I would not recommend. I'm torn on the rating because the end result looked okay, but I chose what I chose because of value and lack of price transparency. I was honestly excited to come here because I was able to snag a last minute blowout appointment and I've had great success at similar places in the past. Walking in, the place is definitely dated and the chairs are old with cracked material. The wash is good and as you would expect. My blowout was fine, but took way longer than it does anywhere else. I was there for 55 mins. The blow dryer temp was definitely extremely hot and with all of the passes over each strand of hair I was definitely nervous my hair was getting fried. When I get blowouts, I'd say most salons spend more time doing a rough dry prior to going in for the style portion so I was really surprised and honestly kind of concerned by the two minute rough dry here. The real shock came when I checked out. I was charged $78 so after tip you're talking over $90. For a blow out. From COST CUTTERS. I was in a rush to leave so didn't have time for an argument but asked why so much more than usual and I was told because of my hair length (mine falls to about the length of your armpit) and how long it took. And there was no mention of extra charges during the consultation. I have probably had over 50 blowouts from stylists around the country and this is the most expensive blowout I've ever had in my life. So save yourself the money and go to Blo, DryBar, Pink Soda, Gallery at the Mill, Icon Salon, Strand, or literally any other "expensive" salon in the area because they'll take out their Dyson, Shark or other dryer, have you done in 30 mins, and charge $40-60. read more

This place is a clown show. The place feels like a run down 1990s mall. The quality of the haircut literally is a "cost cut" and of poor quality. They have you in and out in like 10 minutes and do the bare minimum. On top of that , every time I come here it's a different price either up or down, but overall is expensive compared to other much better options in the area. My first visit to this particular location was a dream. My stylist April was able to transform my dead, one dimensional hair into a stunning layered look. Not to mention she was able to see me immediately as I walked in. Pricing was fair and I was completely satisfied. Today.. June 22nd 2019 I went into Cost Cutters to get a trim and purple in my bangs. The manager, Laura, whose always been very pleasant, told me that I'm not allowed at their establishment because one of their hairdressers messed up my color one day by not putting it in foil and had me sitting under the Dyer and not turning it on. Of course I was upset because when she rinsed my hair the red dye went throughout the rest of my hair..I had her color it black and it took a few weeks for the red to be washed out. I was simply stating how upset I was and what a horrible horrible job she did. Definitely very unprofessional and I only went there because of Kylie( something to that effect) whose awesome. I called corporate and the BBB. I've been going there about 20 years and I get kicked out because of incompetence. read more

Do not get your hair cut here. I came to get a little trim and layers in my curly hair. The stylist was lovely but she just did not do my hair well. I went back to this location after the haircut was done, maybe a half an hour, and they closed before 5pm, which was the listed time to close. I then called the next day to tell them I had to get a haircut AGAIN at a different place because they messed up my hair. They told me they could not give me a refund. I told them I had pictures of my hair and they said if it makes me "feel any better" I can bring them in. read more

Been coming here for years, and as of late, it's even better than its been before. They've had consistent hair dressers where it used to be a carrousel, and it makes all the difference. Pretty much this is a cost cutters, you know what to expect going in there. This location normally doesn't have much of a wait if any. Longest I think I have ever had to wait was about 15 minutes. They typically have between 2-3 people on at a time, and over the years I have probably had all of them cut my hair. Most of them are extremely nice and friendly, and I can't think of anytime I left there thinking they really butchered my hair, but then again the way I wear it, its pretty simple and hard to mess up read more

This is the third time at least that I've gone with at least an hour still left for open hours and find them closed or like tonight, there are three of them there and they are closing shop an hour early. No explanation but just a "sorry we are closing early". Terribly run of this now seems to be the trend of this store. I will no longer be coming here and they have lost my business moving forward and I cannot recommend them any longer. DO NOT GO HERE. I came here for a trim, and I ended up with butchered hair. I have a layer about the length of my ear, and it's totally unmanageable now. It's very choppy and very uneven. I told the stylist when she started cutting of my bangs (that I wanted to grow out and be the same length of the rest of my hair) why she was doing that, and I didn't want that, but her response was that I could style it with hairspray and Bobby pins and it would be totally fine. I can't put my hair up or in a half up half down without the choppy, shortest layer falling all around my head. But it's okay, because "I should be able to fix it with Bobby pins and hair spray." I need to have my hair up constantly for practice and work, and I can't do that when I need 70 Bobby pins to hold my hair still. After I left, I ran back in because I forgot to get my eyebrows done, but the lady at the front desk told me she had already closed the register and I couldn't, even though there was still 10 minutes to close. This was my first time here and I urge everyone not to go and end up with butchered hair like me!! read more

I came here for my first time on a Saturday a few weeks ago and it was horrible. The salon was run down looking and the woman cutting my hair was unfriendly and inappropriate. She was the manager, Laura, and she was screaming at one of the receptionist right in front of everybody about not scheduling an appointment correctly. Then she started talking to me about how "dumb" the poor girl is. She was so distracted that I ended up with a lop sided haircut and a crooked line on my neck. Whoever owns the place shpuld get rid of her. Nobody wants to hear about employee issues and get a bad haircut on top of it. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Went here because my friend raved about this place said she had good service whenever she had her haircut. Even any of her coworkers come to this place. I Came from out of town not even given the option if I would like to donate my hair she just started cutting away. And when I asked for her to cut more off she made the comment that she only has 20 minutes to cut someone's hair regardless if she has 20 minutes to cut someone's here I am the person paying so so if it takes 25 to 30 minutes to cut my hair oh well on the one paying not her. Need less to say I will not be going to cost cutters again. In my opinion one star is too much. So in the long end of it I paid for a haircut that I was not happy with at all read more

What an unexpected gem i came in for a cut and style and got the best cut and blow out i have had in years i had a talented stylist named Andrew he was so nice and accommodating i had a few ideas about how i wanted my hair cut and he gave me exactly what i wanted!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! I've tried giving them a chance number times and they fail each time. The first time I went for help with a bad dye job, told me my only option was to go red (and this was the owner!). Second time went for highlights (they gave me maybe 6, couldn't even see them). A few months ago I FINALLY had a good experience, young girl, short hair, small. She had the haircut I wanted and she did a great job. I went back a couple weeks ago for a TRIM. Just a TRIM. The new girl shopped my hair into tiny layers and left two long tails in the front. Im sure they could tell how update I was since the manager or owner (whoever she was) was saying how great it looked. (BS). Im so upset about this because it takes a long time for my hair to grow and now im stuck with this botched haircut that this new Spanish girl did. Literally go ANYWHERE but here. They don't listen and Im not sure where this new girl went to hairdressing school but she should've failed if that's even possible. read more
