Dr Quiroz did a face lift feb 2020...due to covid, I wasn't able to see him until Oct 2020. My face-lift started drooping in my cheekbone down and neck area. Dr Quiroz told me it was my skin type and he could not correct it after paying $10 grand. I went for consultations in San Diego and they told me to return to Dr Quiroz as he could correct it and he refused and now no one in his office will return my calls. I am frustrated and upset that I don't have an option to get my face corrected after spending so much money. I definitely DO NOT recommend Dr Quiroz at Cosmed Clinic. read more

Very disappointed with the consultation and overall experience. After the consultation, I reached out several times and no response! Not even the professional courtesy of simple communication. Lilia was communicative and aggressive in getting you in to the door for a consult, but after that will ghost you and not respond to messages. I did not go through with the lower facelift and necklift because I believe many reviews on here are fake, and I had a negative experience with the staff. I had a series of very confusing email exchanges with the front of house staff....they were not understanding my questions and answering them. I enjoyed my consult with the Dr, but after that one 10 minute call, I could not get a followup call to ask some specific medical questions about alternative procedures he offers. Also, the price I was quoted ($10,400) for just the lower facelift and necklift) is far higher than what people have reported to pay online for the same procedures and even some additional ones, at this very same clinic, with this same doctor. I have been watching the show botched for years and I have to say I am so lucky in 1997 I had breast implants and Lipo from Dr. Quiroz . They still look amazing. I have had them looked at multiple times in newport besch to see if they are ok or need adjustments and every dr has said leave them alone. They have said they look great. I first came to Cosmed as part of my research into abdominal etching. My consultation was with Dr. Castaneda, went great. It made a lot of sense given my body type so decided to go ahead with the procedure after speaking with him. Travel to and from the Tijuana facility went smooth and I was able to spend the night in the recovery boutique. Aside from minimal pain and soreness, my recovery was fast. The staff was friendly and professional every step of the way and Castaneda followed up with me regularly to ensure recovery went smooth. I recently went for some Botox. They quoted me $8 a unit so I decided to give it a shot. I saw Dr. Fuentes the dermatologist and he said I needed 16 units and not 25 like the other dermatologist say here in the States. He said cause I am young and that he wanted to leave my face a little more realistic and movable. So I said ok. I got them done and he was very patient with me. I really like the results, he even gave me sun screen and gave me after care instructions. Will definitely be coming back for my next consultation. read more

This review is for Dr. Fuentes and his patient coordinator Annie. Dr. Fuentes spent a total of 10 minutes with me discussing my procedure, he was not friendly, did not make me feel heard or taken care of, and in general felt very detached and uninterested in me. Not the vibe I want for something so important. His patient coordinator Annie is unprofessional and rude, failing to communicate clearly or quickly. She makes you feel as if you cannot ask questions and god forbid you need to change the date of your surgery! As an American coming down to TJ for a surgery, it was hard for me to find a date that worked with travel and covid, while I know this is a nuisance for staff, I also know that handling schedules is a part of customer service and something that Annie should not belittle people on and make them feel as if I am bothering them. I chose not to go through with my surgery with this clinic after feeling as if the hospitality and customer service etiquette of the staff made me feel uncared for. I also feel as if the reviews on this and RealSelf are fake/paid as I was unable to get in contact with folks who left reviews to ask questions. Maybe they do good work, but to me a part of the process is making people feel comfortable and accommodated, not as if they are a burden. My advice, go to your Dr. in the US and see if you have a deviated septum, if you do you can get a septoplasty covered by insurance and then add the cosmetic piece. I am trying to be of help to those who are contemplating getting surgery done by Alejandro Quiroz, at the Vida Wellness and Beauty in Tijuana. I am begging you to do your due diligence. Their business practices are highly unethical. They will give you a price in the beginning, progressing into a higher price as your communications with them continue. I was given a price of $6,400.00 USD. By the time I showed up for surgery, the price had gone to close to $20,000.00. The price they give is only for work that Alejandro Quiroz does in the surgery room. Don't believe a word they tell you or see on their website. On top of the price they give you one day prior to surgery, add as follows: The use of their surgery room, recovery room, anesthesiologist, medications, nurse work, and GOD only knows what else. The price for a facelift DOES NOT include the eyes. Add about 4 to 5 thousand dollars to that. The clinic exists solely for the benefit of its owner(s), never for the patient. As an example, Lilia Frettlohr, sales executive will do anything to get a sale and once you make the downpayment, she refuses to take your calls. I spent thousands of dollars traveling to Tijuana for a surgery that Alejandro Quiroz cancelled, telling me one day before the surgery was to take place. Absolutely inexcusable behavior on their part. I never received an apology even from Alejandro Quiroz, the owner of the business. In retrospect, I am very happy they cancelled my surgery. Through much research I found Dr. Carlos Vergara, a delightful, gifted surgeon in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico. I am still fighting charges made by Vida Wellness and Beauty (Alejandro Quiroz) in Tijuana. I know it is highly illegal to charge patients for services that never took place, especially due to their own negligence. Be kind to yourself and be protective of your wallet. Stay away from them. I had done a lot of research for the liposuction of just my lower waist area and the fat transfer to the sides of my bum. I've always been relatively thin and athletic but it was after a vacation to Thailand I realized no matter how fit I got I would never be able to have the body I was looking for simply due to genetics. My hips always stuck out more than my bum so I could never obtain that hourglass figure. I got a recommendation from a friend for Dr. Quiroz so I scheduled the surgery right away. My mind was already made up so I traveled to TJ, got my blood tests, took the before pictures and saw the simulation of what the doctor believed he could give me. The next morning I went in for surgery and it was all coordinated by the same person so I was only talking to one trusted person the whole time. I decided to stay the night at the recovery boutique and I'm so glad I did! After a surgery like that you really should because nurses checked on me every hour, helped with my medication and anything else I needed. The next morning I was off back to San Diego feeling great. It's liposuction so the next 3-5 days was rough. But after that you get stronger and stronger. I wasn't able to workout at the 4week mark like I thought, but that could be due to the fat transfer. The doctor was amazing and called to check up. My results 3 months on now are MORE than what I could ask for. I'm more than comfortable in a bikini now and love how clothes look on me. Really dissatisfied with Jarehne (receptionist)and Dr. Fuentes regarding professionalism. I initially contacted Cosmed for a procedure two weeks ago. Initially my phone and email interactions were very positive with Jarehne. After speaking with her I was eager to send over photos to Dr. Fuentes and get his "professional" opinion. When he got back to me the email was almost hostile; regarding what he found " realistic". He went down a list of flaws that made me appear almost deformed lol. I decided to brush off my initial gut feeling about this guy and take Jarehne's word on how awesome he is. After another email exchange he over priced me on a syringe of Juvederm (I attached photos below) Perhaps I am naive but I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. After emailing him back and being positive about working with him, I also added the correction on the price quote. Surprisingly he ceased to email me after calling him out, even after several different attempts via email. Jahrene was upbeat last week and assured me he was busy and would get back to me (nothing), then I was told (he's out of the office, still no reply) finally I called back again and told her my concerns regarding his lack of interest in taking me as a patient, "should I look to another surgeon at Cosmed, who do you recommend?" Her response, "just do your homework and look at the website!" Ummmm wow?! Quite a switch from the sweetie pie from last week. Do yourself a favor and beware! Regardless of $200 dollar price difference or $2000 it's totally unethical to bait and switch people. Not to mention I cancelled an appointment with a top surgeon in San Diego for this and now can't see him for a month. Total waste of time! For less than that, I had not only BA done but a lift and lipo as well! Definitely stay in the recovery boutique that is just downstairs in the same building. They have around the clock nurse care and everyone is SO sweet and helpful. The food is really good too! I can't imagine being kicked out right after surgery like I would have in the states. I highly recommend taking a day to get pampered at CosMed. I didn't feel rushed or ignored at all. My consultation was realistic and was not sold something I didn't need. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Quiroz, Dr. Fuentes and Dr. Garcia all very knowledgeable and friendly, never once did I feel uncomfortable. I was given a tour of the facilities, they were amazing, state of the art equipment and well staffed. I did a little filer and some Botox and was extremely pleased with the results. I'm surprised by the few negative reviews I saw. I had two procedures by Dr. Quiroz, and personally know more than five people who had procedures by Dr. Quiroz and Dr. Fuentes. The office is very professional, and my friends and I, several of us who are medical professionals (RN's and RCP's), and live in SoCal. While there are inherent risks to surgery, I know that Dr. Quiroz and Dr. Fuentes are cautious and would turn one surgery into two, without compensation, rather than putting a patient at risk. I trust Dr. Quiroz and Dr. Fuentes, not because of the price difference, but because I've personally experienced their work and because I've seen the results of their work with my friends. Just so you know, there is a dermatologist, Alberto de la Fuente García, who is very nice, professional and I'd highly recommend. read more

I went down here from SD to try the cool sculpting, I didn't realize it was not even cool sculpting until I got there. It is cool SHAPING. A knock off company that is very uncomfortable and takes longer. I was super nervous because I was driving down by myself. I had the procedure done. (no results) I was also told I had to pay for both treatments before I could get started, so they doubled the price. I did, but when I decided a few weeks later that it wasn't worth it they refused to give me a refund for the second treatment. Such a rip off! There goes $1200! Do NOT go! Went in recently for Botox with Dr. Fuentes and I am so happy with the results, I recommend him to anyone needing Botox! It was my first time booking an appointment at VIDA, and I was impressed by the facility, the staff, and most of all Dr. Fuentes. The center itself is bright, well-lit, clean, and to be honest more beautiful than most med-spas I have been to in San Diego and LA. I coordinated my appointment with Ana, and when I arrived she and all the other girls at the front desks were friendly and welcoming. The appointment itself only took about 10 minutes, and in that time Dr. Fuentes took before photos of my face, studied the lines in my forehead and between my eyebrows, asked me if I wanted any movement to keep a more natural look, and started injecting (I get 24 units). His process felt thorough and that he was taking his time, and between each injection he would ask me to furrow or flex my brow so he could see exactly in which muscle to administer the Botox. I have been to other places (in San Diego and LA) where a nurse would take one look, mark up your forehead, and inject the Botox as if she does it the same exact way for anyone. At VIDA I really felt that I was in great hands, and after seeing Dr. Fuentes and his decades of expertise as a board certified plastic surgeon, I will be coming back to VIDA again and again for my Botox. For less than you would pay in a (not so great) place in San Diego or LA, you could come to VIDA and be treated like a princess in their beautiful facility. I only came in for Botox but I saw they also offered so many other treatments. Ana also helped me coordinate a shuttle from San Diego so I wouldn't have to drive in TJ by myself. I parked in a lot near the outlets and was picked up in a VIDA van. My driver was Patty and she was so kind and warm that as soon as I got in the van I immediately felt like I was in good hands. The drive from there to VIDA (including crossing the border) was only 20 minutes each way. I'm glad I took the shuttle because it was so easy, but next time I am considering driving myself (the girls at VIDA mentioned they could provide a medical pass to get back through the US border quickly) so I could spend more time in TJ and make a day out of it. read more

You won't go in and come out looking like a model if you need a lot of work done but you will look like a better you! Dr Quiroz is a great Dr and so are all the drs who work there. I have had multiple surgeries and a breast job, and I look better from it! I plan on coming back for a face lift. I am happy with the work he has done on me. They are busy so you may need to call or email a few times but it's worth the good work he does!
