The had the heavy equipment to remove the old concrete quicky and put in the framework for my patio & driveway the first day. Next day for the city inspection. Third day they were here again @7am and poured the concert and finished in less than 6 hours. The last day they came back and removed the framework and cut expansion slicing in all my concrete every where so no slab was over 10 * 10 reducing the chance of it break or crack again. They even extended my area around the patio with their backhoe for me for use to install landscaping that we will have installed soon. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. The quality of work beyond the quality I was expecting and the price was fair to very good. They were on time and answered my question with friendly answers. They did first class work. They cleaned up their job site, were extremely hard working and if there were questions, they asked so that we were all on the same page. Jack was very quick to respond by email and text. Although he got jobs mixed up some times, with telling me a product could only be ordered by a pallet but it wasn't our job. Every time we talked we had to go over what bricks I wanted even though he had it written down. The part that didn't go so well, we were doing a relocation of a drainage pipe to the front from the back. We all agreed to where it needed to go to for the water to runoff properly. Our fault for not having it exactly specified in feet on the quote, lesson learned. Day of, we learn that he stated it can't go that far, they can't dig that much and could only go part way. That is exactly what I didn't want for water to drain to my driveway so in the winter it would ice.

The building was an unassuming brick number, with only hints of what they do on the outside, but inside, they truly have a lovely set up that showcased their offerings. We ended up getting quotes from several vendors, but ultimately decided to move forward with PMS because of all of the extra things they offered and the variety of their selection. From start to finish, my experience with PMS was professional yet quick. The day the crew came to our house, I was surprise to see that Parker was there to make sure the office and the work crew were on the same page. I was frankly amazed how quick they were able to clear our the posts from the old deck (we did the demo ourselves), move the sprinklers system (with very little damage), and graded the ground. Also, I cannot say enough about the crew they sent. I believe the foreman was Noe and over the 3 days they were at our house, they work from dawn to dusk, and were fast, yet meticulous, as they laid the pavers, while also cleaning up after themselves. Based on my experience, I kind of wish I had just used them for the entire backyard. If you can afford PMS, I highly recommend this company. One of few times where I had a contractor make big promises and actually deliver.

Craftsman Masonry worked on my chimney and touched up the mortar around my brick house. As other…read morereviewers have said, my general experience was that they were honest and hard working. The work was done on a hot August day. The weather prediction was that it was supposed to rain the next day. In spite of that, storms started popping up on the weather radar in the afternoon. The weather radar showed one of the storms tracking straight at my general area. At this point the last area to start working on was a window sill that would be opened up to the elements (in order to fix the surrounding mortar). I talked with the job supervisor several times about the approaching storm and my concerns about working on that window. He consistently told that it wasn't raining right now (he disregarded the weather radar that I showed him) and that the window sill wouldn't take long to do. When the weather radar showed that the storm was 30-45 minutes away, they still hadn't started to work on the window. Josh (sales) told me that it wasn't raining right now and that I would be charged for a return trip if I wanted to delay the window sill work. I felt like Josh also disregarded the weather radar. It wasn't until after that conversation that they started working on the window. Unfortunately they gouged the top of the slate window sill with their angle grinder, they chipped the front face of the slate window sill and a brick below the sill. The chaulking around the window sill was done on wet mortar so parts of it didn't adhere properly. I fixed the chaulk two days later. I can't fix the sill and brick problems. I feel that the last minute push to work on the window sill contributed to the mistakes I described. It would have been better if they had started the window sill earlier when I first started talking with the job supervisor about what I was seeing on the weather radar. Yes, it rained while they were working on the window.

The appointment was prompt, the breakdown of what was needed to bring our hearth into the 21st century was clear and concise, and we had a reasonable quote and a date of delivery by the time he headed out. The work itself, now finished, is stellar. He used the existing ceramic logs (which we really like) with a new, updated flame delivery system and even took the time to paint out the interior of the fireplace to create a "shadowbox" effect for the fire. Total time from start to finish was under two hours, and we're already on point to contact him for further repairs to the chimney and porch steps in the future. Definitely the type of contractor you hope to do business with: punctual, prompt with responses, painless to work with and a real pip of a personality.
