I came to this nail salon when it first opened I followed the new owner Christine there because frankly she's the best. I stopped going because I decided to give my nails a break which I do every couple of year. Upon returning I still found the salon to be very clean, with friendly techs even the new ones, still good prices. I've tried a lot of the techs there until I found the one I felt was the best fit for me. Now I see just her, I get the gel fill with gel polish I can and have gone 3 weeks in between fills & not once has the polish chipped or peeled. I love walking into Cosmo nails & the stuff saying hi to you by name I always feel at home there. During the many different holidays I put Christine to the test by bringing in my pictures of what I hope she can do for me. She's never failed she takes her time she'll start from scratch again if she don't nail it. To me this nail salon is top notch all day, everyday. PS: Yes there is a little American white girl at the reception desk, she also has different color hair from time to time & not once in all the time I've been going there have I ever heard her be rude to anyone as reported in other reviews. I had gone to Cosmo nails a few times on my own, my experience was average, however I really liked the set up of the salon. The pedicure chairs were lined up facing each other so if you were with a bunch of friends you could easily chat with each other while getting your toes done. The place is clean and I really love Chapel View. With this in mind I booked an appointment for myself and my 5 bridesmaids to get our nails done on the day of my wedding. Well the staff was extremely rude to two of my bridesmaids who arrived early, while the rest of us were stuck in traffic. We were treated as an inconvenience if anything. I had asked if they could do shellac polish on my toes and the woman laughed under her breath and to a co-worker as if this was the most ridiculous request they have ever heard of, while other salons offer it. My sister was just getting a manicure as her toes were recently done and the woman asked my sister "Don't you have friends". I found this extremely rude and unprofessional. In the end I was charged $55 for a shellac pedicure, where most places charge $30, I will not be going back or recommending this nail salon anytime in the near future. read more

I stopped here for the first time a few weeks ago for a gel manicure. The girl at the front desk gave me a little attitude since I didn't have an appointment - whatever, it says "walk ins welcome" on the door. The girl who ended up doings my nails was much more interested in her cell phone and an obviously regular customer that was sitting behind me. Not only that, but my manicure did not last anywhere near as long as it usually does and it started chipping after a few days. My friend and I were looking for a gel manicure in the area. Walked in without an appointment for manicures and they were very accommodating from the start! The woman at the front desk was nice, welcoming , and helpful when we asked about the different manicures. We decided on gel manicures, and our techs were great! One of the quicker gel manicures I've ever got. The salon itself was nice both inside and out. I'd give it 5 stars though I must say hearing a few of the staff talk about another customer while on the floor made us a little uncomfortable - other than that great experience! read more

First time here - I made an appointment and saw Lindsey. Have to say that I was pleased! The salon is clean and conveniently located and my nail tech seemed to try to listen to what I wanted and make sure that my nails came out nicely. I would come here again! I've been coming here a couple of years and usually I've been very satisfied with the pedicure. The techs vary in their pedis so it's important to request the tech you prefer. One set back is that there seems to be a quick turnover and sometimes the techs aren't here long. I was very happy with a woman, who I regret is no longer here. I now see another tech who is excellent too. The fees aren't the cheapest in the area, but everything at Chapel View is somewhat pricer. I only let Christine or her husband David do my nails now but everyone who works there is very professional. Ladies brunch turned into pedi-fest and we strokes into this mani/pedi salon not knowing if we would even get a chair, never mind a good experience! More than impressed!!!!the ladies got chairs at the same time (despite a few had to wait a few minutes for a technician) but we were all comfortable and able to chat. Then the service...by far the beat pedicure I've had in a long time! Individual attention to 'the rough spots' and this was not the avg clean soak light scrub and let's throw some paint on these piggies...the beat pedi and well needed! Ill be back Cosmo! read more

I was in the neighborhood today and decided I wanted to get a full set of acrylics to treat myself. When I sat down with the nail tech she kept saying something about a manicure. I said yes and assumed maybe it was apart of the acrylic treatment.. Other salons I've been to before have included this. Five minutes in she begins speaking to the front desk woman who then confirms to her that I want the full set of acrylic. Clearly there was lack of communication going on because shouldn't the front desk have told them what my appointment was for?? Then the nail tech proceeds to give me an attitude by saying "I asked you twice about a manicure and you said yes" placing the blame on me. So we're already off to a sour start, but I let that roll off my back and we proceeded. Finally, we get to the point of putting on the nails and the tech asks me "how short" so I tell her, then she begins cutting all 10 acrylic nails. I soon realize that she didn't ask what shape I wanted and interjected with, "oh I wanted to get them almond shaped". The woman now begins, once again, placing the blame on me. "You should have told me that! Now they're too short!" She says with a bad tone basically scolding me. Normally, you ask your client what exactly they want at the beginning before you start the process. You should never just assume what the client wants. So, after an rude/awkward back and forth about what to do I tell her to take them off. From then she starts angrily sighing like this is my fault that now she has to do the extra work of fixing the mistake. We continue to sit there in silence the entire 1hr 1/2 I was there without any apologies until I was done. The finished set came out okay, but I can assure you I'll be going to get them filled somewhere else. Not worth the $35 I paid (their site says $30 so I gonna assume she charged me extra for the mess up) and the unfriendly atmosphere. read more

Got a great Halloween manicure at Cosmo Nails (black and orange french with an accent nail with a hand-painted spider and web). I had a bit of a customer service mishap when I came in September with a bridal party but the owner, Christine, made it up to me by offering both myself and the bride $25 gift cards for our next visit once I contacted her. I received excellent customer service on my return visit and was very pleased this time. The salon is clean and comfortable and offers lots of colors. Their gel manicures seem to hold up well and last longer than other places I've tried. Based on my second visit and the steps the owner personally took to rectify a negative experience, I would recommend it and will go back. read more

Disappointing. It had been about two years since I went to Cosmo and always had a good mani and pedi, but I returned and it wasn't good at all. The technicians in general were not friendly, mine in particular was miserable. She rushed my manicure , seemed to get upset when I told her I didn't want to wash my hands after the terrible hand massage she gave me and the nail polish she used had streaks and she didn't seem to care. Love Cosmo Nails. I come here for Shellac manicures. They do an awesome job! They take their time and give you a full manicure before applying the Shellac. I have been to places that totally bypass the manicure process and just do the polish. For $25, my Shellac definitely lasts a couple of weeks. I have been to an upscale spa nearby and for $40, i only got a polish and it came off the following week. Totally recommend Cosmo for a shellac and other nail treatments! read more

I have been going here for several months. I always get a regular pedi and the gel mani because it last so long. I was happy at first with attention to detail, but as of late the quality has been slowly deteriorating. The last gel mani I got was average. It chipped, which it shouldn't. It stayed softish, which it shouldn't. My most recent manicure is worse! In less than 24 hours I have lifting and peeling around the cuticles because she went over, saw that she went over and attempted to fix it with the brush and acetone. Less than 24 hours later and I have 3 fingers that look horrible! I will not be going back, which is disappointing considering I have been going there for awhile and drop $80-85 each time. read more

This is a clean place, I watch them clean the sink after a pedicure. The instruments are always in a new plastic bag which they get from a sanitizer I'm assuming. But there are several things not good about the place. First, they speak in their language amongst themselves which is very rude!!! Second, since they always speak their language, they don't know English very well. They have a strong accent, so when they speak you cant understand them. Thirdly, they wear a mask, which I understand helps with all the chemicals they are working with and so even worse trying to understand what they are saying. When you call, the person on the other end seems like she doesn't want to answer the phone. Basically she is not wearing a smile. I believe the owners should talk with their staff and address these issues. Finally, sometimes they rush and I always have an appointment, I'm sorry if I make n appointment, I don't want to be rushed!! Then they end up nicking you on your toes or on your hands. This place is very clean which is so important when getting my nails done. I don't think it is always the best manicure, depending on who you get, but the location is super convenient and the price cannot be beat. Definitely better than your average run of the mill nail salon. If you are going at a busy time I would recommend calling ahead to ensure they have availability. read more

I called for an appointment for pedis for my wife and I just a little before 10am, and they said they had availability at 11am. Great! We got there around 10:55, and we're in chairs at 10:58. I thought it was a great start cuz it was my first time going there and it was recommended. However, a woman begins working on my wife's feet, and I sat with my feet soaking for 25 minutes before I was even looked at! My wife was done long before me. Now I wouldn't have cared if they were short staffed or busy, but they took other people before they took me.. even though I had an appointment. The girl working on my feet was rude and rushed. Then told me that my toes would be dry by the time two cycles go through on the drier. Guess what? They got ruined when I walked out the door. Will not be going back! read more

This was my first time here and David was the guy who did my pink and white manicure. He did such an awesome job he's a perfectionist. The only thing I did not like is the customer service. The woman at the front desk was not friendly did not smile at all. After having the nails on for two weeks one of my nail broke off so I had to call there was no answer I called about five times. I even had my boyfriend call there and someone obviously answered. He had explained to the woman on the phone that I need to come back in and have my nails fixed. She told him to have myself call and so I did. She was confused as to what I needed to get done I told her specifically that I need one nail to be fixed and the other one has a crack in it. She insisted on a fill which I never asked for. What I really want to say is take the damn freaking nails off and I'm not ever going to come back! read more

This seemed like a nice clean place and when I walked in (the american girl at the front desk who I assume is the same one all of the below reviews are referring to) had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for the service and just was very awkward and rude and definitely not the type of person meant for customer service. Long story short they said no sorry they dont do that here and im thinking what kind of nail salon doesn't do liquid gels? ?? I've been to lower class, not as nice nail salons that offer this service, yet cosmo nails does not. #epicfail. I'm giving two stars for location, cleanliness and the fact that my nails hardly ever lift. Unfortunately none of that matters when the people that work there are not just unfriendly but downright rude. There's only one friendly person there-Kathy-everyone else barely acknowledges you're alive until it's payment/tip time then they actually speak to you and look up at you. It must just be a miserable place to work because they don't even talk to or acknowledge each other. There's too many nail salons around to think that customer service doesn't matter. read more

I used to go to Cosmo religiously for years to get my nails done but then I moved. Well I'm back and I decided to go get my nails done and my have things changed! They now have a receptionist/gatekeeper/devil-incarnate teenage brat at the front door and from from the moment I walked in was rude and clearly had no interest in new business. The first thing she said was "do you have an appointment," then when I said no went from rude to full on condescending. It was 2:30 p.m. on a Friday and from what I could see when I looked inside was an empty salon with no one waiting. It was from there that she told me I could come back at 6:30 because I had gel on my nails. Any woman who gets a gel manicure knows that when you go to get a new gel manicure you are likely to have the previous gel on your nails. What difference does it make? Why should I have to be sent away because I do? What is the expectation, that I go peel it off in the parking lot? Unreal and un-seemingly foolish to ask. Clearly they don't need the business, so I'm taking it elsewhere. From other reviews I can tell that you guys don't really care for the business and bad service seems to be your practice. You should probably get a new receptionist or give her an attitude adjustment. What a shame, you guys went so far down hill! read more

If I was asked to describe this nail shop and their staff in three words it would be: Overpriced, Abusive and Rude. The young woman at the front desk is far from helpful and outright rude if you happen to walk in for a service. It is clearly expected that you call ahead to schedule any service, if that's the case it may be advisable to notate that on your door. I opted to wait for about 10 minutes and then was "squeezed in" after another client didn't show up. The technician I had was actually very nice and did a decent job on my nails. It wasn't until a few days went by when they were chipping off. I am unsure if the product being applied is actually the brand on the bottle. Save your money and go else where, you'll be treated better and have polish that lasts longer than 3 days. read more

Yes you had a pedicure done TWO weeks ago and the polish in fact had chipped off fast , but when u called us you asked for a pedicure service . And YES you have indicated that your last polished did not last , what I have said is if the happened again and if u would notify me right away that we will re polish your nail FREE OF CHARGE! And you went ahead and got the pedicure , but when it was time to pay you got mad at us .Yes I had said OK REALLY? but that was after the fact you said the lady who did your pedicure this time was very great and you are satisfied and she was execellent., But what ever you said after that I couldn't make sense of it cause you were walking out the door while saying it. You never asked for a fix but you asked for a pedicure and that was what given to you. We are in business for a long time a would Never treat our customers with disrespect or greediness. I used to go wherever could take me as a walk in but now I only go to cosmo nails. I don't request anyone specific as I have had both gel manis and pedis from all of the techs and they all do a fabulous job. I definitely recommend making an appt because so many people are regular customers now they are usually always busy. Love Cosmo nails. Just started going there after a horrible experience at another local nail shop. They took very good care of me and my mother. WE both needed pink and white new set and they look awesome. They are very welcoming and nice. We got pedicures today and after a few hours i decided i didnt like my color and the owner christine took great care of me and repainted my nails free of charge. Very friendly atmosphere, while having one of the best pedicure - Gel Manicure experiences ever. Nail technician "Le" was professional and detail oriented. I highly recommend this Nail Salon.
