Kleftiko, the House Specialty, and Spanakopita appetizer.

New Zealand lamb shoulder baked slowly in mustard sauce, served with Greek salad, potato, rice, pita bread, and tzatziki is the most delicious House Specialty. The lamb was tender and delicately seasoned. The food was great. Service was slow even though we were only 2 out of 5 diners, but it might be slow due to the large number of take-out orders; I counted seven in the hour we were there. We will definitely go back and enjoy a drink and appetizers while we wait for take-out to be prepared.

Sweet 3.75 stars, based on the Ekmek. Overall, tasted good, for sure the quality is there. Roasted almonds, plenty of it. and unique shortbread crust at bottom, think that's what owner said. Compared to Zythos, just a notch down, still 8/10 but I've got higher standards, as I eat ekmek whenever I can. Didn't have the fluffiness & texture. Here, almost like a cake. Anyways, recent paint job since new ownership change, now a bright orange. And got rid of pasta & pizza, now it's truly Greek. located in the nice part of Newton.

ATMOSPHERE: it's nice and dim. Not over the top decor, pretty standard for a family run restaurant. Came in with a party of 11 on a Friday night, there were about 3 or 4 other tables with diners at them and they had our big table reservation ready for us. FOOD: was pretty tasty but since we were a party of 11 and had lots of food to order, the meat on a few entrees was basically cold when it got to us. The owner was cooking and he had one waitress working. The appy plate before the entrees was very good, however, we all enjoyed that. Also, I expected a bit more generosity with the pita bread & tzatziki, but oh well. PRICE: standard. No real good deals here and nothing that is ridiculously overpriced. You'll pay the same at most Greek restaurants. OVERALL: tasty food but nothing to really make me want to come back - although if I did, it would be with 4 or less people. Must time out the meat skillfully!

A lot of Greek places I find are the same. Some are good, most are pretty average and some are just, terrible. Of course you could apply this to any type of food, but for argument's sake, let's talk about Greek food in particular. In Surrey, you have a few choices for Greek food, Anastatia's, New York New York, My Greek, Vlassis and the list continues. The Greek Corner opened up about 4 months ago, and replaced the long standing John's Greek Taverna. Having been to John's a handful of times, I was sort of skeptical at best about this place. However, one stuffy Friday night, when I didn't know what I wanted to eat, I decided to take my mom out for dinner and give this place a shot after reading a few reviews which seemed mostly positive. Hey, you never know if you don't try, right? I'm sure glad I did. The decor seems pretty standard for a Greek place, hardwood flooring, dimly lit, and a nice skylight above which encompasses most of the dining area. The owner was super friendly and outgoing, and he really puts you at ease. As far as I can recall, the menu consists of mostly Greek items, and does not have the items you often find at other Greek restaurants like Pasta, steaks or pizzas. This is fine by me. On to the food, which is the most important part of this review. I ordered the chicken souvlaki, and my mother ordered the calamari plate. Both plates come with a side of rice, Greek salad, potatoes and pita bread. The pita bread comes sliced into nice neat pizza shaped wedges and are warm and tasty. They go quite nicely with the tzatziki sauce which is a little thicker than most places I've been. It is quite a nice change, and it is fairly creamy and has a nice hint of spiciness to it that finds a good balance to go with the pita bread and the rest of your dish. The chicken souvlaki was presented in a pleasing manner, chicken atop rice with sauce, potatoes and salad off to the side. The chicken isn't on a skewer, it appears they take it off for you, so that's a plus in my books, and it is nice and moist. It isn't overly dry like a lot of souvlaki that I've had before, and this moistness accentuates the spices and herbs for a pretty astounding souvlaki. I'd easily rate it as one of the best I've had. I've always been sort of turned off by the way potatoes come on a Greek platter since they always seem to burn my tongue after-taste wise. I usually refrain from eating more than a quarter or so of the potato, but that wasn't the case with these pomme de terres. They are balanced and aren't overly spicy or saturated with whatever causes that tongue burning sensation, so that was a pleasant surprise. I ate both halves of the potato for what it's worth. Next up is the calamari. It's almost like once you start popping these things, you can't stop. This plate also came with the same sides as the chicken souvlaki. The calamari are very crispy, and the individual pieces seem slightly bigger than average compared to other places. That being said, you might not get as much as you would at other places, but I don't think the Greek Corner is competing on quantity. Rather, it seems they want you to enjoy the flavours of their dishes, and really when they combine like this it is difficult not to do so. I will also add that you don't come away feeling bloated and on the verge of a carb coma! Another plus in my books! My overall verdict is, I've found a new favourite Greek place to dine at, and I know I will be coming back. The food is fresh, the owner is super nice and above all, the tastes just meld together for a very pleasing blend of flavours. Enjoy!

This place has a cute ambiance with great lighting for a lunch date. Came in trying to get some nice Greek food and was immediately greeted by our friendly waiter. He seemed genuinely nice and passionate about the food as he always checked in with everyone and started nice conversations. We tried the chicken souvlaki and it was delicious and fresh! I would definitely recommend coming here as it seemed like a friendly family run restaurant! Prices were pretty fair for the meal too! Great service!

I always like to order moussaka whenever I am at a Greek restaurant. The moussaka here was good, but it is not the best I have tried. The portion size is also on the smaller side. The quality is there. Service was good. We were the only table at one point before another set of customers stopped by. I give 3.5 stars for the moussaka.

To start, we decided to try something new to us: Saganaki. In all honesty it wasn't what I expected. There were so much oil and grease in the pan fried appetizer, it didn't work for me. Next time I'll try another appetizer or stick with the calamari. Husband ordered the calamari platter and I had the Lamb Slouvaki. Both were solid choices with lots of carb on the side! The restaurant was BUSY but that was to be expected on a Saturday night. It seemed like a good place for patrons of all ages (from young to experienced). Service tried to keep up and they were speedy enough. Not a bad place if you don't mind a loud ambiance.

A few months ago, my husband said that he had read very good reviews for it so we decided to give it a try. It was very good. Just like it used to be, so we decided to go last night - Mother's Day. I think it was a bad night to go. The service was excellent considering how busy the restaurant was, but the food was disappointing. We shared saganaki as an appetizer and it was good. It was flamed at the table, crispy on the outside and nicely melted. Served with pita bread it was delicious. The Greek salad was nice and fresh with cucumber, tomatoes and olives. My husband had moussaka and his comment was that he has had better. I had roast lamb. It was very dry and overcooked. Our entrees were served with generous portions of rice and lovely marinated potatoes We shared a bourgatsu for dessert and it was also very good. We would probably give New York New York another try since we did have a very good experience on our previous visit but last evening was very disappointing. I'm hoping that it's just because the kitchen was overwhelmed because of Mother's Day.

The spanakopita was delicious and the salad was well balanced with other vegetables instead of it just being cucumbers and tomatoes. It's still not Greek Village... This is the "wow" for greek food. Don't get me wrong, here in Surrey you can find good Greek…read morerestaurants; but this one is well over good, it is "wow" level. Greek Fellas sets the bar for Greek food for me and it won't be an easy one for others to meet. If there were more than five stars, this restaurant and its team would deserve them all. Greek Fellas is not just a restaurant...it's a feeling, a memory, a small journey to Greece without needing a passport. From the moment you walk in, you're wrapped in warmth that is genuine, & effortless hospitality that Greeks are known for...the kind that makes you slow down, savour the moment, and stay a little longer than planned. It's rare to encounter a chef who can elevate classic Greek flavours to this level, but they have done it, and they have done it with elegance. I've had a lot of Greek food in the past and this place is hands down the best Greek restaurant in the city! The food is absolutely delicious and filled with authentic Greek flavours that really stand out. Every bite carries care, balance, and authenticity. I was a big fan of the pita bread platter (Tzatziki/Hummus/Tirokafteri & pita). The tzatziki was so creamy and refreshing, and add in the warm, pillowy pita to scoop it all up, & suddenly it's impossible to stop! I'd say the star of the show was the Original Platter and first of all, it's huge! Mouthwatering every single time I think about it! The chicken and lamb were beyond incredible! The calamari was unreal! Tender outside and wonderfully crunchy outside! The Spanakopita was so good, it deserves the spotlight. And their Greek salad is done right! The cheese dish (Saganaki) was fire, literally! Crispy edges, melty inside, with that perfect hint of lemon! I didn't think it could get much better, but it did when we were served all three of their desserts: Ek Mek, Baklava, & Bougatsa. The Ek Mek is a three-layer cake that's light & luscious! The Baklava was an exquisite blend of flaky pastry and rich nuts. The Bougatsa was a flaky, crispy pastry with a creamy custard filling! It was the perfect finale! My mouth is watering just writing this review :) Absolutely killer Greek food and flawless service in the most coziest atmosphere! We ate so well! Expect generous portions, & real Greek hospitality! But what truly made my experience exceptional was the outstanding service. The service is just phenomenal here. No joke. There are very few restaurants that have this level of service. Seriously... You feel seen, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. That kind of presence stays with you long after the table is cleared. The family behind it is as wonderful as their food -- genuine, kind, and committed to keeping their traditions alive. The quality of the food was exceptional--each dish was crafted with the freshest ingredients, and the flavours truly transport you to the Mediterranean. Our server never missed a beat, checking in at just the right moments, and making us feel so taken care of. Thank you to the chef, and staff for going above and beyond. The team and the chef together create an experience that's not just a meal -- it's a moment you'll remember long after you leave. I love the warm and welcoming interior here -- it immediately makes you feel at home. The place was packed, which just goes to show how amazing this restaurant truly is. And let's be honest--I'm not just writing this review out of the goodness of my heart. I want Greek Fellas to be packed every night so they never go out of business, and I can keep eating here forever! With its outstanding cuisine, attentive service, and charming atmosphere, it's a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking to indulge in a memorable Greek dining experience. I wish that I could carry this place back home with me. In short: Greek Fellas is the kind of place you'll want to keep secret, but it's just too good not to share. Go, eat, enjoy--and save me a seat!
