Fettuccini Alfredo is tasty and not too rich 4/5, the bbq pizza was pretty good 4:5, the special chicken and vegetable soup was fail at 0/5. It was so salty and not edible. 4.5 stars! Absolutely delicious! We've heard a lot of the hype about this place and we finally decided to eat here. We were not disappointed. The servers were very sweet and attentive. The menu was quite large, offering lots of pastas and pizza and we ended up ordering tons of food. The Costa Azzura pasta was absolutely delicious and I would come back for this!! The pricing is very comparable to other Italian places and the portions are very good. I think the only thing that took away from my experience was that the interior lighting kept on flickering and it was distracting. Otherwise, food and staff were great! read more

after seated we ordered 2 waters. came promptly and the they came and my wife gave wine order and server walked away. causing my wife to laugh and offering to share hers dinner was quick and good ordered the sticky toffee pudding and it came so over microwaved I burnt my tongue and spit my dessert on the plate , chewing on ice to relieve the pain. I talked to the server she said sorry and she she would remove it from the bill. We we not in a rush so I waited almost 20 min for it to cool and when I tried a piece it had the microwave hardened edge on it and then I told her It was still too hot and we had to go Bill came and my wife said "oh were you not gonna take the pudding off". Felt Discriminated Against! I've lived in the area now for over 10 years, and this was the first time I visited this restaurant. My wife and I (who are of colour) walked in and stood at the front by the hostess table waiting to be seated. The person who seemed to be the hostess walked away, and 3 other waitresses walked right by us, not even making eye contact; it was as if we weren't there. One of these waitresses walked past us again and didn't say a word. That same waitress came back in that direction again and finally asked us where we wanted to sit; we said the patio, and she told us to find our own seat. We then walked out to the patio, and the seat we wanted was dirty. She came with the menus and saw us standing over the table because it was dirty; she only dropped the menus and walked away. Another waitress came, saw us still standing over the table, and wiped it with a wet rag. Because the table was wet, we asked for some napkins to dry it; she said the other girl would bring them. We kept standing, waiting, and none of them returned. At this point, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, both of them were doing other things; it didn't seem as if they intended to return. The first waitress that brought the menus saw us leaving and looked away as if we were invisible. As we were leaving, it was obvious others were not being treated in the same manner. The food is okay. Portions are small but expensive. Restaurant has a wonderful ambience. Nice lighting and seating. Service is slow, but this isn't a place to go if you're in a rush. Drinks are woefully weak! Ask for the alcohol in your drinks to be served on the side in a shot glass so you can see whether it really is 1oz or not. We had an old fashioned that was almost water-like, a few shots that tasted like all filler and no gin, etc. The bill however, was representative of regular drinks. Please get your drinks with the alcohol on the side, so you can ensure you're getting the 1-2oz that you've paid for. Other than that, it's an okay place. read more

A busy restaurant for all sorts of people from large parties, intimate dates and families out for dinner. Great vibes all around! However, we found the food, while tasty, rather lacking in serving size and WOW factor. This was the first time I haven't been offered bread at an Italian restaurant which, carb lover that I am, was looking forward to. It would have added that missing oomph to my Pescatora pasta. Our server was nice but I could tell she kind of saw our table as an "easy" one for the night and wanted to just check all her boxes and get us out (I mean, with small kids she wouldn't be 100% wrong lol) so she can be more attentive to her larger tables and better tipping cocktail drinking ones. Seated right away on the patio. The place was still hopping on a Saturday night at 9. Pleasant waitstaff. Prompt to take our order, and return with drinks. Ordered bruschetta and a caprese to start. Bruschetta was very tasty and served partially cut for ease as an appetizer. Well done. Caprese tasted very fresh. My wife had pasta with seafood in a tomato base(Linguini Pescatore)). Loaded with seafood. Very tasty. I had the beef rib with fries and veggies. Veggies were done perfectly. Potatoes were a little soft, but very tasty. The beef was FANTASTIC! I needed no knife. Firm and tender, it was done perfectly. Dream bomba for dessert. Nice presentation and yummy way to finish the meal. Total : 89.44 with tax. DEFINITELY WORTH THE STOP IN WHITBY. read more

My girlfriend and I went to Corrados for the first time last night. WE WILL BE BACK!!! When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. The hostess gave us the option of sitting upstairs or downstairs, we choose upstairs. Once seated we were brought out fresh hot bread, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. I like to mix the balsamic and the oil with some parmesan cheese. We started off with the muscles which was a very generous portion served with an excellent red sauce. For our entree we had the Eggplant Parm and the Alfredo with Chicken. Both meals came out extremely hot and fresh. For desert my girlfriend and I had the toffee pudding (10/10). The service was excellent and with tip it cost us no more than $90! read more

November 26, 2021 - my boyfriend & I went to dinner and it was amazing! We sat upstairs which is very cozy with personable service. We each got an app - bruschetta & mozzarella sticks - which were great. For the mains we had Veal Parmigiana & Chicken Marsala - a little bit of a wait for food but we'll worth it! Dessert was Tiramisu & the Chocolate Truffle (bf says it's the best dessert he's ever had!). Coffee took a bit to come out but again we were okay to sit & talk while we waited. read more

Corrado's is average at best. Service was friendly enough, but overall we were disappointed with the food and experience. Here are the details... - Ordered the antipasto, was not fresh. Looked like it was pre-made and had been sitting a while. The bread included in the dish was stale. - We had to ask for a basket of bread. Normally this is the first item brought out. When they did bring it out, it was just two plain buns you could get at a grocery store, and a bit stale. - My wife ordered the pizza, crust was chewy and undercooked - I had the chicken parmesan. The chicken was actually very good, along with the sauce. For the pasta, I asked for spaghetti, they gave me spaghettini. Not a big deal, but it was overcooked and not drained properly so when they brought the dish the sauce was watery along the edges of the plate. - Both the pizza and pasta dish were large portions, which was good. - Meatballs were horrible - The dinning room itself was ok, ceiling a little high so it loses the cozy feel. I gave them 3-stars only because they seemed to try, but just failed. Hopefully they read this and fix their processes. read more

Housed in a historical building located in the heart of downtown Brooklin, it is a family friendly, but if you're looking for a more 'adult dining experience, the second floor of this establishment might be what you're looking for....or you can just relax on the patio. The menu made me very frustrated. This is one of those places that you can't decide because everything looked SO good. I was torn, so I asked our gracious server what she thought. The Apollo was the final decision, rose sauce, chicken, roasted red peppers...what more could you want?! My group, who had been there many times before, had no problems with their selections, Primavera and Pescatora. I was in complete shock at how fast our food arrived. Less than 15 minutes! We had barely finished our warm, crusty rolls when our food came. My dad is Mr. Personality and seeing how staff handle his shenanigans is always good entertainment. All of the staff, from the host to our server to the bartender, were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was happy to see they would joke around with us, while remaining professional. I liked that the server didn't abandon us, but didn't bug us every 5 minutes either. I can't pass up dessert, no matter how grateful I am that I wore stretchy pants. When I saw crème brulee, I was sold. Everyone else had a soft spot for cheesecake. I'm rather particular about my crème brulee, as you've seen in previous reviews. I was not disappointed. Drove by, turned around, and came back for lunch on the deck patio. So glad we did! The outdoor area is huge compared to most and the warm and inviting inside ambience beckons for a return visit soon. Lunch was wonderful. This is a gourmet pizza lovers oasis with toppings such as feta, artichoke, smoked salmon and capers, and red, white or BBQ sauce. We started with salads - one Caesar and one Insalata Mista (amazing presentation!) that were served with warm sourdough rolls. That was followed by a whole wheat, thin crust, Quattro pizza (artichokes, black olives, portobello and capers in lieu of the prosciutto). By the end the two of us were stuffed but very happy. Only negatives were a bit slow on the service and the washrooms, while very large and modern were missing a regular clean up check. Usually I LOVE eating and supporting Corrados. I think it's absolutely delicious. But the last 2 times I picked up my favourite dish, Genovese pasta, it's been unbearably oily. When I used to order, it was just the delicious white sauce and done to perfection. Now, nothing but OIL. Like my pasta is floating in it. I couldn't finish it the last couple time. Overall 3.5 stars. We came for lunch on a Saturday. We were the first customers of the day, so everything we ordered was freshly made to order, including the coffee :-). We ordered All Salmone pizza ($14) and a half pasta on cream sauce plus squash soup ($13) that was a lunch special item. The pizza was really fresh, and the crust was thin. There was sufficient toppings (see picture). I really liked how the saltiness of the capers contrasted with the sweetness of the dough. They used good cheese. The squash soup was creamy, and surprisingly, the creamy pasta sauce was even creamier. Considered yourself forewarned. The pasta was delicious with lots of meat chucks. We ordered creme brule for dessert ($7). The portion was big and should be considered a shared dessert. The services was very attentive and friendly. The interior decor style is Canadian comtemporary, warm and pleasing. The tables are spaced out enough to have an intimate conversation. This is a nice upscale casual and, considering the environment and service, reasonably priced restaurant. read more

This is my fourth visit in the past three years to Corrado's, and the quality of food has stayed at a consistent 'meh.' This past visit was the most underwhelming of all the visits. It had been a year since the family and I went to Corrado's and we thought it would be nice to meet up there as it is about half way between houses. I had one of the pizzas and the family each had some of the different pastas. We had ordered garlic bread as an appetizer which had taken 25 minutes to bring out to our table. At the same time they provided us with some warm bread, but no olive oil or balsamic to go along with it as I saw on some tables, and like we've had in the past. I would have asked the waitress for some, but it was clear that they were under staffed because she was whipping around the restaurant so quickly we couldn't get her attention. It had taken an additional 30 minutes to get our main courses. As for the quality of the food, the pizza toppings were lovely, but the crust was chewy and thick, as though the dough had been overworked. I was also able to taste each of my family's pasta dishes (four different pastas overall), and each of them had the same issue. The pasta clearly tasted like it was made from dried pasta, rather than fresh (I'm not sure if the pasta is advertised to be as such, but if you are suppose to be authentic Italian, making the pasta from scratch would be a nice touch and not difficult to do). A couple of the pasta dishes were slightly under al dante, so they were undercooked, hard and chewy. In addition, each of the pasta dishes seemed to be under seasoned, no salt or pepper added before leaving the kitchen. The dishes were therefore bland. Someone in the kitchen should be conducting some sort of quality control and tasting the food to check if it needs seasoning before it is served to guests, that's just restaurant 1O1. Another way I judge a restaurant is how clean their washrooms are kept, because if the bathrooms are cleaned and kept up, so are the kitchens (in my opinion anyway). In the two and a half hours we spent in the restaurant, I visited the restroom three times. On the first visit one of the stalls had urine on the floor and on the seat with a wad of toilet paper sitting in the bowl. By the third visit to the restroom (about 2 hours later) the toilets had only gotten worse, as both toilets were now covered and surrounded by urine. To top it off the paper towel dispenser was empty. I don't think two hours should go by that a staff member doesn't check on the quality of the washrooms to keep them pristine and stocked. I think the family will be finding somewhere else to have family get togethers. read more

I ordered a dinner to be picked up on Mother's Day. The order was given the day before. Arrived, near 5 as I was supposed to and had to wait 4 freakin hours for my food. If a restaurant cannot prepared a meal within 4 hours of schedule, given a days notice, they deserve to go bankrupt! read more

Good food and good service. If you are looking for comfort Italian food a little on the heavy side (not that that's a bad thing) check this place out. I've been a few times and I will tell you the bar staff is a bit inconsistent. For example, not having sparkling wine available one evening. More recently, I ordered a vodka martini before my meal and another afterwards and there was BARLEY an ounce of total liquid in each. Plus each time, they were served in different style glasses. The entrees are good and large!!! Keep that in mind as you may want to pass on the apps or dessert. I do find that sometimes the dishes are over salted. My BF had the lasagna tonight and it was waaaaay too salty for me. I know this all sounds negative but it is a good place but like I said, a bit inconsistent. read more

Read great reviews and came for dinner with my wife last week. Really nice place interior is well done and thought out well. Menu looked great I wanted to try a pizza and a pasta so I got the pizza with white sauce, prosciutto, and arugula the name escapes me at the moment but it was DELICIOUS. My wife ordered the tortellini, she's a tortellini buff and said it was the best she's ever had I thought it was very good too and the portion size was great value in my opinion. Overall we had a great experience we recently moved out to Oshawa and this is now the only restaurant nearby my wife wants to go to, well be back and I look forward to trying other pastas and the patio once weather allows. We came here with a largeish group to celebrate a few birthdays. My in-laws have raved about Corrado's forever so it was time for me to try it out. We came in at about 6 on a weekend (we had a reservation) and while it was quiet when we arrived, it very quickly filled up to capacity. On a recommendation, I got one of their pizzas as most of the family raved about them being delicious. Unfortunately, the wait was substantial for our food, whether that was because we were a large party of 9 or because they were busy, I'm not sure. It was a bit disappointing to watch all kinds of delicious food coming out of the kitchen going elsewhere though! It also took a while for my mother-in-law's pasta dish to come out; all the rest of us had been served and she was the last person without a dish for a few minutes. I do have to say that everything was salty as another reviewer mentioned. It took away from the dishes as a whole unfortunately. I'm sure we'll be back but I think this place is way overrated for what it is. The food was good but it wasn't as good as everyone is saying. read more

Normally don't write reviews but after talking with many others in the Durham area and hearing that they have also had bad experiences, I thought that I should warn others. We felt that the service was terrible. We had a total of 8 adults and one toddler at our table. All of the adults were served (not quickly but I'd say after 35 min). My two year old was served last and after an hour. My husband and I were very angry and asked to speak to the manager. The manager did nothing about the issue. Have a weak apology and nothing else. Safe to say, our night was ruined. Never going back. Especially after my friend said that her pasta from there contained rotten mussels. Avoid if you can. read more

My wife & I were trying to organize a night out with some friends, & we ended up at Corrado's. None of us had ever eaten there before, & I was excited to try them out. Our party arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday (although my wife & I were late), & we were lucky enough to find a parking spot in the small private lot behind the restaurant, although many people have to park on the street. We walked into the restaurant, & the place was packed, which reassures you that the food is good, & that they have no trouble getting people to come back. Since they don't take reservations, we waited just over an hour for our table, because we requested to sit upstairs in the "adults only" dining room. So we grabbed a couple of tables in the bar area & got some drinks & appetizers while we waited. We ordered the spinach & artichoke dip & an antipasto platter to share, & both items were beautifully plated & very good. Once our table upstairs was ready, we settled up our tab at the bar & adjourned upstairs to a very quaint, tastefully decorated, small dining area. Our server, Diana, was very friendly & helpful with menu selections for some people who asked for recommendations. I opted for the Fettucine Alfredo, which is my favourite pasta dish, with sausage added as an extra. My wife selected the Penne Piemontese, which has prosciutto, portobello mushrooms, asparagus & sun-dried tomatoes in a gorgonzola cream sauce. The wait time was standard, & we all had another drink while we waited. When the food arrived, every dish looked exquisite, & we all dug in heartily. Usually when I order pasta at other restaurants, it's very warm, but not quite hot. Not so at Corrado's - every pasta dish was piping hot. My fettucine was cooked perfectly, & their cream sauce was excellent. The sausage I added was spiced just right, adding a nice compliment to the smooth creaminess of the Alfredo. My wife's pasta was cooked perfectly as well, & while it was satisfyingly rich, it wasn't overly heavy, which is a fine line when you're dealing with cream sauces. I was very full after the appetizers & pasta, & I'm not normally a dessert person, but I just couldn't leave without trying their "Dream Bomba", which was peanut butter gelato, covered with a chocolate shell, then drizzled with chocolate sauce & caramel. Despite the fact that I was absolutely stuffed, I ate every morsel of the Bomba & would do it again in a heartbeat. It was absolutely delicious, & something different that you don't see on a standard dessert menu. The bill came, & I was pleasantly surprised to see that we hadn't even cracked the $50 mark. So not counting the apps & drinks we had downstairs in the bar, our two meals (with sausage added to mine), my beer, & the dessert came to $48.93.
