    Roast lamb

Been going to Ramie's off and on throughout the years and find the food and service here consistent. Love the fact that they have parking at the back of the building. After 8pm, there's free street parking around the area too. My favourite is the roast lamb here - it's tender, decent portion, served with rice, roast potatoes, Greek salad, and warm pita bread. They don't skimp on the tzatziki yogurt here like many places do and I always have enough leftovers for lunch the following day. At $28 for roast lamb, it's a solid choice at Ramie's. Service is always friendly and consistent. Not hard to see why it's a neighbourhood staple that's been around for years.

A nice restaurant. Clean. Service is good. Portions are good . We ordered the roast lamb meal and it was good. Meat was good and the sides were decent. Very filling .

Combo platter includes rice, salad AND pita.

Was looking for a good Greek restaurant because the restaurant we used to go to the quality just wasn't the same. We stumbled upon this place and it is really good. Great flavour, great interior decorations and friendly service. Highly recommend!

The Roast Lamb was good but be aware of the price it's $30.95 nad not 28.95 that's listed.

The food here was not very good. We shared a calamari appetizer which was okay. I had the moussaka and my husband had the lamb souvlaki. Both orders came with bland Greek rice and potatoes and boiled green beans and carrots that were awfully bland and mushy. Our drinks were not great either. Husband ordered a double Caesar that was not double and was not spiced very well. The ambience was not very nice the seating was squeezed in and could hear everything the other guests were saying because we were so close together. The service was okay but overall we couldn't wait to finish our food and leave. Didn't bother with dessert because I was so disappointed with the rest of the food and drinks. DO NOT recommend if you're looking for a nice Greek restaurant.

For a truly authentic Mediterranean dining experience, look no further. This restaurant serves up tasty dishes, provides attentive service, and boasts a warm, traditional ambiance. Parking is hassle-free.

Ramie's Greek Restaurant 4287 Kingsway, Burnaby (604) 454-0199 https://www.ramiesgreekrestaurant.com/ Street Parking Ramie's has been there for a long time. We decided to have Greek food. Place was clean & nicely decorated with a welcoming ambiance. Server was very nice & accommodating especially when we don't like raw onions, she made sure there wasn't any especially in the Greek salad. My hubby judged how good the Greek food is by their moussaka. We order: Moussaka - hubby gave the 2 thumbs up approval Calamari - nicely crisp Keftedes - good Lamb souvlakia- a skewer of lamb chunks All dinner comes with a generous serving of Greek style potatoes, rice with steamed veggies, Greek salad & pita bread. We loved the pita bread that was served first, piping hot with a nice sheen of butter. Yum! Totally worth checking them out.

Located at Kingsway, I would have passed this place except for a recommendation. The restaurant offers dine in and take-out. The service is friendly and there are seating for couples as well as groups of people. The menu serves authentic greek dishes at reasonable prices. The homous was great and the bread toasty and fluffly. I haven't had chicken souvlakia for awhile and was not disappointed!! It came with rice, roast potato, vegetables, greek salad, and tzatsiki. There are times it gets busy at dinner time so it's always best to call ahead. Parking is metered at the street, but still reasonable.

The food at Ramie's is very delicious! They sure know how to cook. I have tried the roast lamb, calamari and chicken souvlaki. I love Greek food!

Its been years that I wanted to visit this place....finally today I did.... Medium size restaurant-Interior design is Greek inspired, colors and frames showing the pride of Greek...blue and white... I was early for lunch...I am the first person....But lots of plastics by the large table for pick up....Coll and relaxing ambience...server is very friendly... very nice...that smile makes customer feel more welcome....Kudos to you... Average noise level, Free and metered parking...but if you are wise theres a lot of free parking....Accept cash, debit, and credit. This location is very good...lots of business around and these area is lined-up with lots of restaurants.... EATS: Combo platter for $39.95 excluding tax and tip, I believed this is the best bet in here, first huge serving and looks like it can feed 3 hungry adult, the platter has chicken souvlaki, prawns, Scallop, keftedes, dolmathes, and calamari served with rice, roast potatoes, mixed veggies, Greek salad and pita tzatziki. Everything on the plate taste very good, the chicken souvlaki tasted superb and the calamari is the best...one thing I noted from the menu it says it has scallop....my order came without.... KEFTEDES-Greek meatballs made with lamb or a combination of beef and lamb with fresh mediterranean spices and traditionally fried in a pan. DOLMATHES-Greek dish made with either cabbage or vine/grape leaves, stuffed with mix herbs and rice, usually shaped into little rolls and boiled until tender.Sometimes stuffed with minced meat. Before finishing my lunch the place started to get busy.... I loved this place, huge serving compared to other, very clean and well lighted due to large glass pannel windows and its along busy street...i feel safer.. For Greek cuisine lovers...try this place...

We were originally planning to eat dinner across the street but the lineup was crazy. We decided to try Ramies Greek Restaurant instead. We dropped in on a Friday evening (around 8:30pm) and were the only customers dining in. The inside is roomy with several tables but avoid sitting near the door because they do a shocking amount of takeout orders. It was a non-stop flow of delivery drivers. The menu is split into appetizers, soups and salads, BBQ dishes, pasta, house specials, souvlakia, platters for two, seafood and desserts. Most of their entrees are in the $17.95 to $26.95 price range. - Pita bread - this came out first while we waited for our entrees. Lightly brushed with butter. The pita bread were soft with a nice chew to them. Wish they would have brought out some tzatziki as dip. - Roast lamb ($23.95) - the lamb shoulder as a mixed bag. Some parts were slightly dry but the other parts (closer to the fat) were fine. The Greek salad was plain and unmemorable. The vegetables (carrots, red pepper, zuchinni, green beans) were tasty but wish they gave you more. Rice pilaf and roast potato were good. - Greek ribs ($20.95) - ribs were on the small side and I didn't find them particularly "special" or memorable. Again, a mixed bag of dry and passable meat. Wouldn't order this one again. Not much Greek options in the city but Ramies was decent.

    Mousaka
    Carolyn L.

I like the pita most. Warm, lightly salted and a bit buttery (or just brushed with olive oil?), it hit the spot. We had the roast lamb and mousaka plate which came with rice, potato, Greek salad and tzatziki. My friend likes the roast lamb which is nicely done. The cut was proper and not full of bones. The mousaka was equally nice. Love the eggplant in it. Somehow we did not finish the food and I packed back the remaining. Food was good but not wow. Parking is available at the back. Or street parking is plentiful too.

The servers are always really nice. Gets busy at dinner time. Portions have gotten smaller with inflation. You don't get hummus anymore to dip with your pita bread. They also reduced the amount of rice that come with your meal. Other than that, still more affordable than other places. I ordered the half lemon chicken, the dark meat was delicious but the breast was too dry for my liking. Calamari and steamed veggies were a bit soggy and lacked flavour.

Wonderfuly light and flaky phyllo filled with layers of warm spinach. I was pleasantly surprised how warm it stayed and long the pastry remained intact and not soggy. My partner had the Greek Ribs & Chicken which came with all the Greek fixings ( rice /Greek salad / potatos / tzatziki & pita). The ribs has a nice seasoning run on them but like most Greek chicken ( I found it was quite dry). The potato's were not heavily lemoned either. It really was just a roast potato. We also had a Baklava. This was over sweet & heavy with what I found similar to the taste of black licorice or ouzo. Personally not a fan. We lucked out and got a seat to eat but most people appear to be doing take out orders and pickups here. Food takes a while to be ready so be ready to wait and eat with people sitting or standing waiting for their food. There is small side table, window counter and larger side table but there is definitely not too many places to sit. I'd recommend just puting in an order before showing up to save on waiting time. Staff was friendly despite how busy it got. Located on Hastings St. Plenty of street parking & side street parking and definitely transit friendly.
