Instead of having a conversation about how to get the bangs I want, she just did the wrong thing. And when I asked her to fix it she just cut some weird line that doesn't fit into my hair at all. I called to see if they would take me as a walk in and the nice lady told me over the phone, yes, come on in. When I arrived, I was in awe of the cleanliness and spaciousness of the beauty salon. When I looked the shop up to begin with, I thought the shop name was so cute, I decided to give it a try. The owner and I chatted while she roller set my hair. She gave me a few good tips and pointers. She also explained to me why she prefers Keratin over the relaxer. I of course asked her opinion. The shop is run on decency and in order. They don't leave you sitting under the dryer just waiting until they finish another job. Once they hear the dryer alarm go off, someone promptly comes and gets you to continue doing your hair. I like the fact that there's a big of a minimalist perspective here too. They have beautiful decor, but it's not over done like in some beauty salons. I can say I will come back again for sure. If I lived in CT., this shop would definitely be the place for me.

GREAT CUT, GREAT STYLIST…read more I had the worst haircut in my life (I'm not kidding, it was a Helmut of doom) from another salon in the area and I called Zinc desperate for help and the owner Chris answered. I am a singer and my hair has a lot to do with my image, I felt the first salon totally took way my identity and duped me by giving me an inexperienced stylist while I was dealing with a crisis (I had to cut my hair long hair due to loss from Covid.) After my second visit, the color lasted for two weeks but had to be corrected again. The roots didn't turn as grey, but my hair went from brown to copper red. Lorena was able to fix it within a couple of days, so I tried again. I hoped by then, she would do a better job. Unfortunately, that third appointment was not a good decision: so much of the color washed out, my grandson asked me if I had dyed my hair blond. This is not a problem I have ever had in the past, so don't understand why Lorena couldn't get it right. I finally gave up and switched to another hair stylist at a different salon. My color has been perfect ever since.
