Nice little Greek spot in the heart of White Rock. Plenty of parking if you're not going in peak times. The service was good - even though it was busy during my visit. The food itself took longer to arrive. The Rack of Lamb and the Roast Lamb was seasoned well, the Greek dry ribs were good as well. Portions were okay. Worth a try if you're craving Greek in this side of town.

Craving some Greek fare, decided to come to Cosmos in White Rock. Parking is all along Marine drive for a fee. when you come at prime times be prepared to do a bit of driving from lot to lot and waiting for someone to leave a spot! We had no wait as it was a Thursday evening and not overly busy. Server was attentive to start, and grabbed our order promptly. We started with the Saganaki. It was decent, it's something I order often at Greek restaurants and this one was ok. Needed to be a bit more crisp on the edges and it was plated in a dish of the same colour. Not eye pleasing, ya know? I'm all about presentation and colour. Once we finished our appetizer, it went downhill pretty fast. We waited over 45 minutes for our main course to arrive. Not great. I felt bad for the server, he apologized and thanked us for our patience. Once our main dishes did come they were OK. Nothing spectacular, under seasoned and the tzatziki was bland. Once we asked for the bill it took another 10 minutes to get that and then we had to wait another 5 to 10 minutes for him to get a machine to us. The restaurant was nowhere near full so it was hard to justify the delay in everything. Hopefully this review will help them improve their service and getting food out of the kitchen a bit faster.

Chaos at Cosmo's Never to come again!

Very sad celebration for Mother's Day! We had waited over 2 hrs and still not served our main meal! Our server Steve was so busy that it lacked polite service! They ran out of clean cutlery and was told to use our dirty cutlery. It seems like this family based restaurant was busy making money and over booking which caused terrible customer service! The owner lady came and told us we came spariodically so this was our fault our food has not come in on time!

Got the veggie deluxe platter which included 3 falafel, fried eggplant, potatoes, hummus, choice of…read moresalad, pita, and dips. The menu in store said it also came with 2 grape leaves but those were not there. I liked the tabbouli, which was fresh and extra lemony. The falafels and eggplant were too oily. It was good that the falafels were extra crispy but I felt like I could taste the oil itself, and the eggplant was completely soggy with oil. The potatoes did not have the excess grease problem and were nicely seasoned. The hummus was good but drizzled with oil which was the last thing I wanted more of. The pita was the kind you can buy at the grocery store, would have been nicer if it was warmed up. The veggie deluxe plate was about $20 after tax, which is towards the upper end of prices for donair shops. This plate does contain more of a variety than the falafel plates at lots of shops though. The amount of food was enough that I felt full. I can't really say if it was worth it because I was so turned off by the greasy eggplant that I wasn't able to really enjoy it. To me the staff was neither friendly nor unfriendly. Anything with falafel takes a little longer because they fry them to order, so considering that, the wait time for my food was reasonable.

One of these days, I'm going to sit down in the restaurant and give a review on that end. For now, all I can speak on is the food. I ordered my lunch at the office from SkipTheDishes. The Greek salad was tangy, vibrant, and crisp with a tang from the green olives and a zip from the feta. The flavours mingled into a fresh, onion-fueled bite topped with cleansing lettuce and cucumber alongside fresh sliced tomato. The mixed shawarma donair in tannour bread? If you're ever ordering from here, do *not* miss out on the Tannour bread. Light, crispy, flavourful, and a perfect shell to hold the fillings of juicy meats, veggies, sauces and all. Combined with their house hummus and hot sauce? You can't go wrong. The whole meal was filling, flavour packed, and healthier than other options. You can literally taste the freshness. I would have liked more feta and olive in my salad, as a personal preference, and couldn't find any chicken in my "mixed shawarma", but nonetheless, I did enjoy it very much. If looking for a good appy, I recommend their "lentil soup" or "seasoned potatoes as well (be warned these are oiled up but oh so good!) I'll continue to be a regular at Crispy Falafel when ordering lunch, and continue to recommend to friends and family ;)

With a business that has the word EXPRESS in it, this is nowhere near that. I placed an order…read morethrough Door Dash that was supposed to be delivered by 8pm. after seeing the time change 3 times to what was now 8:30pm, I messaged Door Dash to ask if I could just cancel the order and I would order somewhere else. To my surprise, I was notified by Door Dash that they do not actually do the delivery and PFE does their own, and I would have to contact them directly (This is the first time I have heard of this). So basically PFE uses DD for advertisement. AAAANYWAY, I contacted PFE and said that I would like to cancel my order because by this time it was an hour since I ordered and was placed, and it was getting late. PFE told me I could NOT cancel the order because it was already IN PROCESS in 5-10 minutes. After another 30 minutes, I finally received my food, COLD and not good. The pizza was average, The roasted potatoes listed as "Family Recipe" was A SINGLE skinned baked potato, halved with oil (NO SEASONING). I can get average pizza anywhere and not have to wait so long. Buyer beware. I will definitely not be going back.

I really didn't want to give this a one star, as 1 star does seem extreme, but it really does…read moredeserve only a single star. I'll bullet point it out. + A young staff running the place. It's like high schoolers who are more about talking to one another than getting great food out in a timely way. + I ordered the roast lamb and added a skewer of chicken souvlaki, so it wasn't a small order. + I ate it there. + After I ordered it, it took about 1/2 an hour to get my food. Yes, a full 30 minutes. At the 25 minute mark, I started counting to 300 (5 minutes) and figured if I hit 300, I'd just walk out. Seriously, my food came at about 290. If you feel like you're going crazy reading this, imagine what it was like to be me waiting there :). + This entire time, all I could hear was the guy cooking the food, talking to the cashier girl. + Finally got my food, and I swear it was all microwaved. We all know the rubbery consistency of nuked meat. The chicken was absolutely microwaved. So rubber, no grill marks, big chunks of chicken, but just not prepared well. + The lamb was just mediocre. + The menu said the lamb comes with roast potato and a greek salad, nothing about rice, but I got a ton of rice and a little nugget of potato. + Why did this take 30 minutes? I was there at about 6 pm. It wasn't busy. The owner Peter used to own the various Porto Fino Expresses around. For a variety of life reasons he moved on and has opened this place. It's like he's lost his passion for things too. It's really unfortunate. I've given him business for larger events that I've had, and been to Plaka several times, but after this last experience? Never again.
