Love going into any Home Goods and walking out with hidden treasures. By the looks of things, Tuesdays must be the day they stock new merchandise. Many of the aisles were blocked off with carts filled to the brim with items waiting to be placed on shelves. Many employees were working on the shelves but, it seemed there were not enough of them. It was difficult if not impossible to push your cart down the aisles without running into another shopper. That said I still was able to find three items I wanted to purchase. However, the line was incredibly long. This is a recurring theme at this particular HG. I decided not to wait and put the items back and left. I'm disappointed. I may have been able to find more things to purchase if there was some better organization. This will not deter me from shopping here again. I love the selection and the possibility of finding a unique piece or a necessity, at a discounted price. read more

It's a great place to find anything that you need for the home, or as a gift for someone. There's always a lot in stock and everything is pretty well organized. The only thing is that like many other stores from the same company, they're often understaffed with many registers unoccupied, resulting in very long lines that sometimes make you want to leave after spending time looking around and picking out items to buy. I've gotten so much here though, from decor, kitchenware, candles, bed sheets, seasonal items, phone chargers, and even a few tables. I found a serving dish that I loved however it was the last one and had a chip at the bottom. I figured they'd reduce the price or give some type of discount because that would be the fair thing to do as I'm purchasing a broken product and there are no more left however the manager stated there was nothing wrong with it, when clearly it was chipped. This is definitely my favorite Homegoods in the area. There is a Home Sense and another Homegoods by the mall but I like this Homegoods better when I'm shopping for everyday household items. The parking is also usually much better at this location. The other stores in the plaza are low profile store that don't really draw too much of a crowd. This location always has a lot of inventory especially furniture. It's usually pretty crowded on the weekends especially during the holidays. I have purchased MANY items here and they have a 3rd party company that does deliveries for them so you don't have to worry about transporting this large bulky items if you don't have the capacity to do so. read more

Just attempted to use the Womens restroom at RVC store. I have never seen a filthier , vile , disgraceful sight . Garbage pail overflowing, filthy toilet backed up with hand towels and excrement, no toilet paper, filthy floor and walls. Obviously , management doesn't care. So shameful. As Home Goods go, this is one of the most organized location in the surrounding area. The selections is of a higher quality as well. I always find unique and deeply discounted household items at this location. They have rugs, chairs, hampers, toys, dishes, pet items, linen, lamps, bric n brac, kitchen utensils, exotic cooking oils, coffee and other snacks and so much more. There's more than enough staff to help you should you need it. While the lines can be long at times, they move pretty fast. Keep an eye out for their red tag discounted items! read more

Despite having thousands of pictures on Yelp, I ended up taking none (except one check-in shot) while shopping at Home Goods in RVC yesterday with my girlfriend. Why? Well I can spin two stories here: 1) I don't want to spoil the greatness of what you can find amongst the aisles of Home Goods. 2) I just didn't take any pics because I wasn't in "Yelp mode" at that time. Whichever you choose to believe is cool with me and my review (*cough* #2 *cough*), but in all seriousness, you can find a lot of hidden gems scattered about a store like Home Goods. We ventured to the Rockville Centre spot after eating at Bigelow's and found ourselves pleasantly surprised with what we obtained. The search was actually for glass jars or holders to fill with beach glass we had picked up from a beach during our recent trip to Maryland/Delaware. Home Goods didn't disappoint as we found nice mason-like jars with a thin rope netted along them, each one costing under $10. It's finds like these that make the place great. Then there are times when you walk in and target some awesome stuff that's unfortunately broken (like one of the jars we first picked up) or expired (careful with the food products) or just downright odd (giant metallic mermaid statue!). So you do need time to sift through the crud to find what you're lookin' for (even though you might come up empty). Overall, Home Goods of RVC can be a choice spot to locate some abode-needed items at a reasonable price. Maybe you'll find what you want and maybe you won't, but give it a shot and you're bound to come across something worthy of decor in your living quarters...as for pics, maybe next time. read more

The store is bright, clean, and well-stocked. I was able to find everything I was looking for and more. It was better organized than other HomeGoods locations. Navigating the parking lot was tough. We had to wait for a parking spot and part of the lot was flooded when we were there. But inside wasn't too chaotic and lines moved quickly. read more

I love this Home Goods. In the past I've gone to the Flatbush location in Bk and while they have a large selection it's not the largest store. This location is much larger and from the minute you enter you can tell they make a concerted effort to keep the sales floor clean, as organized as possible and well staffed. Usually the pillow isles is trashed in most stores with this store they've managed to keep color stories together so it's easy for you to find patterns to work together. They have tons of bed, bath and kitchen accessories. Def one of my favorite locations. read more

Purchased a shower rod and curtain hooks from home goods. I expected the items to work as advertised and they did not. The items quickly rusted and I attempted to return them. I had no packaging or receipt bc I trusted in the labels. The labels stated the items would not rust (false advertisement). Management told me there was nothing they could do. I practically live here! This particular Home Goods always gets the greatest furniture and knick - knacks. I also love the ever growing assortment of high end towels. The staff are very nice as well. I do find that sometimes they do not have enough cashier's stations open, and you have a bit of a wait to pay for your purchases, and the store tends to be a dash too warm for my liking. That said, this is my neighborhood Home Goods and I was thrilled when it first opened up ...and the thrills continue! My most recent visit I purchased a gorgeous 3 ft sitting Buddha, and new guest bath towels. It also has a decent sized parking lot which houses a great pizzeria / restaurant, wine store and Rite Aid -- parking usually is not a problem. There really is not much more that can be said. I love this location in Rockville Center. First off, the store is extremely organized. Granted I went in the summer, and not during the holidays, I was still impressed. The staff was attentive and helpful. Plenty of people to ask questions and to help you with things. The store is fairly large compared to other locations I've gone to. I came in search of pretty smelling things. Hand soaps, handwash, draw liners, etc. Upon finding that aisle I stayed there about 15 minutes just looking and smelling everything. What a wide selection of products. I browsed the other sections and saw many more things I was interested in. From the chairs, to hampers, and wall decor I was looking around in amazement. I really love this store. The only drawback was the wait on line. (The cashier managed to let someone leave the store without signing the credit card receipt and had to track them down to pay. I didn't want the poor man to lose his job so I quietly and patiently waited for him to return. He literally bolted out of the store.) I will DEFINITELY be back to this HomeGoods location! read more

Was shopping at home goods in RVC and as usual their store was stocked with beautiful items. I purchased 4 lamps and a dresser. All reasonably priced and lovely. I am a huge fan of home goods but I am a regular at the one in merrick. Being the one in rvc is closer to my home and people told me it was "the best one!" I decided to try it out. With a $100 gift card in hand, I planned on buying everything I wanted. I know home goods is a "hit or miss" situation, but this was definitely a miss. The store layout was weird, everything felt like it was in disarray, and I left after buying a bottle thing, a plastic bowl, and a waste basket. I was on line (which is always very long) when I was called to register 1. But the woman at register 1 took someone who wasn't on line. Then I was stuck because they kept calling register numbers and the next person on line would go. I spoke to two cashiers and they told me to wait. In the meantime 4 people behind me on line were checked out while I waited in no-mans-land.... Finally register 1 took me and she said how are you- I said I was a bit upset. She said "oh you are breathing so you are fine. There are some people who didn't get out of bed this morning. You did- so you're fine". She knew what happened- she saw me- I spoke with her and she's the one who took someone who was not on line. No apology- nothing. This was not very good customer service. I love this place. They always have such an eccletic selection of items for all areas of the home. This is the only HomeGoods I have been to and it's very organized and clean. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of things I have bought here have always been great. My only issue is that it's at least 30 minutes away from where I live. There is one in Brooklyn that is closer so I may have to try that one. read more

The cashier line looks long but moves fast due to six registers. The parking lot is big but sometimes you have to circle a few times to nab a spot. So I'm writing this review while standing on line. It's a Wednesday and I didn't anticipate the store to be this busy. But the line is crazy long and wraps around 3 times. Anyway, just as you would find in Marshall's, there are many cute random finds for great prices. However. I came here only looking for a vase. I walked up and down the aisles like 3 times and didn't see them anywhere. I thought it would be safe to assume they must have them. I asked two sales associates if they knew where they are and both associates were very unhelpful. I understand this store isn't known for customer service, but come on. They were not courteous or helpful at all. On a positive note, I do want to add the manager was nice. read more

If the sun is at the right equinox in the sky and the stars are aligned for you, you can score a major find--4 matching chairs, a perfect accent rug or furniture piece and a decorative item to compliment and it all.
