I get that transitions cause hiccups, and I tried not to overreact. But it's been four or five months of oversized bills and calls to the same reps I've always dealt with, begging them to fix this mess. After the first bad bill I was told it was handled and wouldn't happen again. It kept happening, every month, and getting it "fixed" meant hours of calling and emailing into a void of unanswered voicemails and ignored messages, week after week, month after month, for nothing. I finally got them to remove my bin since I'm trying to end the relationship entirely, but I've been fed one story after another, none of which panned out. The current one: they can't stop billing me until their "retention team" calls, which requires a letter from me stating I want to cancel, after which I'd hear from them within three weeks. That was months ago. Silence. Meanwhile the bills keep arriving at fifteen times what I agreed to, and I keep having to dispute them. It's exhausting. When retention finally calls, they're getting language raw enough to make the crew of the Abraham Lincoln blush, and the only thing they'll retain is the trauma of that phone call. I wish Yelp would permit negative 5 Star reviews. To whoever's reading this: save yourself the headache and find another provider. Even in a world where everything feels transactional, this is a genuinely appalling case, and it's a shame, because the old owners were lovely people. This is what happens when the Mom and Pops get swallowed by giants. And we all know how that ended for Goliath. Bam.

I called Stericycle five times over the next few months trying to figure out why I was in collections and no one could tell me why -they just kept telling me that they would call me back- They never called back and I had to keep calling them. Today 4/23/2026 I finally received an answer. They had billed incorrectly and sent a new bill with a breakdown that was incorrect. This took a lot of my time. I will never do business with them again and I do not recommend them as a business.

Moreover, his packaging has survived global shipping because he is so careful and competent. Todays shipment was a 130 pound subwoofer. Protecting the dynamic driver required making an inner sleeve to exactly fit the curved contours. A hot glue gun was used to bind high density materials to the required dimensions. They have introduced a 'Transportation Zone" fee as well as a 'Fuel Surcharge' (along with the 'Paper Recycling' fee and the original 'Console Fee') If they just had better management perhaps they wouldn't need so many fees. As an example, the title company next door to us uses their services, but Iron Mountain doesn't pick both at the same time. They will drive the 1/2 hour trip on 2 separate occasions: one to pick up the neighbors 50' away and then come back a day or so later to pick mine up. If you just look at their website you'll find a confusing mess... the MO transcends the entire organization. Crappy company run by crappy managers. Do yourself a favor like I did: go spend $500 on a good shredder and save your time (and money).

They were again, not dropped off. I sent an e-mail before leaving work that day, no response this morning. After sending an e-mail requesting all services canceled I received an e-mail explaining that they again came after hours. If you'd like to get your paper shredded try somewhere else like Shred-It because all you're going to get from Iron Mountain is excuses like downed phone lines and "attempted delivery" after hours. At his point after providing payment information, I still can not get them to commit to a day and time. When I provide days and times that work for our business, I eventually get a response with a time that will not work for us. When you ask a question, you get a bunch of crap about how we are valued customers. They give a lot of "fluff" in their responses but no substance. Everything you ask for is met with a "No - but you are a really valued customer!!" Do not use them - pay a little extra!
