saw a perfect set for the den. I didn't want to spend $800 even though I liked the set. While sitting on it, an employee said to wait to purchase it tomorrow as it was about to be 50% off. I could only purchase at the time because I had help to tie and take the set home. When I explained this to him, he advised I could purchase it now and bring the receipt back the next day for the adjustment. We bought the set... I came in the next evening after work to complete the adjustment and was told since there are no more left in stock, they can't process an adjustment. I spoke with Christina a manager here who advised me of the policy and took the time to hear my reasoning. I wouldn't have purchased the item had the employee (who was essentially helping me by letting me know of the upcoming discount) not told me I could come in and make the adjustments unconditionally. I was never told of the requirement that one set had to be in stock to handle the adjustment. I may have lost out on the deal if I had waited until the next day but I would have been willing to take that chance in place of paying top price for it. Needless to say I was frustrated (not rude) and ultimately, they honored the discount. I give this place a great rating not because of the outcome but because it was everyone's intention to help me. I wasn't told of the entire process for adjustments of this sort but the employee was helping me by letting me know of the upcoming change in price. An honest mistake. The customer service person realized the problem and I didn't even have to ask to speak with a manager (which I would have once the problem was realized). And last but not least, the manager Christina, who listened and stated the company policy to me, ultimately helped address the situation. Every transaction will have the potential for misunderstandings. I am absolutely ok with that. But listening to people while attempting to help them is what makes all the difference. Lastly, I stated earlier that I wasn't a customer myself. Christina did take the time to let me know of the benefits of being a member. I couldn't bring myself to tell her I was already a BJs member myself and really only take my in-laws to Costco to do their shopping every other Friday. Our BJs membership is up in November and we will start fresh with this Costco then. Thank You Christina and Costco. These situations might be small and inconsequential but I thought you should know of the kind of employee(s) you have there. - Jeff read more

I obtained a membership at this store on December 30, 2017. I cancelled the membership on January 5, 2018 due to incompetence and rudeness. During my first visit to Costco, in which I spent over $400.00 on assorted sundries, I also wanted to have my tires changed. Unfortunately, the store employee, Lucas, informed me that the Michelin tire that I wanted was out of stock. I gave Lucas my phone number and asked him to call me once the store received new stock. Lucas called me on January 3, 2018, informing me that the tires I wanted arrived. I clearly communicated to Lucas that, as I only have one car which I use to commute to work, I would not be able to bring the car in until Saturday, January 6, at the earliest. Lucas told me that he would check with his manager to see if he could keep the tires set aside for me, and said HE would call ME if they couldn't keep them set aside. As Lucas never called me, I assumed that the tires were there. To get the tires changed sooner, I rented a car to get to work, and my wife took a day off from her job to bring the car in on January 5. Once she arrived, the manager told her the tires were not there, and it could take up to another week before new ones arrived. I spoke to the manager over the phone, and explained to him what Lucas told me. During the call, the manager, Jeffrey, talked over me and interrupted me, offering no solution other than telling me that I'd have to wait. The manager also told me that the store's policy is not to hold tires, which I understand. However, I did not ask Lucas to hold tires for me; he offered to do this and then failed to communicate either with his manager that he offered to do this for a customer, or to communicate to me that this would not actually happen. As a result of this experience, my wife and I have decided to cancel our Costco membership. read more
