Had a new boiler installed on Dec 24 for 20k...ouch. the tech was great but they kept hounding me to leave an extended review, I didn't. Aug 1 2025 had to have boiler serviced as it wouldn't make hot water unless furnace was running. Same good tech came out and discovered the issue was a small aquastat (?) Device that wasn't replaced along with the new boiler; ok that makes sense. The small meager uncomplicated part cost me 676 bucks for a part no bigger than a cell phone. Again I gave the tech 5 stars but again they called and began trying to get a better "customer review". Told them the cost was insane and it seems like a case of fraud as I never got a detailed receipt outlining the parts etc. I'm thinking of collecting info and retaining a lawyer to get to the bottom of this. The tech was a decent knowledgeable friendly guy, to bad cornerstone isn't. No wonder they get 3 stars on yelp. read more

Horrible communication . Drove over a half hour to meet a rep at specific time twice and they did not show up when promised at the property . Definitely would not recommend complete waste of time read more

I had them come out to our home to quote and service our gutters. I had 3 quotes all around $325. Cornerstone quoted me $1280. i don't need to say anything else about their prices! read more

I got a phone call from Cornerstone Services yesterday about offering a "free" post winter inspection of all the plumbing in my house. Their argument was that as the weather warms up, now is time that you will find out if you have internal/external plumbing issues. That logic is a bit flawed because we have already had a number of above freezing days, and it does not take long for damaged pipes to present themselves. But that was NOT the issue. The issue was that they were using an AI bot to make the call....and a very good one at that. If you refused the inspection, the bot became just a bit too pushy in its counter argument (and here I paraphrase): "Do you mean to tell me that you are 100% confident you have no plumbing issues!!!!" So then when you offer a valid reason it got condescending (again paraphrasing): "Well dear, it looks like I just caught you at a bad time. Can I call back later?" Honestly, it went so far as to infer that I was grumpy because maybe they woke me up from a nap. I was neither grumpy nor sleeping at the time of the call. Now, what made me think it was an AI bot, is that repeated those catch phrases exactly the same way (both in tone and words) three separate times as I kept trying to politely get them to go away. I caught on after the second repeat but went one more round just to verify. I then hung up. So you have to ask yourself what type of company is Cornerstone Services that would program their AI bot to be both pushy and condescending? I have no issue with the bot, but you really missed the mark in how you were using it because it speaks very poorly about what you think of your potential customers. read more

We had an electrical issue which was resolved quickly and expertly. Paul was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable! This was our second experience with Cornerstone, and we're hooked! read more

Went on their website last night to see if there was an appointment available for a simple plumbing fix. There were two slots for today September 27, one for 7 AM to 10 AM and another from 1 PM to 4 PM. I selected and confirmed the one for 1 PM to 4 PM. I asked my husband if he received any information from them because it was going to his email address and his phone number, he had not heard from them at all. I called cornerstone directly and was told that they didn't have anything for today and that they would have to charge us 300 bucks instead of the $59 that I had actually scheduled for. If you want somebody that's flaky, go to this company, otherwise go somewhere else. I have a life to live, and I planned around this appointment and they screwed us over. Additionally, my husband received no such call at 8 whatever a.m. this morning, nor did he receive a confirmation email. I went on their website again because I thought I was crazy when it said confirm, so I confirmed another one for Monday, September 30 for 7am to 10am, and we still haven't received an email from them, nothing in the junk, spam, nada. If an appt is made via your website, and it's not guaranteed, say that and don't mislead people. I went to attempt to schedule The 10 AM to 1 PM slot and what do you know, the 7 AM to 10 AM one that I just booked is gone. So clearly it was finalized and confirmed. I am glad we did not renew our membership. Get it together, people. Also, don't talk to your customers like they're morons. Not a good business practice. UPDATE: They called to let us know there was a cancellation and we were in the cancellation list lol. They came, George was awesome. An hour and a half and $866 later, the snake job was complete. You read that right, eight indeed and sixty six dollars. Jesus f'in Christ. read more

I paid cornerstone a $60.00 appointment fee for Larry the handyman to tell me that it would cost $1,500.00 to cut a square in an already existing door and install a dog door that I was to purchase and provide. I'm uncertain as to where all of these good reviews came from. They tried to take advantage of me. Never again, I would not recommend them. I hired someone else who did the job for $100.00. read more

I contacted this business in regards to a leak in my tub wall and clearly explained that the leak was in the wall around the grout and the tile . They scheduled an appointment and I changed my plans for the day and made sure I was available . When they arrived they sent a plumber instead of a handyman who clearly stated what do you want me to do about it . When I call them back they explained that I had said there was a leak . Well they will contact it through an online source and the online contact clearly stated what the problem was and had nothing to do with plumbing . I told them I had taken the day to make sure I was available and I wanted someone out here today . They stated they'll send somebody out on October 30th which is unacceptable . I do not recommend this company as they obviously don't listen and follow instructions and don't appear to be very organized read more

Best to get an estimate from other plumbers. I think I made the mistake of paying top dollar for a water heater replacement $3,200. On top of that, they now hound me with all kinds of upsells - like memberships, etc. read more

I originally called this place to get a quote but ended up cancelling bc I chose to go with other companies to give me estimates bc they did not charge me a fee to get on site. A woman called me from Cornerstone and asked me why I cancelled and I told her I was going to work with other companies who did not charge a fee to give me a quote. She lied and said they have a promo going where they are not charging the fee. I made an appointment and they still charged me after telling me it would not be a cost. Bait and switch, and I do not plan on working with a company like that read more

John requested a phone number to contact me which I gave him and never heard back from him. Went with someone else.

Scheduled 2 weeks in advance Took day out of work, planned a simple electric box installation. They called me the day before and asked to change my appt to 'now'. I could not accommodate and asked to keep my same appointment. I was told fine and 2 hrs later they called to cancel and reschedule. I had contractors coming in and working around this appointment. Horrible service, no explanation or understanding of the situation. Would not recommend or use this company for anything. read more

We had a plumbing issue, though not an emergency was still urgent. I called Cornerstone, and a plumber was here within a couple of hours. The cost of the work did not exceed the estimate. The plumber was cordial, professional and kept us informed on the work being done. I must say we have used Cornerstone before for electrical work. We highly recommend them. read more

if i could give cornerstone zero stars i would. not because of poor quality work but because last saturday, i needed and electrician for emergency work. i called, and called, and called. guess what? no answer for a company that suppose to work 7/24 service. luckily i found a licensed electrician from methuen who showed up, did the work and was very reasonable. if you need cornerstone in a pinch, don't waste your time. read more

We were looking to get our vents cleaned. One company came in and quoted us $1200. We thought it was a bit high so we called John. He came out in a timely manner and determined our vents were actually clean and didn't want to provide a service that was unnecessary just to make money. Shows you how professional this company is. Honest and knowledgeable in the field. We will be contacting Cornerstone in the future for any services we may require! read more

Very pleased with Cornerstone Electrical Services! They were very prompt in responding to my request for a quote. They responded, called and demonstrated excellent customer service! They were able to show up at my home promptly and checked the work out needed to be done and were much more reasonably priced both for the quote and for the actual installation. Then as a thank you, I received a $25 dollar off coupon in the mail for future work, which I do have coming! In February, I will be receiving a new light fixture that needs to be hung in my foyer to replace the one that is currently there. You can be sure that I will contact Cornerstone immediately upon receiving the new fixture and will have them do the work. Do not hesitate to contact them for any electrical work that you need!! Way over priced, was charged about $600 to change out 6 outlets and 2 light switches. Would not use Cornerstone again.

Less than a year ago, they put a water heater in my townhouse. my mother owns the property so she gave the go ahead on the replacement. Unfortunately she didn't check with me first. We were in Florida on vacation at the time. They charged my mother 3 times what it should've cost. I swore I'd never use them again. Then the water heater started leaking so I had to call them because they put it in. They told me it was not leaking. When they came, I had been having problems with the hot water in my shower not getting as hot as it used to. I mentioned it to the guy who came. He told me we needed to replace our pipes and quoted me $6000-10,000. I was shocked he would say that. I knew that's not what it was since I had researched it. It was the mixing valve. After he left, I had absolutely zero hot water. I called another plumbing who fixed it for under $500. The water heater that "doesn't leak" has water pouring out of the overflow pipe all the time. We obviously need to get that issue fixed since it's constantly pouring into our basement, even after we put a pan under the pipe. I do not want these people in my house ever again though so I will be looking for an honest plumber. It's sad to try to trick people into paying so much money for something not even needed. I am also disgusted about how they took advantage of my elderly mother!!! read more

Rick Gerbrands was simply excellent! He showed exceptional technical competence, as well as, solid customer relationship skills throughout the job. From the moment he arrived, he was focused on providing value and customer satisfaction. He not only fixed the laundry list of electrical issues, but he also took the time to explain what he was doing and why. This style gave me extreme confidence that his work would be done the right way, the first time. If Rick is an indication of technician caliber at Cornerstone, then I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. read more

Easy, fast estimate with same day completion! I needed a gfi outlet near my toilet after purchasing a bidet. I appreciate how Cornerstone sends a text to you letting you know the technician is on the way. Rick was not only very professional, but very personable as well! He was on time and completed the estimate/job same day at a very reasonable cost. My neighbors are always sharing 'vendor' info to help each other out, and Cornerstone is going on our list. Service matters to this company - you can tell by the reviews! read more

Excellent, prompt service! Very reasonably priced too...thank you!! Appreciate it and will be in touch for any more future work!!

We used Cornerstone Electrical Services to install outdoor lighting at our house. They installed path lighting, up-lighting for our house, and some spotlights for uplighting a small granite staircase in the front of our house and a tree. I would DEFINITELY highly recommend these electricians. They were second to none when it came to customer service. John spent a great deal of time going over what we wanted, recommended brands for lighting, and discussed our options. We didn't really discuss budget until the end, and everything that we wanted would be in our budget. We never did outdoor lighting before, so this was all new to us. We had two other quotes from other services, which were over-priced in our opinion. He was able to provide different options and show us what the best options for us would be. When it came time for the work to be done, I received multiple courtesy emails and phone calls to tell us exactly when they would be there to do the work. The day of install, the technicians called us 30 minutes before arrival to tell us they were on their way. They were on time, efficient, and the final charge was actually less than the initial estimate. What a shocking and pleasant surprise that was! The guys were professional, neat, and worked very fast. We could not have chosen a better service to do the work. Our house now looks like it could sell for millions (honestly, a total and complete transformation!!) and the path is safely lit up so our guests won't trip at night. A+ service and A+ price. Definitely call them if you are looking for work to be done. We'll certainly be using them again in the future if we need more work done. read more

We called this company to fix a wall outlet for our clothes dryer. $47 to just show up, $137 to do the job of REPLACING A FUSE! Home contractors are a bona fide RIPOFF! Their tech Bob was great, but they could've waived the $47 :( Ironically, the company owner is a Pastor part time... read more

We couldn't be more happy with the service from Bill of Cornerstone Electrical Services! We ran into an emergency on Friday night of the long July 4th holiday weekend. Their response was immediate. Our underground wires were damaged and we were without power. Temperatures were near 90 degrees. The repairs were extremely labor intensive and required coordinating with the electric company. Bill was hard working, professional and courteous throughout. Though it was a difficult and stressful time for us, he was reassuring and made it go smoothly. read more

Had a ceiling fan that stopped working, had couple of parts the company sent me to fix it. The rep was friendly and professional, installed the parts and had the fan working in about half an hour, seems fine. Price was very reasonable after $50 first time customer discount was applied. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the time range given to me was between 11 AM-2 PM. I got a call at 8:30 AM saying he was near the area, arrived at 9:15 AM. read more
