It does help to visit on different days of the week because some of the best deals are day-specific. Friday is worth the trip for the half-price coffee alone. Thursdays are probably my favorite day to shop because the store tends to be quieter in the morning, but Fridays are definitely the day to go if you're looking for some of their better specials. One thing I really love is the breakfast meat they cook fresh in the morning and put out on the hot bar. You can grab a container of bacon or sausage and be on your way. The bacon is especially great because we'll buy extra and use it for other meals later that day or even the next day. The store itself is always absolutely immaculate, and the staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive. And then there's the coffee. This location has a Boxcar Coffee shop inside, and it's fantastic. Their Boxcar Blend whole bean coffee is superb. We also buy one of their darker roasts and blend the two together at home to make our own house blend, which we love. The baristas are wonderful--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely know coffee. If you're someone who enjoys talking about beans, roast levels, brewing styles, and different flavor profiles, they can absolutely carry that conversation. Between the clean store, great staff, fresh breakfast options, weekly deals, and one of my favorite coffee stops, Lowe's Foods has become one of my favorite grocery stores to shop.

My only complaint is it's in Carolina Forest. After getting groceries and gas I went to the exit with stop light to make a left turn and I was in a huge line that wasn't moving. The traffic light would only cycle to the Yellow Turn Signal so only one car at a time was getting through. It was super busy with traffic. I changed lanes and made a right to go down to another light and turn around to make a left at that light which did do the Green Left Turn Signal. I made it the 3rd cycle. I heard about traffic here , but didn't know it was this bad. So I won't be returning here for this reason. Food Lion is only about a mile or 2 away from where I'm staying and unfortunately the ribs I came to get were not even that good ! Dang.
