I bought my most recent car through them and it has been great. Josh B. was a very friendly salesman that walked us through everything and made buying a car a breeze. I ended up buying a different car than I had in mind but I am so happy with my purchase. When it came to scheduling an appointment for an oil change the girls at the front desk that are supposed to schedule appointments didn't know what they were doing. They couldn't answer my warranty questions or even scheduling questions as I was hoping to come in on the weekend. However, after calling back a few times I got ahold of Jeff and he was great. He answered all my questions and made sure everything was squared away when we arrived. When they took my car into service it they did great and worked efficiently even for a Friday afternoon. They left my car clean, updated and ready to go. I will certainly be a repeat customer in the future. read more

I recently purchased a "new" used vehicle at Corwin Ford Spokane. I am completely satisfied! The sales team were awesome - the purchase process was one of the smoothest I have ever been through (and I've been through a few to say the least). As someone who might be classified as a "serial car purchaser" (I average a new / additional vehicle every few years), the staff at Corwin Ford were both easy to communicate with and prompt in addressing any questions or concerns. They offered me a very fair value for my trade-in and the purchase process was nearly hassle free. I know the hype around the big dealerships is "big pressure" - but that is nothing at all what I experienced. I would highly recommend visiting Corwin Ford in Spokane Valley if you are considering upgrading or adding to your fleet! Also - while they might seem like one of the "big guys" they are still family owned and call the PNW home... that counts for a lot in my mind. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We took my Ford F-150 in for diagnosis/estimate. We were told one price on the phone, another price when we brought it in and then it was another $20 after pickup for "shop supplies". I guess every customer gets charged this even when all they do is plug the truck in, as the service tech told us "to cover the charge of the plastic and floor mats". Yet they forgot to give us those. When we first brought it in the sales manager also just diagnosed the truck for us without looking at it because he "really knows what he's talking about with these trucks". Well turns out he was wrong, they also told us things were broken that clearly aren't. We were treated very poorly, they are very pushy, and over charge for service. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

This isn't my first issue with the Corwin Ford Service Department. On my first appointment with them two months ago, the service attendant never returned my voicemail. I took my vehicle in this morning and began the check in process with the same service attendant. She asked me questions about my vehicle and it appeared she was checking me in. I'm sitting there waiting in front of her desk for 20 minutes and she then says to her coworker that she is unable to log into her computer. Another five minutes goes by and I asked her coworker if he can check me in. His response was that he was unaware I hadn't been checked in yet, but says he is busy doing something else and will be back shortly. Another service attendant that had not been in the area comes in and begins to help me. I explain my frustrations with the original service attendant, and he begins to blame me for not being checked in promptly enough, stating that I should have asked for another check in person rather than the service attendant requesting someone else to help me once she realized her computer wouldn't work. This is the last time I will go to Corwin Ford. Mike White Ford in Coeur D'Alene was so much better with customer service. read more

Welcome to the home of the 5 hour oil change. Completely incompetent service department.

What is the definition of insanity? Taking your vehicle to Gus Johnson's service department and expecting a different result every time. I quit bringing my truck here because they end up keeping my vehicle all day for an oil change and the service providers act like you are inconveniencing them. Didn't have time to take the family vehicle up to Foothills Lincoln so I dropped the car off today at 7:40 AM and it's 4:25 PM and the car is still on the lift for an oil change! The work they do is quality but they move at the speed of smell and are just not cordial. You don't have to give me a back massage but the least you could do is smile. read more

What's good for Gus... to hell with the customer. Service Department this morning: 6 customers waiting in line for Keith to check them in. The other 4 guys working there were helping nobody the entire time. But all 6 of us have to wait for Keith instead of one of the other 4 guys being able to help us. I'm sure this operating procedure works best for Gus Ford... certainly not for the customer and this attitude is simply indicative across every aspect of the business. My car, a 2020 with less than 20K miles is still under the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty. Yet, when I point out an issue that needs to be addressed they say it is not covered by the warranty. They just say it as a statement of fact. Can they explain why? No. Can they point me to the warranty language that excludes what I'm talking about? Of course not. Because it IS covered, they just don't want to deal with it. I on the other hand can read perfectly well, and I can read to them the warranty language and the exclusions and point out that none of those exclusions apply to my case. But they are adamant, nope, not covered... because to hell with the customer, it's all about what is best for Gus Ford. read more

We bought a Ford Expedition Max from Corwin. The rear A/C line went bad but we didn't notice it until just before the warranty expired because the warranty expired in the late winter / early spring. We called to get a service appointment and couldn't get in for over a month. By the time we got the vehicle in, warranty had expired. Turns out it's a "known issue" on Ford SUV's with rear A/C. It goes out so frequently the line is on national back order. And, the cost to repair (with outrageous labor costs) is 2000. Corwin asked Ford corporate if they would pay for the repair, and of course Ford said no. So, Corwin offered 12% off the 2k repair bill, which is kind of a slap in the face. I had seen bad reviews of this dealer before we bought, but we were in a tight spot and Corwin had the only decent used Expedition Max in town. The dealer has lived up to it's dismal rating. read more

Recently we worked with Emily Walston to find a used certified 2021 Ford F150 Powerboost. We are very picky on what we wanted. Emily went out of her way to help us find the perfect vehicle that work for us. She is very friendly, kind and a hard charger. When I made calls or sent text messages Emily was great always prompt responses. I would recommend to all of my friends or customers to reach out to Emily to purchase their next vehicle. Thank you so much Emily for a great experience!!! :) read more

Made an appointment over a month ago to have warranty work on my F150 modem. At the time they said sure bring in in today and we'll work on it. Now today Im checking in and was told they wouldn't be able to do anything since their so many reasons it wouldn't download updates. One of them wasn't because it was broke. Another dealership that's a waste of time. read more

This place could give a masterclass on how to lose a customer. Bought a car. Paid cash. Had my other Fords serviced here also. They treat you like garbage EVERY SINGLE TIME you walk in that door. They are all so self important and will never treat you like you are the customer. The managers are a joke and will NEVER RETURN YOUR CALL OR EMAIL. They left my car with two bolts holding on my subframe, and those were loose, causing me to have to take it to another shop to fix. They will not return my calls, email or anything. When I say run, I mean run. Unless you literally HATE someone, do not buy a car, do not have a car repaired at this shitty dealership read more

Thank you to Gus Ford for fixing our Ford F-350. We are visiting from out of state for 3 days and after driving for two days we got to Idaho and discovered our truck was making a loud, unusual noise. We knew it needed to get fixed ASAP. Or we would be stranded. After calling Ford dealerships in Idaho they couldn't get us in until December. Gus Ford was able to get us in that day and said they'd try to get it looked at that day or the next. We were great full for that. Next day they called, told us what it was and got it fixed same day. Everyone was very nice. Thank you very much for helping us in such a short notice and not to mention on thanksgiving week. read more

I had been looking for a low-mileage Chevrolet Volt, and found one online at Corwin Ford in Spokane Valley. I talked with a salesman who seemed very nice over the phone, and told him I was very interested. I had a paid-off 2013 Toyota Corolla to trade, and told him I would pay cash for the balance -- no financing. He told me that they had just gotten the Volt in on trade, and needed to go through it, and that it would be ready to sell in a couple of days. I live about 120 miles from Spokane, and I told the salesperson I would head over in three days. Just to be safe, I decided I would call before leaving to drive to Spokane. The salesman was not available, but they connected me with one of the managers. This person informed me that the day before the car had been involved in a "fender bender" on their lot, and that it now needed to go to the body shop for repairs. Given that the salesman knew I was very interested, and that I was headed in that direction to purchase the car, you would think he would call me and tell me about the accident. Nope. Luckily I didn't drive 120 miles for nothing. To keep this short, I will just say that I reached out many times, and the salesman I had dealt with was never available when I called to check on the status of the car. Finally, after many days I got a text telling me to send photos and the VIN for my Corolla. I sent these immediately to him via email. Then, only a few hours after sending this info, he texts me and tells me that another salesperson has taken a deposit on the car, and that it is sold. The lack of communication was astounding! I used to be a car salesman, and prided myself on timely, honest communication to keep my customers and potential customers informed. Evidently this is not the policy at Corwin Ford. This was a highly frustrating and disappointing experience! read more

We are from out of state with a 2013 F150. Made an appointment for today We thought to get the repair done only to find out that my appointment was only to get in line for service repair. They could get me in next Thursday for my diagnosis and repair. Not very good customer service in my opinion. We will go elsewhere. Spokane needs more mechanics read more

What an utter disappointment with this dealership. I had been working with a salesman, Jim, to secure the purchase of a 2022 F-150 powerboost for just over a month. The truck was in transit and had a $2000 market adjustment over MSRP. I have never paid MSRP for a car in my life let alone a market adjustment. I advised Jim that I would be willing to pay the MSRP but not the market adjustment. Jim said he got approval from his sales manager to sell me the truck at MSRP if it made it to the dealership without being sold to someone else or without someone else putting a deposit on it to hold. Jim said Ford would not allow me to put a deposit on it because they wanted their regional customers to have first crack at it. Jim said the truck would be on the lot in a couple of days. To make a long story short, I had weekly contact with Jim until the truck made it to the lot 3 weeks later and was sold...TO SOMEONE ELSE!!! On the dealerships "About Us" page they refer to themselves as "listening to the needs of our customers" or "creating an atmosphere of trust, transparency and ethical values." What a joke!!! Or how about this one, "We know car shopping can at times be stressful, but we can ensure our caring team will provide a seamless experience." Jim didn't even call me to advise they sold the truck after several attempts to contact him. SOUND TRUSTWORTHY, TRANSPARENT AND ETHICAL??? Definitely NOT words to live by with Corwin Ford. read more

Had a scheduled an appointment for my Ford F-150. The sunroof has not been working; after having the truck the entire day the truck had not even been looked at. When I finally got ahold of the Service Advisor there were no answers except that the techs had all gone home for the day. My daughter who dropped the truck off stated very clearly that she would need the truck that night unless they called her so she could make other arrangements to get to work, the phone call finally came after the shuttle was already closed for the day. Service Advisor made us feel like this was common practice to not actually diagnose the issue so they could wait for parts to come in. The offer was to leave the truck overnight to see if they could get the work done the next day and for us to rent a car at our expense. Sor far today I have left a voice mail for the Service Manager, had an online chat which said sounds like you need to talk with service manager, I'll send him a note and made multiple phone calls to the office which have went unanswered and left a message with a receptionist who was going to take the note directly to the service manager. I have been waiting for a return call from the service manager for over three hours to find out why we would bring a vehicle 90 miles one way, for an appointment and not have any type of work even started. read more

I have been working with Norm, and my experience has been great! I have had to do most of the process over the phone as I am out of town, but it has been a seamless process and I couldn't be happier. I'm hoping this car will last me for years but if I want a new one or know of anyone else I will be referring them to Gus Johnson. read more

Not a fan. Felt lied to by the guy doing my trade calculation. Gus Johnson is missed. Corwin doesn't appear to have the ethical standards the previous owner of this dealership had. I took my 2011 F150 in for service 3 days ago. I drove it yesterday. This morning, I went into my garage and noticed the panelnunder the engine was not fastened. So, im a retired 74 year old disabledn firefighter laying on my garage floor to finish a job I paid hard earned retirement dollars for. Probably won't return. If I could give zero stars I would. I purchased a ford from a friend who purchased it with Gus Johnson. It didn't come with cruise control which I didn't even know was possible but it is. So I decided to get it installed. I bought the parts needed and all they had to do was; Plug in the IDS then "Start New Session" then "Tool Box" then "PCM" then "Programmable Parameters" then "Speed Control" then "Enable". It took me about a week before I was even able to get ahold of the mechanic. And even once I did, he seemed to not have any idea what I was talking about and told me that what I was asking for was just not possible. So I took it to Wendle and the mechanic there knew exactly what I was talking about and had my cruise control up and running in less than an hour. read more

My husband needed his airbag recall fixed. He called and left a message numerous times they never called back. He finally went down to them to make an appointment. He "threw them a bone" and also set up an oil change so they would get a paid visit also. They said it would take 2-3 hours. It took 5&1/2 hours. Thankfully they have a shuttle that showed up one hour after he dropped his car off. They picked him up to get his car and the paperwork wasn't done so add another 10 minutes. They go get the car and drop it off and he waited another 10 minutes and they say"oh yeah I will get" wait another 5 minutes and they dropped the car off at a different entrance. Doesn't seem to be a well coordinated crew. read more

I am traveling cross country and had an issue with the install of my Master Cylinder recall was leaking, this was replaced by a dealership in MO. Called hoping they would understand and help me out. I understand they had nothing to do with the problem, but what do they expect me to do while traveling. read more

I live out of state and am in Spokane visiting. I needed an oil change on my Ford F250 and drove in this morning for an oil change (this dealership is the closest to where we are staying). I pull in to service as there is no Quick Lube as most Ford dealers have. I was promptly told that I cannot have an oil change today without an appointment. I left frustrated and not happy. Before coming I viewed their website and service information and no where does it say that an appointment is required for an oil change. I drove up north to Wendle Ford and they had no problem getting me an oil change. They were fast and courteous. I will be leaving them a 5-star review on their Facebook page. read more

Worst customer service. Not even a simple greet when you go into the service department here. When you go to buy a car you are attacked. Recently had a friend that bought a vehicle from them. He noticed a few things wrong, including the 3rd row that wouldn't go down electronically. They said if they put it down that's fixing the seat. Not repairing the motor or electronic components, just to get it in stow mode. Not actually mechanically work. Sad to see the customer service is only for a sale to be compensated, as far as repair, zero effort. I hope this place goes under soon so we can have a decent dealership that is ran how it is suppose to be. My experience was a noise, they quoted me and had me fix catalytic converts 3k-4k. The car still made noise, brought it to Les Schwab, they found cv axles were bad ordered them from Corwin and car drove fine. I don't think I needed catalytic converters. The vehicle ran fine. Rip offs don't shop or have your car worked on here. read more

They are inconsistent with what they say is wrong with my car. When there's an obvious problem the mechanics push it to the side even when I mention it because it was brought up previously. I test drove a car. I found the car interesting, but it was listed with a new car price even though it had 20k miles on it and was last year's model. Where's the negative five star review button? My husband & I just left Gus Johnson Ford after a disgustingly dishonest experience! We were told the price of a vehicle by our salesperson, who pulled the price off his cell. Based on the price we were given, we went inside the dealership to make a deal. When our salesperson came back from talking to the sales mgr we were given an entirely different price based on the fact that we didn't 'qualify' for a number of rebates. These rebates were NEVER disclosed originally! They would not honor the price we were given by our salesperson! To top it all off, on our way out of the dealership the sales mgr decided to make a mockery of the situation!
