I asked for the price before my appt ($75) which I thought was bit steep for an updo but I thought well if it's that expensive and she's asking me to have my hair washed she must be good. WRONG. I feel bad for the lady honestly because she said she's been doing hair for a long time & was even a cosmo instructor and I think she tried her best but if I've learned one thing from having my hair done is if your ask for an updo and she doesn't style your hair at all prior to starting the updo just get up from the chair and walk out the door because you will more than likely hate it. I knew I should have just left when I had her start over twice and then began explaining to her how she could possibly do it so that i would like it. Bobby pins & hair spray was all she really did. I think she curled like a few pieces with a straightener after it was in the bun. I kid you not when I sat in my car and closed the door 2 pins fell out of my hair. I'm not sure how that was supposed to last all night at a wedding. I paid $75 dollars just drive home, take it down and do a better job myself. Don't go here for important events lucky I had time to fix my hair but it could have easily ended up in a disaster. You're better off just looking up hair tutorials on TikToK. I told her I appreciated her apology and the offer, but felt that I made the right decision to move on. ********************************************************** So disappointed writing this... I have been going to the same stylist at Salon Blonde for a couple of years. I'm always on time, make my appts in advance, and have only had to reschedule once due to a medical emergency. I showed up 10-15 minutes early to my appointment yesterday afternoon and was sheepishly told by the new receptionist that my stylist's client before me "got there late" (although I didn't see her or anyone at her station...). I was then told that she had asked someone else to take my appt... "if that was OK with me..." No, its not OK... this isn't Super Cuts... there was no attempt to call/text me to see if I wanted to reschedule, or to even offer me the option of seeing a different stylist. If she was really physically in the building, wouldn't she (after two years) have apologized and told me this face-to-face?? I decided to reschedule, then thought, nope,... not doing it... and cancelled. I understand if there is an emergency, but if the receptionist knew about this enough in advance to inform me of the issue when I walked in, the salon should have contacted me. Not sure what happened. Guess I will never know since I won't be going back. Salon Blonde, your regular clients deserve better.
