I'm writing this review to share my very pleasant experience with this company. As a business owner myself, I'm big on customer service, and I pay attention to the small things a company does to properly take care of its customers. From the person who initially signed me up (Linda) for the pickup shredding service, to the person who prepared the contract (Xochilt) and handled the billing, to the scheduling team (Roger) who arranged the pickup, and finally the cool and friendly driver (JG) who came to pick up my boxes for shredding -- every step of the process was handled professionally and smoothly. This was especially noticeable because I had a horrible experience with their competitor, Shred-It. With Corodata, the experience was completely different -- pleasant, transparent, efficient, and with an above-and-beyond attitude to accommodate my scheduling restrictions. Ironically, even though their service felt worth much more, I actually paid less than I would have with Shred-It. Don't waste your time with other companies. As a Medical Device manufacturing company operating in a highly regulated industry, we depend on timely, accurate service--especially during audits--and unfortunately, we had experienced delays with next-day and rush orders. However, I'm updating my review because the same day I posted it, I was contacted directly by Jose, the customer service manager at Coro-Data. He was incredibly professional, kind, and transparent. He explained that there was a misconfiguration on how our account was set up in their system, which had been contributing to the delivery issues. That problem has since been corrected. The very next day, the team came out with the box we had requested and fully resolved the issue. The responsiveness and accountability shown by Jose and his team are truly appreciated. It's clear that they took my feedback seriously and acted quickly to make things right. I'm raising my rating to 5 stars based on how well the situation was handled. As a manager myself, I appreciate the honesty and the follow through that Jose demonstrated. Coro-Data is lucky to have someone with this mindset on their management team. We are a new customer with Corodata. I am writing as we have found their service to be spectacular. They are extremely organized, highly communicative, objective focused and customer centered. We need service on a rush basis, they responded quickly, had a well organized onboarding process. We had a hiccup during the onboarding and initial pick-up, which was due to an error on or end. They were gracious about the matter. In correcting the error, I reached to their office for one person, who was not available. But I was immediately transferred to someone else who took ownership of the entire situation and bird-dogged it to its successful completion. Found this facility off a quick search on Google and luckily it was near my house. I wanted to get a head start on my spring cleaning and had a bunch of documents that I needed to securely dispose of. I was happy to learn that they accepted walk ins. I arrived at their location and the receptionist ( I believe Xochilt was her name) was very pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend this place as they also offer storage of documents and media. read more

Oh no, more surprise charges. instead of 9.70 to destroy per carton they tacked on enough charges to equal 22.5 per carton to destroy. unreal. Yes disputing this. But every time they touch my records they have added surprise charges. a self storage would of been cheaper. but even if I did transfer/pick up the rest of my records it would cost me $5.20 carton retrieval, 2.4 dock fee per carton, and another 8 for permanent removal per carton from their system. I still have 64 cartons left. read more

I am a single time user. When I searched online they were the first company to contact me, and that would be the only time they contacted me. I arranged for a bin drop off. They did not arrive on the day it was scheduled, no phone call, no email no notice. When I contacted them I was told the truck broke down. OK things happen but a phone call would have been nice. Now the bins that eventually got dropped have been sitting in our warehouse for over two weeks. I have been waiting for two days for pick up, have called to be told again that our ticket was dropped and they didn't have anyone in the area and would be notified first thing in the morning as a window of time when they would arrive to pick up. No phone call, no email, no customer service and bins are still waiting for pick up. BUT they request payment up front because obviously they do not provide the customer service and probably have problems collecting as their service is horrible . Will call again today for more run around BS. read more

We scheduled services on 12/5/23 and received pickup confirmation for 12/7/23! On 12/7/23 they called to say they were too busy and needed to reschedule for 12/14/23. After another no show I called and they were to busy and needed to reschedule again! We will find a more reliable service! read more

Website is down, cannot access any online services - Not sure what is happening, terrible customer service

If you are considering using Corodata, save yourself from a long frustrating and infuriating experience. We used Corodata services for outside storage of our projects records for over 12 years. Sadly, we had to close our business due to the pandemic, so we asked Corodata for the cost to destroy 80% of our boxes and deliver the remaining boxes to our house. It took 3 months, 6 different people, 8 emails and countless phone calls to get the estimate for both services and finally get the boxes delivered to us. Corodata's price to destroy documents is not only outrageously high, but if you attempt to get your boxes so you can shred the documents yourself or use another company, they jack up the price so the charge to pick up the boxes is even higher than to have them shred the documents. Not only do they charge you for the extra months of storage because of the negligence, but they charged for next day delivery, and on the day of the delivery, they reschedule and brought the boxes 3 days later. If it couldn't get worse, they would not give me the estimated time of delivery until the delivery day. Of course no one called, when I finally got a hold of someone live, it was noon, and they said the truck would arrive between 1 and 4pm. Basically, I spent the entire day waiting for their truck to deliver the boxes. When I spoke with customer service to tell them that no one had called me as they said they would to give me the ETA, the dispatcher had the audacity to say I would be very glad to no longer be a customer. Yes, indeed, it is a relief not to have to deal with companies like Corodata that do not respect nor know how to treat customers. read more

In case you don't want to read a lengthy review let me start by saying- this is a stand up company and I would recommend them to anyone, any day. My company had a literal emergency situations due to the recent fires in California. It escalated from "we need to get things moved this week" to "everything needs to be moved RIGHT NOW." Jason and the Corodata team went above and beyond to help us. While they do pickups in our area, they don't usually pick up on Thursdays. As soon as I told them what was going on they immediately began looking at re-routing trucks to assist with our evacuation. They also fast tracked the application and stayed in touch with me as I coordinated it on my end to ensure they were ready to go as soon as I gave them the "go." Jason was on-call with me all day and after hours as I fielded questions from the rest of our team. In the end, Corodata sent the facilities manager to pick up our boxes because they were worried (rightly so!) that the estimate on how much stuff we had was low and they wanted to ensure all of it was evacuated safely. I initially received a cold call from Robin in the sales department and set up an appointment with her about 3 years ago. She was very pleasant and not overly pushy but very transparent and straight forward. (Very refreshing!) After hearing that our storage price would be a third of what we were paying at Iron Mountain, I decided to give Corodata a try. It took over a year to discontinue our service with Iron Mountain which was the real nightmare of my experience. Since making the switch, my experience has been nothing short of excellent every single encounter that I have had with them. I want to say that Michelle D, the operations manager, has been the most customer service driven person I have ever had contact with. She has bent over backwards to all of our requests and keeping our files confidential. I would recommend to anyone looking for a storage facility to make the switch. If you need a professional, organized, communication and customer service oriented storage provider then I suggest striking this company off your list. I could go into countless details chronicling the sub-standard experience I have had with Corodata since the day after they picked up our boxes of documents but let me just document a few and share a photo of what the new vendor we chose to take over the account has had to deal with. The inventory that was done by the Corodata staff was incomplete and incomprehensible. I would realistically say that only 20% of the boxes were inventoried in a manner that would actually allow me to know what is where. I tried numerous times to get them to "get it right" by going over the details of what I think was straightforward: Job #, Job Name, Contents as written on each box that was sent to them. It was not rocket-science by any means. Eventually they just gave up because their systems "don't allow them to create the inventory using the preferred labeling." Countless calls were made to Corodata initially during which they promised to get it worked out. That did not happen. Then they just stopped returning calls. At that point I began researching other document storage companies and found one. It took months, literally, for Corodata to acknowledge that we were switching vendors and the process to have all our boxes picked up was not easy but I and the new vendor were up to the challenge because there was no other recourse to get our inventory correct. We were required to pay their fees up front before they would release our boxes to the new vendor. Fine, we paid them. See the pictures posted of how they put our boxes of documents out for us to to pick up. They literally tossed them out. I assure you they did not pick them up from us in this condition. I think I may take them to small claims court for the fees they charged us and the time lost in dealing with them. read more
