Called one week later asked if he was interested in doing the job. "Let me know if you are interested or i will move on to another vendor." He confirmed his interest and said give him one week. Check out the pictures! You can see the results of the quoted $6,500 - $7,500 window installation job on a small house. First, the job was extremely late, which delayed project construction for several weeks. After promises to provide custom sized windows they went to my rental and put in standard sized windows with pieces of wood around the window frame. The wood was uneven, not flush, and different sizes. They also badly damaged some of the stucco and existing wood frames. The inside was no better. When I told the owner that the windows were not satisfactorily completed and I wasn't going to pay $7,000, he was rude, belligerent, and extremely condescending, insisting that since we were painting the house it shouldn't be an issue as they just needed paint around the window frames. Even after he saw the pictures and was obviously embarrassed he continued to be rude. Then, recently when a family member (same last name) unknowingly called to look for a quote the owner's snotty and obnoxious daughter who works in the office told her that they refused to do business with me- as if I was the problem! I still paid $5,000 for the windows AND it cost me a lot of extra money I didn't have to fix the windows, stucco, and wood frames....but they refuse to do business with me!!!!!????? They are lucky that I didn't have the resources to sue them. I would have won. Pictures speak for themselves... **reply to Terry- I literally laughed out loud when I met your response. I wouldn't let you touch any of my assets, and you know you do shoddy work, but whatever helps you sleep at night. Unfortunately your business comes up when one googles "corona" and "glass." Our Business window was broken by a vandal from the street and had to get it replaced. I called multiple locations that were trying to charge us an arm and a leg for a window replacement. Today, I went to Corona Glass to replace broken glass in a seventy year old picture frame. The picture had significant sentimental value to my wife. The young lady in the office was friendly, concerned and careful. She removed the picture from the frame and took it into the shop area. A short time later she returned with the glass replaced. I went in on Monday morning, very pleasant conversation. Showed him a picture of the door i needed to replace glass in. He said OK i will call you tomorrow and come take a look at it. I knew that i would never see him again. a experienced company could look at my picture and say: we can do it and will be $XXX and I need to come and measure the glass, OR if he did not want the job all you have to do is say we are booked for almost 2 months. most people would go away with no hard feeling. If I could give this company a negative ZERO review I would. We had them scheduled to come out to give an estimate and they show up when NO one was home two day early and left their card at our door. I called them back at least 20 times over the last 7 weeks trying to reach them to reschedule. The voice mail said the were closed for one of the weeks out of the 7 weeks I tried calling. I left serval message over the last serval weeks and NO one called me back. Today was going to be my last attempted before moving on to a new company. Today I call once No answer again, I was starting to think they went out of business. Called one more FIANLLY time. The office manager answered so I explained everything nicely and calmly. She did not care, she did not apologize, she just started yelling at me. She said "Let me tell you how it is and let me tell you the facts." Wow who talks to a customer like this?? I asked her name and she said she was the office managed and refused to give me her name. I asked if she was the owner and she said "NO" She would not let me speak to her boss. DO NOT waste your time with this company. They are less expensive then the other local glass company but it's not worth the savings or headache. Response to Terry @ Corona Glass Dear Terry, You obviously were not present at time of my conversation with your (office manager) or you simply are the person I spoke with on the phone who does not know how to engage with customer. I read your other reviews from customers who had similar complaints. Either you clearly did not read my full review and or hear a word I said on the phone and just reacted without fully hearing me! If you did listen, I did leave several voicemails and I did not receive a call back. I was kindly expressing to your "office manager" my concern and she or you immediately went into defense mode without a care or an apology and was just RUDE to me. Instead of simply saying "I am sorry Miss, sometimes I get backed up with phone calls, I am the only one in the office, please let me earn your business and get someone out for an estimate as soon as possible". But unfortunately, it went they was I described and she did not handle this way. Terry, see as business you should care if there is, (1 a problem with your phone system) or (2 your "office manager" is not returning phone calls to potential customers with high volume of business for Corona Glass to earn or even smaller jobs that always have the potential of giving Corona Glass larger jobs in the future because of your customer care being outstanding.) However, you are small family owned company and clearly have no customers appreciation. Lastly, let me remind you it is the customer who choses whom to do business with. I chose not to do business with Corona Glass and I am sure other customers who read our conversation and Corona Glass other 1 star reviews may fell the same way. They say their hours are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday, but apparently they close up at 3:30 most days according to the tenant next door. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! 1. Had to play phone tag for 3 days, as no one answered the phone. 2. Was finally told the day and window of time for install. They called me at 9:45 told me 20 to 30 minutes. 45 minutes later I called to find status as I had a busy schedule that day. They said he'll be there any minute. 25 minutes later nothing, I called again. They said they would try to find him and call me back, they did not. 30 minutes later I call and am upset we are waiting in a vacant house being sold and no one is telling us what is going on. #. The girl who answered the phone told me to stop yelling at her, when SHE was exhibiting all the hysteria, Saying we can't find him! We don't know where he is! I apologized, however, it wasn't good enough she keep being a B#@ch. They guy finally showed installed the window in exactly 20 minutes. The B#@ch calls me back and said he was there at the property that's why we couldn't reach him!! I called BS on her as we could definitely tell when he arrived and why would I call 3 times if he was already there??? She proceeded to tell me it takes 30 minutes to install a window and I told her he was there for 20 minutes from the time on my phone. She just kept screaming at me it takes 30 minutes!!! My son had his 6th birthday party this weekend. After the smoke cleared, we realized his window in his bedroom was broken. Sent an email last night. They called this morning and we arranged a time window. They called several times to narrow down the time as they were completing other jobs.I explained I had get my kids around the time he was arriving, she said they'd work with that. I came home as Terry pulled up. The kids gave him hugs, he pulled out the window and replaced it in less than 20 minutes. I actually called 4 other glass companies when my dog broke my double pane window when we had thunder. I wasn't really searching for estimates I just wanted it fixed since it was super dangerous. One company was a no show and one didn't call me back at all. So I was so happy when corona glass came out when they said they would and always returned a phone call when I called. They came out to measure and a couple days my window looks brand new again. Added bonus on the phone they asked me how my dog was which he is fine and barely got a scratch on him braking the window and they were so sweet and loving towards him when they came.
