I do not like the layout of this Costco. It is backwards to what I am used to. Today I had the trouble finding the coffee beans that were on sale because they moved them out of the coffee aisle. I understand the need to place them in a prominent spot but they should leave some in the spot we regulars expect to find it. The parking is a nightmare here and the staff are hard to find if I need helping locating an item. read more

Excellent prices, most of the time great customer service, and great quality of products. I've been to this Costco location more times than I can count, and I am always coming back to it. Almost every time I go there, I get amazing customer service when it comes to cashiers making conversation and being helpful (eg once I bought flowers, and after paying they sent me to get the "wrap" for them, if you will that was just past the cash registers). They also stand behind their products, so if you buy for example a two-pack of organic chickens and one of them goes bad before the expiry date, they will refund you with no issues what-so-ever. The not so great experiences I've had in the past weren't anything worth mentioning, as I can barely remember one or two of them, that have been trumped time and time again by positive experiences, so all is forgiven. So overall, I'd definitely return to this venue, as I have been on a regular basis for many, many years now. read more

It's not that I'm against the underlying premise of Costco--buying cheaper in bulk. It's just that, without a huge family and a huge car to haul them and all their crap in, I don't have much use for a five-gallon drum of Pine-Sol and all the other oversized quantities Costco sells. So it doesn't make sense for me to get a membership (yeah, you gotta pay to get in) for something that's not in my demographic. Anyway, I was here the other day helping a friend buy a NordicTrack elliptical trainer. It was a good deal at around $900, but it weighed a ton; and I was the one doing a fair amount of the heavy lifting. The supplied dolly was just barely big enough to hold it, and while an employee helped us get it on it in the warehouse, we were on our own for hefting it into the back of the van in the parking lot. read more

this location is a bit wonky don't get me wrong, it has lots of parking, but defiantly has some inventory issues, ive had a few issues with pricing, and also trying to purchase items. for example was i needed to pick up pine sol for my apartment, and the inventory on this product was not on the floor at all, when i ended up looking up in the racking, i saw that a brand new skid was up high in the air, when i tried to get an employee to bring it down so i can purchase it, they responded with "were not selling pine-sol for the next two weeks, because wal-mart is selling the same bottle for cheaper" when i explained how i was at Costco and wanted to pick it up now, the employee said no and walked away. the cashiers are generally super happy, but if you see something you like, don't delay, pick it up on that visit, cause chances are, it wont be there in the future. im pretty upset that they got rid of the "veggie food" selection (falafel balls, chick pea patties, etc) not to rant on this location, but i think costco as a whole needs to send out the "coupon" booklet a little bit more regularly. Parking is congested and scarce. Finding one is like winning the lottery. And why do people walk so slow with their carts in here. It's like online shopping with dial up. I just want to scratch my eyes out. If it weren't for some of the bulk items with great prices, I would just as well buy them elsewhere. I shop at Costco for the things that are difficult to afford at Loblaws or our local health food store. Hemp hearts, eco laundry soap, recycled office paper, healthy breakfast cereals, nuts, fish, delicious imported cheeses and exotic oils such as Avocado oil or organic olive oil. I also stock up on Annie's Pasta when they have it: my daughter loves it and at our local store it's $4.99 (not much more than a buck a pack at Costco). I want to praise Costco for tentatively walking the path towards carrying more environmentally responsible products, such as coffee from sustainable organic and fair trade sources, and also forest-friendly bathroom tissue. However I am very frustrated that this branch isn't more consistent in carrying responsible paper products. Kitchen and bathroom tissue and kleenex ought to always be offered in sustainable form. Virgin paper from trees felled expressly for the purpose of disposable paper should not even be available to consumers any longer: our eyes have opened to our disappearing natural environment and we can't stick our heads back into the sand on this. I have spoken to William, merchandizing manager, and he has kindly offered to sell me a pallet of Cascades toilet paper, in case the store doesn't carry it again in the near future. This is a nice solution for me but doesn't help other ethical consumers out there. I URGE ALL THOSE WHO VALUE COSTCO TO BUY CASCADES WHEN YOU SEE IT IN THE STORE AND SPEAK TO THE STAFF ABOUT CARRYING IT ON A REGULAR BASIS. Not a member but I still snuck in by flashing my YMCA card. Everything was working fine while filling up my basket until I got to the cash register, when flashing my YMCA card didn't work. Sadly, I could only buy a $1.50 hotdog on the other side of the cash out area and leave, flashing my hotdog receipt upon exiting :(. read more

I love Costco. I joined in the States and was tickled pink when I found out my membership can be used up here. I got designer glasses with transitions lenses for 220. Nice. :) I had to get a new cell phone plan after Bell screwed me hard (see my review on the trainwreck of Bell Canada, a company that is on par with the Church of Scientology when it comes to fleecing people). I got a nice phone (I just use it for calling and text) and a reasonable plan from Virgin (I told Omar, the nice rep that I did NOT want Bell or Rogers and that I would immediately leave if he tried to sell me on either company, I had just cancelled Bell and I was furious---this all happened on the previous day from when I wrote this review). Anyway, I signed up, it will be about 10-15 cheaper than Bell per month and I got $225 in Costco giftcards just for signing up for a two year contract, yay! Damn fine deals on scoopable cat litter, oregano (we go through a lot) and almond milk. Onions, too. :D read more

Consider becoming a member, it's a great place to stock up on stuff. Lots of products that you wouldn't typically see in other stores because Costco is an American owned company. Members also get the opportunity to get gas at probably one of the cheapest prices in the area, if you're willing to wait. read more

Showed up just before close and they let us in, closing the gate behind us. They then proceeded to herd us out of the store very rudely like cattle. Glad I didn't pay for a membership here because this level of customer service is pure garbage. read more

My local Costco. Nothing that the other ones don't carry. I like the fact that I can get to the back entrance quite quickly. As others mentioned the front door greeter is annoying. I've been there a few times on the weekend and she basically yells at you to show your membership. Annoying when there are a bunch of people fiddling around for their wallet/purse and you just want to get in. read more

Stellar customer service, good to great prices, an unbelievably generous return policy and a a surprisingly interesting choice of products for a big warehouse store. I use this place for stocking up on business supplies as well as getting the more bulk-type stuff for home. They have a fantastic return policy - I ordered two different kinds of office chairs online and put them together at home, didn't like one of them and was able to return it 'built' without any problem. I have the Exec. Membership which means I get 2% off all purchases back as an annual cheque, more on the (already cheaper) gas - so I hardly pay anything for membership at the end of the year. I just tried out the tire centre this week, and although the guys are great, it's very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone in that department. Combine this with the fact that you can't book a service appointment on the weekend (first come first served) and my recent experience of being here 15 mins before they were due to open on Sunday and STILL being told I had 90 minute wait means that I can't give them more than 4 stars... read more

Since they built a gas station in the parking area, it is impossible to find a parking space (at least on weekend). The last time we went around 2 pm on Saturday, spent half an hour circling around and had to leave because there was no parking available. Very disappointing. read more

Great location in Etobicoke, right off the highway. Great value and your dollar goes really far. I always buy Olivia Frozen Wild Sockeye salmon fillets and organic eggs each time I go. If you can find the organic coconut oil for $20, buy it, an amazing deal! read more

The customer service needs improvement. The people at the door seem miserable and do not know their manners. The lady asked for our card and no one else coming through the door. It made us feel awkward and unwelcome. Otherwise, the selection of organics is great and everything seems very fresh. read more

Costco is amazing if you're looking for better value for your money, but they're wholesale so everything here is huge and sold in bulk. If you're just a couple like us, it's a bit of a challenge but that actually means we get stocked up for about 2-3 weeks, possibly even a month! The fresh produce section is okay too, although sooner or later during the month you'd have to get fruits and vegetables from another place. We love the Kirkland Angus burgers and panko crusted shrimps, and the bakery section is one place I always like linger longer-- so much bread and pastries to choose from! Then again there's a lot of each so we end up refrigerating them so they can last at least for a week or two. We get meat too which ends up in our freezer and I just cook them in parts. We also love the rotisserie chicken here, and we have yet to try the chicken pot pie. There's also amazingly cheap hotdogs which comes with soda, and decent fries and poutine at the snack counter. The only thing about Costco is it's usually crowded especially during weekends, and it may be a bit of an unpleasant experience having to elbow through throngs of people with large grocery carts. It's better to come on a weekday so you can take your time going through the shelves and displays. read more
