It took me awhile to write this review but after seeing some of the comments I felt I should share my experience. I was experiencing lower back and neck pain and made my appointment based on the reviews seen here. Unfortunately, my experience is in the minority but very real. First off, I don't like feeling like I am at a used car lot but that is the experience I had . All I wanted was to get adjusted (I have been to chiropractors before) but it turned into a long appointment with xrays and a long sales pitch . I cannot remember the exact price but it was upwards to 500 dollars for a plan to help with my issues. It was awkward and Dr. Chad left the room so i " could think about it", I agreed to pay the amount he quoted and to his plan. After several visits and not feeling much difference I continued to show up for the adjustments anyway. However, after one of my visits with Dr. Chad I ended up with the most HORRIBLE lower back pain ever! It was so bad that I had a hard time walking and had to go to the doctor where she said it was probably due to the chiropractor and the adjustment. I ended up on pain meds to help with the pain. I ended up calling the office and explaining that I wanted the remainder of my money back (balance) and they said before that happened I needed to come in. It ended up being another awkward sales pitch where he offered for me to see someone else. No way! I wasted a lot of money and time there! read more

I have seen and got adjusted by all 3 doctors that work in this clinic regularly and also have never seen a chiropractor before. Before my care I was struggling with tons of back, neck, and leg pain. Being completely honest, since I started receiving care I have never felt better. Not only do they take care of you physically they take the extra step by taking care of you mentally. I do have from time to time some aches and pains but that's why I come in and get seen because I know they'll take the best care of me. I totally love Dr. Aki and the team at Cornerstone Community Chiropractic. I had migraines for 4+ days in a row and called around to find a chiropractor and no one had appointments. I lucked out abs was able to schedule a same day appointment to meet with Dr. Aki and get an x-ray to see what was happening with my body. I always look forward to going in to get an adjustment here. Every time I walk in, the staff is super friendly. It's my first experience with a chiropractor but even before my first adjustment, Dr. Mikey took her time to educate me on the process, what to expect, and what I need to work on. She even asked what some of my goals for getting these adjustments are I've been going once a week for a few weeks now and I'm definitely walking taller than I was when I came in. One of those goals that Dr. Mikey asked about was being able to meditate on the ground without any back support. I don't feel much discomfort as I used to and although I'm not at my absolute end goal, I'm working towards it and the adjustments have definitely helped a bunch. I also want to note how big of a heart the staff has for their community. Their Instagram game is on point with the educational videos, encouraging people to be active but also caring for the community. One of these post was a notice for a beach clean up at Hau Bush in 'Ewa Beach and quite a few people came out to help. I love that they have a heart to give back in many different ways and if I could, I'd give them a 100 star review. My hats off to the Cornerstone Ohana. All I can say is wow. I am military and found this place like 3 days before I left. . Amazing. Here are a few reasons. My wife recommended them and she literally could barely walk. After 3 visits she was able to stroll around waikiki and spend all of my money again. The receptionist got me some water and was very sweet. The kids area would have been awesome if I would have brought my kids. Dr. Chad took an X-ray of me and and checked the temps of my spine for agitation (I think, lol) The adjustment was not too rough and scary like it can be. I will update on how I feel in a few days. I can't say enough about how much Dr. Aki has helped me! I've reviewed Cornerstone Chiropractic before and wanted to add an update. It has now been months since I have experienced any back pain -- and I am so grateful after suffering with it for years! But for several months, I had pain and swelling behind my knee from riding my horse. I was contemplating all the steps I would need to go through my primary care doctor... to get an xray... to get a referral to someone orthopedic etc. So I kept putting off pursuing help. Then, I mentioned it to Dr. Aki - and he immediately assessed a mechanical issue with my kneecap; he adjusted it - and the pain and swelling subsided virtually immediately. Amazing... truly amazing. I can't fully explain how amazing this place is. This was my first chiropractic appointment ever and I have researched for years before deciding on coming here. I chose Cornerstone for the sole purpose of them doing x-rays before ever doing an adjustment. The initial appointment was very informative where they talk about YOU. After your x-rays, they see you again to go over your results and you start from there. You really get what you pay for here and it's worth the investment! The staff is very friendly and they really knows his stuff! My doctor helped me manage my headaches from having them 2-3 times a week to about once every 2 week now. These folks are the real deal. First thing you have to appreciate is, their business model. Cornerstone Chiropractic takes X-rays before they treat you. How can you adjust someone without clearly knowing what you're adjusting. The staff is friendly and professional. I went in for back pain and found much more than I expected- a curve in my spine. Dr. Nick explained the plan of treatment very well and walked us through every one of my adjustments. Every visit with Dr. Nick was like going to a friends house. We're in our second month and I personally have seen an improvement in my curve and the way I feel. I think the best one is, I can fall asleep instead of tossing and turning all night. No headaches, and a whole better posture. Staff was friendly, and I went here last week because it came highly recommended. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience. I went in for an adjustment on 8/30. Dr. Mikey focused on 3 points (lower, mid back, and neck). No cracking sound or pop on my back (she was struggling with popping/adjusting my back). I felt pain later in the night. I woke up with my mid back swollen and had trouble breathing normally unless my back is postured a certain way. I ended up at Tripler Hospital at noon 8/31 (less than 24 hours of the so-called adjustment) for assistance because I was struggling to breathe. I felt pain in the back when trying to breathe normally, and so would find myself gasping for air. I was very disappointed...Dr. Mikey should do less talking and more focus on doing a good job with actually adjusting the back. And I felt like she was talking so much that all she focused on was pushing the $1k plus plan for three months to keep coming back for more "adjustments." Talk about having a hidden agenda. I don't recommend this place, or at the very least-Dr. Mikey. Aggressive sales tactic and didn't properly adjust. I felt scammed with the amount of money spent (with one visit full of talking (no adjustment), and the other visit (less than 10 min) with a phony "adjustment." read more

Don't go here! This place is a scam!! I had a referral from my PCP and called to see if they accepted my insurance (I have two different types of medical insurances) they said they took one but not the other, so I booked an apt. The day of my apt I brought my own X-rays (taken days before this apt) that the hospital took of my lower back and hip. I had to pay for more X-rays and was told that money would go towards my co-pay, that it took the office 24 hours to verify my insurance (weird but this was my first time going to a chiropractor in Hawaii). The first visit with Dr Chad he tried to adjust me. He failed and said he'd review my X-rays to come up with a plan for my unique problem and that I should come back next week. Fast forward, my second apt he gave me a review of my X-ray pointing out things wrong with my neck. I was there bc of lower back and hip pain. Then he walked me through a "treatment" plan that would take nearly a year with 12 adjustments the first month followed by home care and home exercises (which are not only preventive measures but would relieve pain and discomfort I was currently in which would not be given until months later after he "got to know me"). This was then followed by a reassessment that I assume can only be more X-rays and neuroscope. At the end of the apt he told me that my insurance wasn't accepted and that they only accept two kinds of insurance. Then proceeded on selling me why I should make a payment plan ($1,000 out of pocket) rather than find someone in my network. - The office lied about taking my insurance to get me in the door - Dr Chad is more concerned on selling his services rather than providing care - Dr Chad doesn't listen to the patient - Dr Chad is inexperienced and couldn't adjust me read more

Cornerstone Community Chiropractic is a wonderful office of 4 chiropractors that are at the top of their game. They are specific, check your spine to make sure they are only adjusting where it needs to be adjusted, and are quick and efficient. I've had great results so far, barely have back pain (I used to suffer from back pain almost daily), and they even caught a spine injury that no one has found in over 20 years. They are thorough and caught that I had whiplash after a car accident that a doctor had cleared me of. My daughter was also seeing a physical therapist and they found that she had scoliosis that had never been found or diagnosed!! Go in for a free consultation and see for yourself. I've stumbled across something amazing! Looking for a better option then surgery for my 13 yr old child that was dealing with scoliosis, an urinary incontinence.
