My husband finally convinced me to give it a try when other things I was doing didn't completely help my nagging SI pain. Kai acknowledged my apprehension and made me feel comfortable. We've been going to Turning Point Waipio for a while now after a bad experience with another chiropractor at a different establishment. What we like most about Turning Point is their professional attitude and atmosphere, more specifically Dr. Kai. He understands our bodies and the sports that we do. He always gives us friendly advice on how to make sure our bodies are working to its best ability when we train. We also love that the parking is free and always plentiful. Im a big guy and when I go to Chiropractors they usually use those air compression tables and the adjustment is minor. But the Dr here offers a more intense option in his style for big people like me and it helps sooo much better. They offer hydro massage or massage table and electro therapy (tens machine) too. Coming back from a three month hiatus on the mainland I needed some adjusting. I carry tension and stress in my traps and up my neck, especially on my left side, and I was in a great deal of pain. I had been adjusted while I was on the mainland, but it had been a few weeks. Why co e here you ask? Good question! I had ten visits remaining from when I was a regular here two years ago. Tanner was the doc I saw back in the day but he's moved on and a bubbly, kind female doctor is who adjusted me. Since it has been quite sometime I need an exam. I answered a series of questions, range of motion diagnostic and physical manipulations of head neck, shoulders, back and hips to see what was what. After that...I warned her I was extremely tight LoL I encouraged her with good luck, and we begin. I was face down on the table and as she's pushing, she said "Oh, my goodness... You warned me... Most people have a spring tide response when I push on the hips in the back. When I push on yours, it's like pushing on a table." She was professional, and did get several good pops and movement and I will gladly go back for future adjustments. I'll, in the meantime, be working on my mobility and flexibility, it's 100% my fault. It started a few months ago when I hurt my lower back at work. My wife called Turning Point Chiropractor to make an appointment and they were able to see me later that afternoon. First thing I was shown was a video that explains why we should get adjusted regularly. After the video, Dr. Kai came in and explained what his plans are to relieve my lower back pain. Since that visit, my back pain has lessened & I continue to get treated weekly to help keep the pain away. He's the only Dr. I look forward to seeing. read more

We were very disappointed with how the office handle our inquiry and concerns. When we inquired for the service for my husband and gave our insurance card so they can access how much is the fee per session, we were told that we have to pay $30.00 per session. We were quoted for almost $600 for 12 sessions including our insurance coverage, so I paid the 12 sessions upfront. When I asked for the copy of the receipt of the 12 sessions I paid last month, which my husband was already in his 9 sessions, we were told that our insurance doesn't cover anything so they are charging us $60+ per sessions and we have to pay more if he still want to continue the 12 sessions. I asked to speak with the manager, I was told to call the Manager, her name is Teresa. I called her number but she wasn't around and left my message with the the lady I spoke with and was told that she will send a message to her and call me back. That was last week and until now I haven't heard anything from Teresa or anybody from Turning Point. Also, until now they haven't give me copy of the receipt for the 12 sessions I paid. I just my first visit with Chiropractic and it was AMAZING. The chiropractor was very through in the initial examination; we talked about all the issues I was experiencing with my body. He then immediately proceeded to adjust me. It felt amazing! He then hooked me up to some sort of electric impulse machine and left me in the room. I felt it work, my muscles were contracting but it was so relaxing at the same point. Later in the day I discovered that my neck was not hurting any more.
