She's also very nice and fun to talk to. She's not the kind of hairdresser where you have to go in knowing exactly what you want, which is really nice when you're trying to do something like grow out a buzz cut. The salon is much quieter than other salons I've been to. It's also not super dark like others. Just in general, this salon is nice if you have sensory problems. I also don't feel pressured to chat the whole time if I'm not feeling up to it and just want a hair cut.

My first experience was with Rosie and Danielle helped with the last two visits. Both are very good and happy to assist with my requests. Being a male, it's not very common to have a perm, but my requests have been centered around roles in musicals, though I enjoy the look well after the productions are over. Having that extra body in the hair has been fun, something that I've not had for many years. As my wife can attest, I've had a number of different looks, but this was one of the biggest ones, even considering when going bald for charity for a number of years. That said, I've enjoyed the conversations with both these stylists. Both Rosie (one of the co-owners) and Danielle very personable and kind, to top off their skills behind the scissors. I also had my daughter get her hair cut by Danielle and she absolutely loved the result. The bob-cut was executed very well and has grown out very nicely to boot. Can't wait to get my wife in there for a new do!

It becomes a FRIZZ-head when not properly cut and shaped. More I like my Red hair LONG. This was indeed a challenge for Me, the first meeting of a new stylist! Melanie is the most appeasing and soothing person, with a Gentle touch. Redheads are known for their sensitivity and RED Temper, contradictions! Melanie, when she washed my hair, her fingers touched my tender head with thorough "Merciful" fingers, then converged through my long FRIZZ hair. It has been over a decade of years since I could find an "adequate" hair stylist, more a knowledgeable Stylist who is not daunted by curly fizzy hair. Soothing and comforted.....what a great combination. MIRACLES do happen! More, I wanted to keep all that hair long as possible, HUGE CHALLENGE!! Melanie did not flinch instead - confidence exuded; she knows how to create miracles. Asked questions, mapped out her skills with her shampoos, conditioners and scissors. Melanie is soft spoken, likes to laugh, and when I sat in her chair, with my Service Dog whom Melanie was very wise and accommodating, bringing my Service Dog a beautiful soft blanket for her to lie on. What great treatment. Melanie washed and conditioned my hair and trimmed all the RED FRIZ away and still I have longish hair. I can't say enough about my experience. When entering the warm Hether's Salon, I was immediately greeted, sat in a comfy chair, allowed to be quiet, (this is so nice of them cuz of my Sweet beautiful Service Dog draws attention!) Hether's and Melanie are Keepers, they understand and perfect hair, they Listen to their customer needs. Lots of parking on the streets, and lots of stores and possibly some good eats around Arvada after some comfy treatment. Hether's is conveniently located on frontage street, when arriving you are in for a Treat!! Thank you Melanie!!! My photos continue to not upload, I truly wish to show off the fabulous cut Melanie professionally accomplished Bummer!!

Not only funny and enjoyable, but talented and responds to the client's wishes. I had been traumatized by a previous makeup failure and the makeup artist who backed out 30 days before my wedding! Sara took such good care of me, and absolutely smashed the natural, "no makeup makeup" look that I was going for. My hair was also gorgeous, by Sara. My bridesmaids and officiant also looked absolutely stunning. The salon is also a lovely place: roomy not crowded, quiet and peaceful not loud and aggressive, and all of the staff were *so* very kind and friendly! Very welcoming and pleasant place. My new favorite salon!

This is the first experience where I have felt my stylist genuinely cared about what I was hoping for. I have very fine hair as well as have used boxed dye in the past so my hair was dry/damaged as well as had a reddish tint to it that I hated. Kelsey was able to not only remove the reddish tint but also color it to be a beautiful brown with light brown/golden highlight(and cover up the stubborn greys that were coming through!). She was also able to cut/style it to just what I envisioned! It looks and feels so healthy. Everything from her really listening to what I was hoping for, to the friendly conversation, cup of coffee, to the amazing scap massage during the hair wash, I highly recommend booking an appointment at Vaia with one of their talented stylists

Pick up that phone and make that appointment to know the answers to those two questions. LOL! Hey my priorities eschewed mission aside aren't you one bit curious? I think most of us need that connection with a hairdresser and the utmost trust that she can translate our vision. Because sometimes there aren't enough words to really tell someone that when my hair is a mess it could really mean I am a mess till I get my hair issue fixed. My hair stylist here is Valry. I met her way before she moved into this gorgeous salon. She's my person. She understands me. I was an orphan before I met her. I told her that. My girl before her moved back to Kentucky and I was lost. Bouncing from one stylist to another. Until Val. So this new location where Valry moved to is owned by a husband and wife team. Lucinda and Sam. Lucinda has over 25 years experience in the industry and my stylist over 10 years. Over 35 years put together is quite amazing. I love the vibrant colors inside this salon. The open air design. The Color Bar. It looks just like bar except it's for hair color and such. The floor to ceiling mirrors to the left and right past the check in counter on the left is fantastic! I want one in my house! They only use the best products. Location wise it's prob the best in Denver! It's next to Launch Colorado and if you've been there then you know that this is such a scenic location. Very representative of CO and it's abundance of beautiful surroundings. This location is not far from the Red Rocks official hotel and across from the Hogback parking lot and next to the Kum and Go gas station. Drive a few minutes and kick back while they do your hair in peace. Lots of parking and the food and coffee next door is great!
