The food court workers were top notch. 15 minutes before they closed I had to order about 25 pizzas for a wedding last second. They did it with a smile even if they had to stay later. They ended up making 40 pizzas. The workers and leads were so kind and cared actually about my need of the pizzas. They gave updates throughout and continued to do it with a smile. Cashier's are definitely lacking in the customer service department. We spent $1100 during one of our most recent visits last week while my daughter is home from college where she attends out of state. She is used to ordering from the food court from the cashier as they are not equipped with kiosks where she attends college. That being said, the cashier could not have been ruder to her in explaining that they simply have kiosks to place food court orders. . Instead he tried to make her feel stupid because she currently lives out of state. So I pointed out that I've been here many times and never knew because I have never ordered food from the food court. Beyond disgusting to treat customers like that who spend a ton of money here! Time to have a customer service chat with staff because this is not how you treat people and next time I will not hesitate to cause a scene, so that all the customers surrounding us can hear in on their poor customer service. Staff will be the ones feeling stupid then. So disgusted! By the way... I hope he felt like a big guy trying to make her feel stupid being that she's a stage 4 cancer survivor. I had the most unhappy experience at Costco a few days ago. I arrived a few minutes before 10:00 and was told politely that my membership type had to wait until 10:00 to check in. OK. No problem. I went back outside and sat on a cement block to wait. I had been ill, and my legs were a bit wobbly. An employee promptly approached me and told me loudly that I could not sit there. His manner was so rude! I was shocked! It set my teeth on edge. I thought, "well, I have a choice. Leave and go home or put up with this behavior". I wanted to check their glasses frames, so I moved to the "waiting pen" area he directed me to. I found another cement block and sat on it, explaining to the woman at the head of the line that I was not cutting in. I just needed to sit. That was fine with her. Suddenly the same employee was in my face telling me not to be cutting in front of the line. What is this?? The gestapo? This kind of behavior sets a bad tone for everyone's entire shopping experience. I wonder if the store manager is aware of this first impression customers are getting or if he doesn't care. I will be looking elsewhere for my new glasses frames. read more

Horrible customer service, go to the boise store or the Meridian store where they treat you like they want you there. The management doesn't train their employees properly if at all, when there is a compliant you get lip service, that's it. Some of the employees are very professional/helpful and very polite but sadly after 20 plus years of being a costco customer, it's just not worth it anymore, not this store. I have had rude costco employee experiences maybe 2 times in 24 years and serious issues, not just slightly rude, serious issues at this store 2 times in about 2 months. I cancelled my 30 year membership because of Orlando in Nampa and his poor CS management decisions. My disabled daughter receives funds, in the form of a check, from the state of Idaho for her service animal supplies and personal care items. Last year, after battling with CostCo for several years in utilizing these checks which are made out to CostCo, Orlando told me to open a new CostCo membership account for my daughter to avoid issues in the future. Today Orlando was unable to help her with this year's check and he told us that last year was an exception to policy. So why did he have me open a new membership for her? Obviously, we cancelled my daughter's membership too. read more

Store clean, staff average, parking ok. Exit in and out very congested. Unfortunately nothing to do directly with Costco just the location. I was treated very badly by a male Costco employee checking entrance Cards on Sunday January 11 at the Nampa store. I walked in showing my Costco card. The man in the hat yelled at me to stick my card in the scanner. I didn't know they were using a scanner. It was below him and he was standing in front of it so I couldn't see it. He yanked my card out of my hand and said "put it in here" and he put it in. I said thank you, then got my card. He yelled that I didn't have a picture so I needed to get a real card. I tried to show him my picture on the card but he wouldn't even check it. He was yelling at me. He grabbed at me so I stepped around another customer. Everyone was looking at us. He was still yelling at me so I hurried inside. I was afraid to go back out by him. All I wanted was a Costco chicken and some bacon. I got my stuff and hurried out. I have been a Costco customer for 21 years. I won't go back. I can get a cooked chicken at a store where Customers are appreciated not treated like trash. read more

When i asked her to get a manager then she told me to take a deep breath. That is extremely rude and not ok to tell ur customer that just asked for a manager. First time going to this Costco in Idaho, Instead of being welcomed, the guy at the front door gives me the 3rd degree because I didn't flash a costco card. I wanted to compare prices and look to see if it's worth a whopping $60 annual membership. I'll save you time and frustration, it's NOT. As soon as I walked in I got followed in the bathroom, then I had someone ask me if I was "alright" which is security term for I'm watching you, I wasn't really impressed, the employees when you walk by them instead of letting you go they force there way through, I stopped to talk to the tire guy, WOW! WHAT A DRONE, he had no interest in getting my business, he said we get so much business I don't care about what competitors prices are, then proceeded to say incorrect information about a competitor being bought out by some corporate investors, WRONG. Aa I left I said have a good day, but didn't get any response back... The people at this costco seem to be like every place else,tunnel focused drones who have no ability to understand what customer service is. Just sheep and cattle being pushed through a turnstile. ***BUYER BEWARE OF THE COSTCO HEARING AID CENTER*** We purchased the Kirkland 9.0 Hearing Aids back in November 2019. They lasted only one year until they began to fail. After 11 follow-up appointments and a hearing aid exchange, nothing has ever been the same since. The folks at the Nampa Costco seem a bit lost in the repair or adjustment process. Days after the repair, they are failing again as usual. We figured out we only had working hearing aids for 12 weeks of this past year from October 2020 to October 2021. It takes 3 weeks after an appointment to be seen again for the next adjust appointment. That's just plain unacceptable! Meridian and the Boise Costco are no better. Customer service is genuinely lacking at all three locations. With every audiologist we've seen, they just can't fix the products they sell. They tweak all of the bells and whistles in their computers, but nothing ever fixes the problem. I'm our humble opinion, steer clear of Ben. Clueless is an understatement for a senior tech. If he's that bad, how good can the others be?!? Go to a REAL hearing aid center. Costco is faking us all out that they can tackle this audio profession. When I need something that is a great deal and good quality, I am going to Costco. Their guarantee on their products is great and the saving can sometimes lead to huge savings. Staff is always helpful and the amount of times I have been there to see them hustle and stock and restock, crazy. The meats are good quality too as are the fruit and canned goods. All the services that can be utilized that they offer is good. Been a member for a very long time and the food court has been a family favorite with the gas station being a savings for me. read more

Management If you do not want self check out put regular registers back in with real checkers. The people you have up front when leaving with your purchases are ridiculous. Visited your store on Tuesday Feb 27th, two women checking the products purchased. One of them actually counting checking every item purchased. The people who purchased and those waiting were not happy. They made statements like Costco is making us feel like thieves. What other store makes us go thru this? Your employees response if you don't like it shop somewhere else. Both were beyond rude, had a real attitude problem. Never had this much of a problem with other employees in your store. read more

My review features two cashiers. One great and one rude and obnoxious. The rube and obnoxious cashier was named Karen (irony not lost on me) She was running the self checkout. I approached the mostly empty check out ( 6 stations were open) this was 10:45am on 12-11-22 so it hadn't gotten busy yet. She got my attention by loudly said 20 items get with the program, go over there. For the record Karen we had 22 items. And there is no sign saying 20 items or less. She glared at me until I left then she rolled her eyes and shook her head. Next cashier was named Lisa. She was great. She joked with us and kept the line moving. She was nice and could tell she actually liked her job. Sounds like Karen needs more training. read more

$40 to switch my winter tires! I have bought numerous sets of tires from Costco over the years including a $650 set of snow tires just last winter. When I asked if they would install them the following year for no charge, the tech explained that it is free if the tires are already mounted on wheels, otherwise, there is a labor charge. Fair enough. I later had the tires mounted on to dedicated wheels so that it would be quick and easy to switch from winter to summer tires. This year, I went in and found they charge $40 to bolt on snow tires that are already mounted on dedicated wheels. This is not what I was told and not how this process is customarily works. Normally, when you buy a set of tires with wheels, the tire shop will switch them for free. Not anymore. When you buy a set of tires at Costco, the regular rotations are free. When you switch seasonal tires on and off (already mounted on wheels) it is the exact same labor as a tire rotation, except the worker has to lift tires in and out of the car. I bought eight tires from Costco and all eight are mounted on wheels. I really expect them to simply switch the seasonal tires for no charge. I am very disappointed in this change of policy. read more

The hot dogs at Costco (plus a drink) are $1.50 b4 tax. They have remained this price for nearly 30 yrs. There's not much to them, but they're fresh hot and ready when you want them. And you can feed your family (of 6 or less) for under $10. Costco is a great American company and their food court's hot dogs should be on Yelp's Best 10 Hot Dog list. read more

I LOVE COSTCO! It's probably one of my favorite places to shop. We often have friends over to our home to play games. It's so nice to be able to run up the street and grab a few pizzas, a dessert, crisps, snacks beer and wine all in one quick stop. We don't order pizza from restaurants anymore. Costco pizza is everyone's favorite so we just pick it up and everyone is happy. They also have huge roasted chickens that are always hot and ready. Also, a whole bunch of different options for ready to eat meals in the back if you need a break from cooking! My plants, bulbs and flowers from Costco are always great. They last and they are great quality. I just bought a wonderful laptop from Costco. I found it at Best Buy but it was a better, newer, bigger and faster version at Costco for A lower price, so of course I got it at Costco. We decorate our porch in the summer With all of the awesome things we find at Costco. In the winter we do a lot of our Christmas shopping there. We have never had a problem returning anything. They have a wonderful return policy. They also keep the store clean and have always been the most proactive of the local stores when it comes to keeping people safe during the pandemic. I'll start off by saying the manager Roberto is extremely unprofessional and condescending. I had some issues with being charged too much and he basically told me to kick rocks. Luckily after getting the other manager Eric involved we were able to fix the problem pretty fast. Overall most of the stall is super helpful and kind. The only thing they could do to improve is to demote Roberto to cart guy since he should not be working with people. read more

The customer service team was helpful but they were slightly resistant to help us with a return on a defective item. So, we called administration on site and they handled it. We worked with Alicia. She was very helpful and resolved our issue. After the issue was resolved, we continued with our shopping. We found a beautiful playhouse for our daughter for only $300. It was a bit of work to put together but it is beautiful!! read more

Costco customer service is all-around above average with that being an important element in the company standards but I always appreciate the staff at this location. I literally feel like every person I have talked to there I want to invite over for a BBQ. They're that laid back. I also is usually have two little kids in the cart and during checkout time they freak out when Mama isn't standing right in front of them. I appreciate the staff that smiles and chats with them and has a little extra patience with me. I once forgot to grab the second box of muffins when I was at checkout and they had someone run to the the very opposite end of the store to get it for me. The only problem I have is I can never find the sizes that I need in the clothing area for my family. I can never find any 4T boys size??? Very strange. Whatever you do, do not come here Monday mornings when they open. It's insanity. SUPER crowded. You'd never, ever, find me there at that time ;) read more

Sadly this place is going downhill. Corporate run and they don't care about the customer. Today my son witnessed a "grown man" employee yell and scream at a lady who didn't have her mask on. You would have thought she stole or hurt someone. The "man" employee then escorted her out. My son who is 7 was traumatized by it. My son said he never wants to go to Costco again. I love the location so much! I've shopped in plenty of different Costco's throughout the country and this one is hands down my favorite. It's always so clean! It doesn't matter if it's the day before Christmas with 1000 people inside.. it's always as clean as any given Tuesday morning. The customer service is out of this world! Again... even the day before Christmas and lines throughout the store.. moving so fast! Just around the time you start to think to yourself "oh man this is gonna take forever.... " nope... they get you out in no time! The pricing is standard across the board with these guys so nothing to report here. Costco is my go to spot for when I'm serving a crowd and they never disappoint. This location in particular makes it all a bit less painful! read more

We broke a bottle of wine in the parking lot and he came over and not only cleaned it up but is currently inside getting us a replacement bottle for no charge.
