Unfortunately none of that applies anymore and this updated review is much different. They have changed owners and they will no longer allow a customer to bring their own oil and filter. On top of that their quote for a simple synthetic oil change on a 2013 Honda CRV is $120 which is as ridiculous as I can imagine anywhere. And telling them how surprised I am and that I think they're going to lose business and I have four vehicles that they won't get, their assumption is that won't happen and they'll be just fine. So let me be the first to say goodbye Victory Lane! STALE REVIEW BELOW, NO LONGER ACCURATE! Professional. Clean. Kind. Thorough. Polite. Fair prices. Quick. Waited in my car. Need I say more? There is absolutely nothing the large chains offer other than constant upsale pressure and inflated prices. Then they do poor work and are sloppy! I waited in line for about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad, but had to wait in my car because the waiting room was locked. The oil change itself also took about 20 minutes. The last 5 minutes was because only one technician knew how to use the computer to charge the customers. Imagine my shock at finding out that a simple, no-frills oil change cost $117 plus tax! I was left with little recourse since the work had already been done and I did not ask in advance, but I will not be returning. Car dealerships charge less than that!

I don't mind not receiving the presoak, so I opted in for the $20 deal for the other two vehicles. We go at least once a week while out running errands. Sometimes the wash is packed, and sometimes we get right in. Either way, our car is always clean when we leave. And, while I appreciate the free vacuum upgrade, I do wish they'd have them checked more frequently for suction. There just doesn't seem to be enough power to do a really good job on the interior. But, I still use the air and the cleaner for the hard surfaces. Both function properly at all times for me. Personally, I'll keep using this place. It's a good value for the wash. I change my own oil, and detail my own interior, so I don't require those other services. The employees we've spoken to have all been very friendly, and quite willing to help with any known issues. 5 stars, for sure.

Now, I will tell you, we have patronized their establishment since we purchased the vehicle for regular maintenance, and they have always been wonderful. However, it was not until we were in real distress that the true value of this establishment shone through! Ben Shabib has been working with us from the beginning, and he is truly a Godsend. In addition to knowing my wife and I BY NAME and greeting us with professionalism and respect EVERY TIME, he PERSONALLY took an interest in the status of our repair job. Regardless of what vehicle you drive, A1 is truly one of the best service centers I have ever known. If you have car troubles, and are within three states of these guys, it is WORTH THE TOW to get your vehicle to them. I could go on, but I am worried about running out of space in this review. Thank you, A1 Auto Service Center, and WELL DONE!

And, after calling numerous other locations with no luck and rude staff, I called Midas. Amber answered the phone, with nothing more than hospitality in her voice. I asked her about the empty oil drums, and she asked me to hold. I waited less than 20 seconds before she returned with a response. I was told they did have a couple, and was offered them free of charge. Unlike a few other places that want anywhere from $10-30 per drum. When I arrived to pick up the drums, I was greeted immediately. That was a wonderful first impression. I was asked to back up to a bay and the drums were brought out. The gentleman loaded the drums in the back of the truck for me, and wished me a good day. Now, that may not sound like much to some, but as someone who still remembers how customer service standards used to be, I appreciated the hell out of this location. They have a firm grasp on what it takes to stay in business: The customer. I will not even bother with another location for my vehicle needs. This very small interaction with the team members here told me everything I need to know about their business practices. It's absolutely absurd to me that more places don't adopt the Midas way of doing business.

The oil change was fast, efficient and they did not seem to try to upsell. I also timed my visits well before their closing time. The AC work was a little more involved. I have an AC leak. Rather than doing hundreds of dollars in diagnostic work, he stopped after the vacuum test and recommended that I bring g my vehicle to a place that specializes in AC work. And to my surprise they did not charge me the $75 fee for the initial diagnostics. This impressed me greatly and makes me willing to bring more to them because the tech knew their ability level based on the time allowed and the equipment they have in their shop. I was rushed for time and needing an oil change before heading out on a 6 hour road trip to pick up a horse the next day. My dad offered to take my truck somewhere for me while I was at work, and Trinity was able to fit it in. I knew the truck needed a new fuel filter in the near future which they said they could go ahead and replace, but when they tried it wouldn't fit. My dad was told "It's the right one but a different style" or something of that nature so they put the old one back in. No, what actually happened is somewhere during this visit, someone broke the cap on my fuel filter and didn't bother to say anything. Fast forward to the next day, I am in Pennsylvania hauling 7,000 pounds behind me and begin to smell diesel. My dad said they spilled a bunch messing with the filter so I didn't think much of it until the truck starts smoking and I realize I'm getting about 5 miles to the gallon. Diesel was spewing all over my engine from the broken fuel filter cap. I am very lucky the truck did not blow up on the highway. Do you have any idea how expensive it is to have a truck, steel trailer, and horse transported 3 hours home on a minutes notice?
