I would have kicked myself if I had passed, it was outstandingly well prepared and flavorful :) But this review isn't actually about the food ... @Jessica and @Paty @Guillermo I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Andrew on my first night at Mama Cuca's and America in the bar on my second night. I've worked in Michelin restaurants in Napa Valley and these two professionals are genuinely absolute ACES in the craft of customer service. I don't write reviews to complain so when i take the time to write these it is because the service or quality was so outstanding that I NEED other people to know so they don't miss out on such an incredible experience. Both America & Andrew had us laughing and enjoying every minute chatting with them. The incredible food, combined with incredible staff ... needless to say I passed along my experiences to the folks I was in town to help with a tech deployment and will be coming back myself in a few months when I'm in town again. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where we weren't even offered a refill on chips. My father had to repeatedly ask for water. Our waiter barely checked on us at all and essentially only returned when it was time to bring the check. Meanwhile, we watched the manager make a point to visit and speak with seemingly every other table while completely passing over ours. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but I can absolutely speak to how we were treated, and as Black customers, the difference in attention made us feel singled out and unwelcome. After YEARS of supporting this restaurant, that is incredibly disappointing. If this is the level of hospitality the new management considers acceptable, they are going to run a once-great restaurant into the ground. You cannot expect loyal customers to continue supporting a business where they no longer feel valued or even acknowledged.

Super nice staff- they recognized us a first timers and took the time to go over the menu and offered samples- it's a Chipotle style go through the line and order place. Charmelle was great on explaining the menu and follow up while eating- and it's not a typical waitstaff type of place. Food is very fresh and generous helpings Update from today; we have been inside a few times and everything was still good. Today, however, the drive thru is terrible. Almost bad enough to make me not want to go back. They messed up two orders of nachos, charged us extra for extra tomatillo sauce but failed to give it to us. The nachos in the store have both queso and shredded cheese on them. These had over cooked shredded cheese, dried out meat, and they failed to give us the double rice for each one that we ordered. Will never use the drive thru again, and it's going to be a while before we go back. Such a shame too, we really liked the place; that's why , despite being in a hurry today to get food, we decided to go here instead of the normal fast food places. But 44 bucks for one quesadilla and two non edible nachos is ridiculous. read more

I ordered online, went in 20 minutes after the order was placed, walked in and there was only one single customer eating. Nobody was around, heard laughing in the back of the kitchen area, stood around a couple more minutes then peeked around to get someone's attention, one worker seen me but didn't bother to ask if I need help. I walked back to the register for online and to go orders and waited until another worker came out from the bathroom area, I was asked if I could be helped, I said yes I'm here for my online order placed 1/2 an hour earlier, the worker asked my name and looked for the order and realized nobody had paid attention so they had not started it yet. Pretty lame and poor work ethics, there was no apologies or sense of urgency, definitely not about customer service. read more

Yummy fresh food! This was our first time, a kind gentleman guided us to the line to order where we met a very helpful employee, Charmelle, she gave us samples and talked us through the menu. She was very friendly and patient as we were deciding. I ordered the nachos and my husband ordered the steak quesadillas. Fantastic fresh choices! We also ordered their queso and had their guacamole. Both are fresh and tasty. Charmelle gave us a sample tasting of the yellow pepper pico stuff and it's amazing, will add that next time to my nachos! Great choice and great service!
