Horrible! Lazy workers! Went in at 10:10 with my 2 kids to get an easy trim and the staff was insistent that they were booked all day. aka "Highest Cost Cutters"... $5 more for a basic men's haircut than Great Clips or Supercuts, each only 1 mine away. Great Clips was $16 and JUST raised to $18. This place was $19 and raised to $23! My haircut takes 10 minutes, literally. I will no longer be bringing my family there to do haircuts with this prices so much higher than any other local cutter. read more

I wish I could leave a zero star review. Michale was extremely unprofessional with my 4 year old son. His comments were unnecessary and lack of patience showed he clearly should not be in this line of work. My child is 4 so he needs reminders to look down or stay still but to yell at him?? Not ok. I asked to speak with a manager and Sara was extremely unhelpful. She overheard every rude comment Michale was saying and not once stepped in. I have been going to this salon for a couple years. I never call ahead for an appointment, I just swing by to see if they are busy--they usually complain about me not calling in advance to make an appointment but I just swing by and if they're not busy, I get a haircut; if they are busy, I come back another time. The last 8 months, they complained very loudly to me about not calling in advance but I ignore them. Last time I stopped by there was nobody in the waiting area and one person in a chair getting tended to. The guy at the front desk had a serious attitude since I didn't call ahead and told me I was second in line (even though there was nobody in the waiting area and it was 4:10pm). The next appointment was at 4:30 yet I was second in line. I left and will never go there again, terrible attitude by the staff. read more

Matt rules.  Matt is a total Hair Rock Star.  I came in with the biggest hot mess of hair...bleached and toned over and over again destroying it; I am pretty sure that we had to remove a Scarecrow from the back of my hair (or birds' nest made a home there too).   I walked out today looking like a damn princess.  He is smart, he took time to assess what should be done, and he found the right solution for me, so I know he can do this for anyone!  I also think he is a fun person to talk to, but this Man has hair skills big time!!! MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS: Hey Corporate Cost Cutters: when you have loyal talent like this, you should recognize it and make it financially worth his time.  He and I did not EVER talk about wages, but I believe he is a big time asset to your company and you should recognize that. I've been getting my haircut here for close to 17 years. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I usually choose to get my hair done by Josh, Maria, or Dianne. These three are phenomenal. They do a fantastic job, they make great conversation, and the haircut is done in 10-15 minutes. I have never had a bad haircut even when it was done by someone else. They don't seem to like when you just show up without calling ahead, but it takes maybe 30 seconds to call ahead and then you show up when you're supposed to and someone takes you back and cuts your hair. This is the best cheap haircut location in the Erie-Lafayette area, and I would definitely recommend getting your haircut here! read more

Nope, nope, nope! Made an appointment online for my 88 yr old mother with mobility challenges. I received a confirmation email. When I took her to the appt. the guy with green hair said there was "no record" of my appointment. I showed him the confirmation email and he just said that the online scheduling doesn't work well and they were "too busy" to take her. He was rude, abrupt and acted annoyed by us. No apology, no attempt to offer another time, nothing. Lousy customer service. I do not recommend this place. I should have read reviews before taking her. The male stylist, josh has the worst attitude ever. He is so pissy at all time. He seems very unhappy with his life or his work, why is he here? When ask how long would it take, he gave me the face like I was crazy for asking then. He never smiled - worst customer service in the world. If you live around here, I suggest drive another ten mins somewhere else. I also called to make appointment. When I got here they told me that I didn't have any appointment scheduled and that they don't do appointment for just styling. That's a total lied. I called and someone put me down in the book. When I called, I even ask if I should wash my hair beforehand, the person who answered the phone said no because styling is better on dirty hair! I was told that it won't be long until I get called. I have a special needs soon and Joshua always takes the time to make him look great--which can be hard because he moves a lot. There is only one person there who I trust to cut my hair - Josh. He does an excellent job every time. I have had little luck with other stylists at this location or elsewhere, so I always seek out Josh. I'll wait a week or two if he is out on vacation rather than go elsewhere. Quantity over quality describes the girl that cut my hair. I asked for a quarter inch off face framing and a bang trim. She chopped off about 2 inches on one side of my head and and inch and a half on the other side. She didnt even take the extra 2 seconds to make sure her cut was even. Also, she didnt speak two words to me during the haircut making it incredibly awkward. The only thing she asked was "do you ever even brush through your hair" extremely insulting. I will never go back. If you want a good cut pay the extra money and go see a real stylist. read more
