The pick-up costs increased with every pick up with new service charges added each month and paying $175.00 per month for one bag of shredding pick-up is not longer possible for me. I contacted them on 12/11/25 to cancel my service as I was going to find another shredding option. After being on the phone for almost an hour and being transferred to two different people who wanted a description of why I was cancelling, I was told they would create a ticket and someone would be reaching out to me regarding my request. I was never contacted. I called them again on 1/9/26 as my account is still showing active. I was told that the last request wasn't entered by their office correctly and they would submit a new request to have my account cancelled. It is insanity that not only do they not provide an option to cancel on their website (the same website where I signed up and paid my monthly invoices) but you can't cancel by phone. My negative review is not for the pick-up drivers but stictly for my dissatisfaction with the Stericycle corporation and customer service.

Moreover, his packaging has survived global shipping because he is so careful and competent. Todays shipment was a 130 pound subwoofer. Protecting the dynamic driver required making an inner sleeve to exactly fit the curved contours. A hot glue gun was used to bind high density materials to the required dimensions. Beware, they may tell you they have had no rate increases, but that is because they have just created a slew of other new charges to their bill that were not there 12 months ago...... They have introduced a 'Transportation Zone" fee as well as a 'Fuel Surcharge' (along with the 'Paper Recycling' fee and the original 'Console Fee') If they just had better management perhaps they wouldn't need so many fees. As an example, the title company next door to us uses their services, but Iron Mountain doesn't pick both at the same time. They will drive the 1/2 hour trip on 2 separate occasions: one to pick up the neighbors 50' away and then come back a day or so later to pick mine up. If you just look at their website you'll find a confusing mess... the MO transcends the entire organization. Crappy company run by crappy managers. Do yourself a favor like I did: go spend $500 on a good shredder and save your time (and money).

After sending an e-mail requesting all services canceled I received an e-mail explaining that they again came after hours. If you'd like to get your paper shredded try somewhere else like Shred-It because all you're going to get from Iron Mountain is excuses like downed phone lines and "attempted delivery" after hours. At his point after providing payment information, I still can not get them to commit to a day and time. When I provide days and times that work for our business, I eventually get a response with a time that will not work for us. When you ask a question, you get a bunch of crap about how we are valued customers. They give a lot of "fluff" in their responses but no substance. Everything you ask for is met with a "No - but you are a really valued customer!!" Do not use them - pay a little extra!
