I wanted so bad to like this place. First I walk in at opening and have to wait 30min while girls are eating instead of working. Then the lady doing my nails is having trouble as her vision is not very good (she should not be doing acrylics if she can barely see) and she is struggling to get them all even. She barely does any filing or buffing of the acrylics and I had to keep telling her where to buff and file. Then she starts polishing and the polish is just bubbling. I keep saying maybe the polish is bad and she just dismisses what I'm saying. I kept my cool the entire time and was super nice. The then got polish all over almost every finger and my toes. I have been coming to Cosmo Nail Bar for about 3 years now (Moved from Florida) and it is the first time I get terrible service. I initially went in for a pedicure on Thursday. I think the lady that provided the service was in a rush and immediately released me. She initially stated to wait 5 minutes for the toes to dry but I waited exactly 12 minutes. I put my shoes on, and left the facility. As soon as I got home I checked my toes and the polish was all messed up. I quickly gave them a call and the gentleman (extremely nice) said I could go back on Friday. I went back on Friday and Saturday and they were extremely busy. ( Mother's day weekend) so I told him if I could go in on Monday, and he said yes. I went it today Monday 5/13 around 1:55pm. I was greeted by a young lady who was extremely professional and helped me match my nail polish color. She walked me back to a chair and a lady came over a little after. When the lady arrived she looked extremely annoyed and asked me why I was there. I told her the story and she immediately answered this was my fault and I should have not put my shoe on. I told her the story and explained to her I was released immediately and that the lady had said they were dry. She rolled her eyes and started banging on the tub for me to put my feet up. I asked her it was not my fault she was upset and she didn't say anything. She painted 3-4 nails and I told her I could see another toe that was messed up. She rudely painted that toe too. Upon completion she said I was done. I asked if I could get the disposable flip flop, and she said just put your sandal on. I said no, they are going to get messed up again and I don't want that to happen. She started putting the flip flops on and they were put on incorrectly, I let that pass and went on to put my feet under the light. I asked her what her name was and she refused to tell me her name. She said "you don't need to know my name". A lady was passing by so I asked her who was the lady in the long polka dot dress and she said her name is Tina. Tina was extremely unprofessional and rude, and I don't think I will ever be back. Picture of the redone shows the toe was not painted correctly. When it comes time to do the design it's literally nothing like the picture and she acts so surprised when I told her I didn't like the heart. Well, he said if I could be there in 10 min he could have someone get my nails done. They are very close by around corner so I got there and he was still being rude! I asked him if they could not use the acetone bowl method because that gives me a headache but he said the cotton and foil wrapping method took too long and they don't have time for that!! After a small conversation with the person who greeted me at the door, I was brought over to the chair where I would then meet Ellie. Extremely engaging, warm and just over the top. She convinced to go for the Manhattan pedicure and to just go for the dip nail ($40). I'm so glad that I went for it. I wanted coffin these are like almond with a flat edge. She didn't compare each nail together they are different from the other hand. They aren't filed good it looks like I've had these nails for a week already cuz there isn't anything sharp about them. During the end I had to even ask for my cuticles to be cut while two other people stood over watching her, like they were confused on to why. None of the coats went under a light. Stopped at Spouts for lunch and noticed this little gem! The ladies in here are so damn down to earth and friendly. I came in on a Thursday afternoon it wasn't too busy so i was seen almost immediately. They have a full bar and all drinks are complimentary. I showed the nail tech some pics from IG to give her some ideas of what i wanted as i was unsure of exactly what i wanted and i was really happy with the results! I walked in to the salon on a Saturday morning and there were literally only 2 other customers there. This should have given me a clue. The woman who did my nails wanted to argue with me on whether my nails were acrylic vs dip powder. I was not arguing with her but simply told her I wasn't sure what was on my nails and that I always asked for dip powder, not acrylic. I am not a nail technician and don't really know the difference. Also, I only just recently started getting my nails done. She continued to be argumentative with me for about 10-15 minutes until I told her that I came to relax and have my nails done, not to debate whether my nails were acrylic or dip powder. I then politely asked her to push my cuticles back. I might have been overly tired from working all week long but I seriously only remember her pushing only one cuticle back. I asked her again if she wouldn't mind pushing my cuticles. She replied rudely, "Why would I do just one nail?" She was just over the top rude. I've never been treated so bad at a salon. Looking back, I should have just jumped up and walked out. This was the worst experience I've ever had getting my nails done!! I go to the nail salon to relax, not be lectured and talked down to!! While doing my nails, she spilled some of the red dip powder onto the towel. She then grabbed 2 business cards and proceeded to scoop the powder and put right back in the container that it spilled from. That didn't seem very clean and possibly a health violation if you ask me. But then again, what do I know?? I'm not a nail tech!! After all that, they charged me over $75 for the service. I have never been charged that much for dip powder. I was upset for about 2 days and will NEVER go back to this rude and condescending business. Upon entering the building I was greeted by very friendly faces and I must be honest, the fact that there was no language barrier really helped since typically they have a hard time understanding me or vice versa. The appearance is jaw dropping and so fresh. The light colors and diamond details against the Black background really gives the place a professional feel. The staff is dressed in all black and the men in ties with matching smiles to match. I called 30 mins ahead to set an appointment so there was no waiting. The pedicure water temperature was perfect and Helen really took her time. As I was getting my feet done, Katrina came over to do my nails making sure to place a pillow on my lap covered with a towel so I would be comfortable. I was there getting serviced for all of 1 hour 30 mins at most and stayed a minute to finish my wine. I have finally found a place that I can feel comfortable at and not have to worry about waiting on one specific person for hours to be available. I thought I found a place a few weeks ago but when I called to make an appointment, the phone was disconnected-oh well!
