Made arrangements for someone to come out on Wednesday 11/05 at 5pm for a quote. At my request, they agreed to going out there on his own (without me being there) and said, "Sounds good ill get you typed up in my system and ill be out Wednesday around 5pm and once I havr everything typed up ill email the estimate over to the email you provided." On the morning of the 11/05, I sent a follow up message to confirm he was coming out for the quote. I received a message, "I got your message on fb yes we are still on for 5pm this afternoon." No one came out that day. The next morning I received a message from Amanda K. that stated, "Aaron gave you a call yesterday afternoon to confirm that you were at your new home. He didnt get an answer or call back and we dont come out unless we have a confirmation call. Would you like him to come out this afternoon?" I messaged back and said yes and that I had a confirmation text from yesterday, that he was informed we would not be there and he could go any time. I included a screenshot of the confirmation. Amanda then both texted me an apology and called me apologizing for the confusion and saying that she will send someone out that afternoon. At 4:32 pm that day, Amanda texted me and said "Aaron is about an hour away and will be calling." I texted back that I was out of work at 5:45 p.m. No response until yet another text from Amanda stating, "Aaron did call while he was at the house. A received no answer. I understand that you where at work. Sorry we were not able to provide you with a quote for our services. I hope you are able to find another company." Stunned, I messaged yet again and asked what on earth was happening and Amanda messaged that they are a "we are a small business and I have to keep a schedule in the afternoons as we only have limited daylight I could not have home wait until 5:45 for a phone call." What?? We already agreed to a written quote four days ago? Absolute lack of customer service - it must be nice to reach the level of success that you can treat potential clients who are planning to pay $8k+ for services so haphazardly. Zero communication and failure to follow through on what was agreed upon.

Every time we talked we had to go over what bricks I wanted even though he had it written down. The part that didn't go so well, we were doing a relocation of a drainage pipe to the front from the back. We all agreed to where it needed to go to for the water to runoff properly. He was attentive and seemed to understand my lawn cutting, trimming and edging needs, and at a reasonable weekly cutting fee....Until commissioning him for landscaping project of picking up and delivering blocks for yard project. That is when communication on what his fees would be were not clearly stated to customer. Nevertheless, customer paid in full three times of what was originally understood by customer from Alex what Alex was later asking. Hesitating to commission for him/his landscaping service for one more time, then had lawn cut one more time with sloppy trimming and cleanup. Asked when he would be trimming of tree and shrub as orignially requested and he never responded back. Customer contacted one last time and we both mutually agreed to no longer have him/Michigan Mow Master cut my lawns. This is a brand new startup business and Alex had a very old and runned down gas walk behind lawn mower along with an edger that sounded as if it was "dying". He did not have all of the appropriate and proper equipment as he stated he would bring on next run.When texting back and forth with Alex, he mentioned he would need to ask his wife first before he would commit to when lawn was going to be cut along with other work, as a matter of fact his wife came along with their young boy in the old rusty pick up truck on his lawn cutting runs. Mentioning this because his website looked and convey the illusion that he had dependable and capable lawn care equipment with dependable staff to do the job. Alex's website was very misleading. Although Alex was pleasant, he proved himself to be unreliable, undependable and untrustworthy. If you choose to use/contract him, be prepared to wait and beware and ask upfront what all costs are and know all aspects of what is to happen when you employ him. Hiring someone for grass cutting is not easy. Do your research and beware of the "rosy" reviews.
