One of the newly built Costco Warehouses within a few years and located in Oceanside. This is my preferred location to shop and it's nicely layed out inside and spacious outside parking lot. Some other nice amenities, it has a Gas Station on premis and wholesale liquor store including their signature Kirkland brand alcohol. Products are well stocked and lines move fast. Nice Costco overall. HOWEVER, Glen in the optical department must be so miserable in life. My husband and I are new to the area and went to Costco for household items. My husband remembered he needed to order his contacts and wasn't even aware of the time or that they close at 6, he showed up a few mins before they closed and glen said and I quote "you have to be mental to show up a few mins before we close" my husband was so shocked he didn't even know what to say. That is not something you say to a customer. He could've nicely said I'm sorry but we're closed. That's all. Don't be an asshole because you hate your life Glen. read more

For years I resisted shopping in big box stores. When Costco opened here in Oceanside, I still resisted, until...I wanted to buy some solar lights for my lawn and went in with a friend who is a member to look around. I joined that day, and there's been no looking back. It's not just the prices I'm loving. The excellence of everything I've tried blows me away, from Greek yogurt to batteries. My Costco here in Oceanside also has outstanding employees. Today we had a difficult situation to solve. We bought a display (last one) plush office chair we couldn't fit into our car. Joseph, who was working as the greeter today, noticed our plight and said "don't worry, you're going home with that chair today." He got someone to cover his post so he could find a tool to help us take the feet off the chair and get it into the car. Phenomenal customer service, thank you Joseph! read more

Really appreciate the kind customer service I've received during this tough time with COVID-19. This Costco is not as busy as the others. Always get gas prior. This location has self checkout with staff assistants. So it's fast.

Love this location! Absolutely no complaints. All of the employees are very kind and this location is extremely clean. The liquor store is attached, which is great, and they also have a pharmacy and eye doctor located inside. I'm sure everyone is happy about this location opening, preventing the drive all the way to Westbury. Not to mention, the lines are pretty reasonable, and parking is never an issue, but this probably because they're still fairly new. ALSO.. don't sleep on Kirkland products! I've been a huge fan of Costco for decades but their location in Oceanside is by far my favorite. This place is clean, organized and well run, there is ample parking and the store isn't a constant madhouse. The employees really seem to care about the happiness of their customers. The liquor store (the only one in New York) and the gas station make this the best Costco around. It's not the closest one to my house, but it's well worth the drive. read more

Management & staff have no class & do not even know there own policies. They even lied and said they are a franchise (which I called up Costco Corporate to confirm and said they are not). So Nassau County has another wholesale supplier! Costco. Being a loyal, BJ's affiliate, I didn't want to stray! B comes before C! (stupid humor.) My mom got a Groupon for a reduced membership fee, and signed me up. Cool. Costco is located off of Lawson Blvd aka Oil City. There seriously needs to be more signage/advertising. In my mind, Oil City is not someplace to drive around in, let alone shop in. It is a bit surprising with all the industrial area, and lack of traffic, Costco would even want to open in a location like this... ANYWAY, make the right off of Lawson (right before the traffic lights that are always red, but also has the green arrow to make the left,) and boom there is Costco. I did notice an atrocious smell in the air pulling into the lot. I figured it was the nearby dump, and it progressively got worse. No idea where the stench was emanating from. Luckily, the cleanly smells of the brand new store made me forget the outside smell fast. The staff made sure to greet you, and were very polite and friendly. It was a treat. Inside: - The aisles had only numbers no listing of items kinda making you go down every aisle to find what you wanted. - The meat area was cool because it was all windows and you can watch the butchers prepare the meat/package it. - They had meals that were pre-made which looked outstanding - Craft beer area - Full service Pharmacy - Eye exams / eye center - They only take Visa as of now. - No express checkout. The representative who helped me with my membership was so patient and answered every single question that I had with a smile. My new favorite shopping place for groceries. You know what I don't understand why does management place grumpy old veterans in the frontline of the store to greet people. The person at the front of the store needs to be more upbeat and less of a jerk in his tone of voice. I walk in and he is very pressed because I don't have my membership card. I never write bad reviews because I have worked in retail for 15 years so I see and understand all sides but I was treated absolutely horrible today. I can not let this one go. HORRIBLE customer service from cashier and manager in charge of cashiers today at approximately 3:30pm. Having worked in retail and also having been a manager USUALLY as a manager you offer a solution to a problem. No solution offered today! I was treated like I was stealing because I was there using my husbands card Which I have done for 5 years with not one issue. I asked "so what do I do?" Cashier tells me I can sign up! YEA BECAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE! How about offer adding me to the account or upgrading the account. But no. Took my cart (totaling easily over $300 to the side and said the membership is non transferable.) Embarrassing me and wasting over an hour of my time shopping to find out they weren't going to ring me up. If they were really going to crack down on having the account holder present then MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE THE GREETER CHECKING I.D.s before you waste EVERYONES TIME and create Embarrassment and aggravation. Will be back with my husband to CANCEL account. And will be making complaint to Corporate. I guess in today's economic climate Costco doesn't feel they need a customer who easily spends $300-$500 every visit. I really did love Costco especially for what they did for all the Nurses and first responders during the pandemic by giving priority to enter, which helped out a great deal when we were working 80+ hours a week and drained. What a HUGE difference between this location and the Westbury location! If there's lines, they move extremely fast! Rarely is it crowded! Less stress here than the Westbury location! Also an added bonus is the gas which is cheaper! One stop shop which is great read more

This Costco is by far the Best place to shop! I have been a Costco member for years but shopping at the Oceanside store is enjoyable, and we love coming here. We especially would like to commend one salesman, Neil, who we always look for to help us in the Electronics Department. He is very knowledgeable and has just made shopping for electronics so easy. We have purchased several televisions and a computer and various accessories with his help. Additionally, all of the employees in this Costco are the most courteous, professional and just great! There r two Costco close to us. I don't have problem with parking at this location and this Costco has a gas station. In the past year, seem like we r visiting Costco more then b4! This location always have enough workers to assist and they have hand sanitizer all over the store. This location have self checkout, they always have 2-3 workers there to help customer. Very Clean and the cashiers and floor staff are very friendly. Three complaints: 1) Aisles are not labled 2) No express checkout lanes 3) Customer Service desk representatives are not friendly. Best Costco so far, gas area has lots of pumps, they had a few kinks to fix last week but everything is up and running now, alcohol is nice to have & the workers are super helpful and pleasant unlike the Lawrence location. Hope it doesn't get too packed like the Westbury location. read more

This is probably the best Costco location around. Plus it has a liquor store which is mostly what I'm writing the review about because of the prices!!! The store in general is great, great products, fast checkouts, good service. They are the lowest priced Costco liquor store I've been to! I had a day to kill and decided to do some research and drove around to 3 locations (Jersey, Brooklyn and this one) and this location has the best prices for the same wines and liquors as the other stores. It's beautifully organized. Who says that about a Costco right? But it's true. Every aisle flows nicely into the next. There is more space in the aisles as well as in navigating between the clothing displays in the center of the store. Parking is soooo simple at this Costco, you'll never have to wait. The lines are super quick no matter the time of day- it never seems crowded no matter how many cars are in the parking lot.
