Today I visited this establishment on my way home at approximately 3 p.m. placed an order for a Chicken Quesidlia meal. Waited approximately 5 minutes after paying (the wait time wasn't the issue) only for the young lady who took my order to come back to the window and ask if I need anything. . After my silence, she said "Oh, you're waiting." She closed the window and returns with my order (not) about 2 minutes later. I live about 25 minutes outside Mansfield now so it was to my displeasure to get home and discover an incorrect order. The chicken quesidlia I orders was void of the chicken I paid to receive! The cashier was nice. The food and agua frescas are not good. Nothing worse than spending money on food that is unappealing and overpriced for what you get. The horchata I ordered had a taste of nutmeg and old watered down milk... priced at almost $3 and I dumped it after 2 sips. The green chile sauce was overly sweet for some reason, the black beans are soupy, and the refried beans taste like canned beans. This is place is alright. It's not your authentic Mexican food. & the tortillas they use for the enchiladas are really thick. The beans are refried and are pretty tasty. I'm not a fan of the Spanish rice, it's very Tex Mex & I find there food to sit very heavy. I was full for several hours. The burrito is why my boyfriend ordered and he enjoyed it! The drive through service was super quick. I was thoroughly impressed by that because I visited during lunch. I'm not a fan of non-authentic Mexican food so if you're looking for "street taco" or authentic Mexican food then this is not the place to find it. It's not their fault I don't like this style of Mexican food (they make enchiladas with thick flour tortillas)-that's a big NOPE for me! It has good energy and is very very clean. Costa Vida is a good place to eat. Food is fresh and delicious. I've been twice with my child. Their customer service is above and beyond. I ordered something without reviewing the menu. It was sweet and tasted good but it was not what I wanted at the time so I went back to purchase a new item and the young lady's working there wouldn't let me pay for it. We tried a few things, burrito bowl with chicken, steak and black bean nachos, and tortilla soup. Everything had a nice taste. The cashier was fun and shared a love of the food we were about to eat. Look. Their food is pretty darn good. It's the only reason we've come back. The staff is usually pretty nice but they seem to always be distracted. Today was the last time we will come inside the restaurant. It was absolutely disgusting inside. Not a single table was clean. I'm talking about heaps of crumbs, sauce puddles, cups and trays left out on every. single. table. The floor was a disaster and the drink table had spills across it. If they were busy, I could understand. Except we were literally the only people in the restaurant. Even an employee had a hard time finding a place to sit and eat on her lunch break and yet she did nothing to correct the issue afterward. The whole team remains talking to one another and goofing off as I write this. I've seen the manager pop his head out twice and still nothing has been done to clean the place up. Gross. read more

Amazing service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and everyone was wearing a a mask. In addition, the staff was super helpful and joyful to be working. I was checked on multiple times and I really appreciated their joyful customer service. Overall, Mayra was phenomenal. She prepared my food very well while explaining options and prices. If i could give zero stars I would. Overpriced, mediocre food and bad service. The salsa was extremely sweet, the steak not tender and full of fat and gristle, half of it wasn't even edible. Disappointed this time. I developed a tomato allergy (OAS at the moment until further testing). I have no issue telling places no Tomato and no lettuce since previous employees told me it could be contaminated. I'm a busy mom and rushed home to find out they completely got my order wrong. Lettuce all over my food and still gave tomato's in a tiny container on top. I didn't eat my food due to not wanting to risk my mouth swelling due to cross contamination. This location just opened and decided to give it a try since I've never eaten at one before. As expected it was packed and was a pretty long wait ... so used drive thur. They had one person going over menu and explaining choices of meats and dressings and one taking orders. They both were friendly and knowledgeable about items on the menu. I went with grilled steak salad minus beans, rice and tortilla chips. Also picked up a shredded beef taco and steak taco. They were very accommodating with removing high carb items from my salad. It took a good 45 minutes to get though line but well worth it. The young lady at window was friendly and efficient. The cost was a little more than average but was about what I expected. The salad was amazing! The beef was juicy and cooked to perfection and the ranch tomatillo was a perfect complement to steak. I splurged on carbs and ate the shredded beef taco with the flour tortilla. It was pretty epic and one of the best tacos I have had. The tortilla was a hybrid of tortilla and pita. I definitely will be going back when the newness factor wears off and less busy. read more
