    Stay Away - 1 Star because I can't give zero Cornerstone installed my $13.5k porch in June of 2020. I became concerned about cracking between the cap and brick border after the winter of 2020. I called, texted and emailed asking for someone to look at my porch. Was given the run around for months by Brandon Wojt and others. They finally came out and admitted there was a problem, only after I wrote a bad review, and "fixed" it. Now here we are 4 1/2 years after install and my porch is literally falling in on itself. I have called and emailed but have gotten no response. That is their MO, get the money and run. I am tired of hounding them, so I am pursuing legal action. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM CORNERSTONE AT ALL COSTS!!!

    Overpriced, did not clean up after job, wanted us to sign a contract saying work was completed and we do not have any further recourse with them. Why? Most companies guarantee their work. They were to repair all around the home - nip/tuck joints and repair a weak cornerstone. Terrible workmanship mason repair of a cornerstone fell off, joints came loose or were found not even repaired. We called less then a month after they completed their work. I had exterior painters scheduled right behind them. I called Joel and Jerry. The owner, Joel, never called/texted back. The salesman and repair guy, Jerry, responded once and then ghosted me with no apology or concern to correct inferior work. I will be reporting their shady, overpriced, incompetent business to the Better Business Bureau. I implore all others who experienced their incompetence to do the same. If you've not used their services, don't walk away RUN! Save yourself money and headache.

    Avoid at all costs! While the work looked good at first (new chimney and front step), less than 6 months later, we had roofer over who mentioned that the chimney cap (which had been replaced in April with the rest of the chimney) was cracked. After numerous inquiries on their website and calls that went unanswered, I called the owner and got a call back from someone who said the would send a crew out to replace it. The "crew" of 1 person showed up late Sunday afternoon (dark), took one look at the chimney and said he couldn't do it by himself and would be back with more help later. He showed up a day or two later and got right to work. After taking off the cracked cap, he showed me pictures of what was under it. Under the crack in the cap were 2 wooden planks across the chimney, the rest was unsupported. He then proceeded to replace the cap, and the pictures look good, but who knows. In addition, ever since the first fix, I had been asking for them to put the appropriate metal cage cap on the flue (13x9) rather than the 13x13" cage that they had put on to keep out critters, but the message never got to anyone and the crew never came prepared. Subsequent calls to ask about the cage and any extension of the warranty on the new cap have gone unanswered. A cracked cap what was led to the damage to the chimney and its replacement in the first place. Hoping this review sparks some response.

    We contacted this company because they had A coupon and we needed tuck pointing. We talked to a few other companies and we didn't go with this company because they were the cheapest we went with this company because the woman that was the sales person acted as if she knew everything, that they were highly recommended, had great reviews on Better Business Bureau, and also had wonderful reviews online. They sent out two employees to do the job and they were nice but they did not do a decent job whatsoever. Grout was missing, grout was put on sloppy, things were not finished, and it just looked like crap. So we texted her and told her and all she would say was wait two weeks because the grout is going to dry darker. I wasn't worried about the color of the grout I was worried about the ugliness of the job and being done in a half butt way. We called her right away but she said to wait two weeks. Then after two weeks I contacted her and told her I was unhappy so she said to send her pictures and she would send someone out right away. I sent about 30 pictures with her response saying that she would get back with me and have someone come out right away. Many, many, many text messages later and many months later nobody came out to fix the problem. We paid for almost half of the job and decided we didn't want to pay for the other half because it was not finished so once they found out that we didn't wanna pay for the other half suddenly the company wants to come out and fix the problem seven months later. When they came out they just added more crap as you can see in the one photo where they slapped a whole bunch of white grout on the chimney which looks insane and where they just sprayed acid all over their work which I don't know what it was supposed to do but all it did was stain my doors, stain the concrete, and make the job look even worse. The kicker is that they are trying to tell us or should I say the company that we are supposed to pay through that we are happy and we told them we were satisfied and we are trying to get a free service from them. If we were trying to get a free service we would not have paid anything. Now they are trying to screw us by saying that we were happy with what they did Dash which never came out of my mouth at all and that we are just again trying to get a free service so now we have to deal with them because The credit company we used is taking their word which is just "the customer was very happy" which is totally untrue. They also did the same with me on the Better Business Bureau website where I posted all of my photos and made a complaint against them but since they came out quotations only after they didn't get paid the full amount" that we were happy and so now that case is closed as well. So if you want to deal with this company be ready to get little discounts if you leave them a five star review, a discount if you keep their sign on your lawn, and the crappyest work that will ever happen. It would be one thing if they actually kept their word and came back to fix the problem we originally complained about four months. It is obvious that they are the ones who are trying to get over because they didn't come and I have a lot of proof via text messages that were never returned they never came back to fix their crappy work with even crappy or work until it cost them some money. So watch your back with this company because you don't want to get duped like we were. My mother is a senior citizen and does not have money because she is on a fixed income and the thought that they would do that to her is just sickening. Pardon any grammatical errors as this was speech to text. I know I left a prior review but I felt necessary to update. Also if you want more reviews go to the non-recommended reviews that you can scroll down and see. Many of those are negative. There are some decent ones and that's great but go to the non-recommended reviews and you'll see even more reviews.

    Brittany was quick to set up the date to have my parents porch rebricked, as well as new steps and pad. My father even took down the railing we have for our disabled family member, so that way it was easier for the team to complete the job. A storm occurred during the job, so the team paused and said they would be back to fix and complete the work. The mortar ran due the the rain, which they stated they would acid wash (we had to do this ourselves later). Additionally, they said they would repour the cement pad, due to it being poured without any frame work (see photo). It looks as if I did it myself by how blotchy it is, as it's spilling Into the lawn. We cannot put back the railing for our handicapped family member due to the lack of edging. We also have a pile of bricks still left at our home because they never replaced/repaired the lower row of brick on the porch that is crumbling. I assuming this will cause structal damage in the future, which is why we had the porch done in the first place. We are incredibly disappointed with the botched job they did and very frustrated with the lack of communication and straight up lying that has happened once we complained. The team has not been back to complete the work, as promised by Brittany. She came to our home to take photos, as well as take back a large metal grate that they left behind in the middle of our front yard. She herself expressed disappointment and couldn't believe the work that was done. We have called various times after Brittany came out, and spoke to a gentleman (who I assume is Brittany's boss) and he stated someone will be out within the week or so. This has yet to occur and it's been over a month. Selling someone something is easy, it's the follow through and work being done that really matters. It's a shame that the company does not hold themself to a certain standard and fix their mistakes. The company does not respect their customers and will make false promises. Take your business elsewhere. Should the company contact us back and fix the work as promised, I will update the review accordingly.

One wrench in the project was that I had an invisible fence line that ran through multiple areas of excavation, and I knew there was no chance that line wasn't going to be cut. What really blew me away, was that Cristian went out and repaired the damage and the line works perfectly again; talk about above and beyond! A week later, the drainage system works perfectly, and my yard is shockingly dry considering the recent heavy rain. I highly recommend Hills Excavation for any complicated and muddy yard-related needs--they exceeded my expectations in every way and I'm glad I no longer feel like Shrek telling people to, "get out of my swamp!"

    I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by your company…read moreDetroit Concrete Leveling and the lack of resolution regarding my project. I hired your company on May 2nd for concrete leveling and caulking work. Since then, your crews have been to my home twice, and the work remains incomplete despite repeated assurances that these issues would be addressed. My project manager, Lawrence, has failed to properly manage this project. Aside from coming to my home to sell the job, he has never returned to inspect the work, review the damages, or ensure the project was completed as promised. Despite being notified immediately of the issues, he has not provided a resolution. The issues include: * Damage to my egress window well caused by your mudjacking crew, resulting in approximately $3,000 in repair costs that I will have to pay out of pocket. * Damage to my garden hose caused by your crew. They threw it on the ground! * Failed holes on the leveling work that was completed. * Poor-quality caulking work that was left incomplete. * Debris, materials, and a mess left behind by your crew. * A second service visit that still failed to complete the work, with the crew leaving without resolving the outstanding issues or having anyone from the home review the project. What is most concerning is the complete lack of project oversight. Lawrence has never come to inspect the workmanship, review the damage caused to my property, or verify that the work was completed correctly. At this point, I have paid for services that were not delivered as promised and have been left to deal with property damage and additional expenses caused by your company. I have been more than patient throughout this process. I hired Detroit Concrete Leveling expecting professional workmanship, accountability, and communication. Instead, I have received incomplete work, property damage, and little effort toward resolution. EDIT to reply to owners comment: It's important to note that multiple attempts were not made to rectify this issue, and seemingly my issues have and continue to be ignored. If this was the case, on visit #2 (June 15 2026) my caulking would have been completed, my failed holes filled, and the MESS left by your crew would have been cleaned. But no, after a 2nd visit i was left with all of the above not being completed. I now am expected to schedule a THIRD visit to my home, to complete a job that should've been done 7 weeks ago. A job that cost almost $3000 mind you. If this is something you would like to discuss this further - please contact me directly. Thank you

    These guys are the real deal!…read more I canvassed 8 companies my biggest factor was Customer Service and Craftsmanship.... I had higher and lower quotes but the above items were only checked by Concrete Pros! Working with Chris and Jesus was amazing! Both guys came onsite spoke to me and listened to everything I wanted and added their own ideas to, when we made our decision to go with them they came back out and finalized spray painting the areas to show the size. Chris was the main point of contact he answered all my text messages in amazing time never did I have to wait hours or days for a response. Jesus was the mastermind on the job site paying great attention to detail to everything he did and making sure I was 100% satisfied through and through! Once we agreed on price and layout I wasn't in a rush and whenever they could get me in then it was fine. After signing off on the contract and the deposit Chris was able to submit the permit and within 2 weeks I was scheduled. The dates and times were awesome they were on time and completed my job within 3 days. Their crew was hardworking individuals that never stopped! There was no trash left behind and made sure our yard was as clean as possible, they laid boards down for their trucks to go on the grass also, no matter what the grass has turned yellow because of the extreme heat and lack of sprinklers because of the cement install which was expected. Concrete Pros is a company that prides themselves on Quality over Quantity which makes us extremely happy.
