[[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely recommend! I was on vacation and suddenly tweaked my back and was in pain. Luckily Turning point was able to accommodate me and take me in for treatment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They didn't take my insurance but I was ok with it considering I'm not from there and I needed help really bad because of my back. I left there feeling so much better and in less pain than I was prior. What I did like was this water massage therapy table they had me go on after and it was heaven! I also loved the fact that they asked me a bunch of questions to help pinpoint my pain and to understand my muscles and how to better help me with my treatment. I've been going to chiropractors for decades and can attest to the benefits of regular adjustments. I was shopping for a new chiropractor and tried this office. It was not a good fit for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did not like the heavy sales pitch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did not like that my first appt didn't even include an adjustment (something they did not tell me until after their "office visit") yet they charged my insurance $220. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did not like that they made me watch a video (and told me I would watch another video at a future appt).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did not like that my "treatment plan" conveniently used up ALL of my allotted visits covered by insurance. After 2 visits my pain was gone. Yet they had me scheduled for 6-8 more visits. I never went back. There are a lot of chiropractors out there that can help with back pain without the heavy sales tactics. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I feel that this office is more focused on sales than actual patient needs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've never had a chiropractor that had a treatment plan going out months: they assess patient needs at each visit. I'm not saying you can't get relief from back pain at Turning Point, I'm just saying that you can get care elsewhere that is just as good without the sales tactics and long-term treatment plan (and having to watch ridiculous childish videos). read more

This is a long overdue review...I started seeing Dr. Jonah in early 2024 due to numbness on my right side. After my initial visits last year which went from multiple times per week to weekly, I am now on a maintenance schedule once/month. Numbness has not returned since, and I have better posture and am able to remain as active as I want. I have HMSA which covers a handful of visits a year. The cash price after that is very reasonable, and they have an awesome wellness rewards program where you can earn free visits. Love how Dr. Jonah also counsels me on diet, supplements and exercise because he knows chiropractic is complementary to a healthy lifestyle. That is a major green flag as nothing is a fix all on its own. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front desk staff is exceptional as well. I finally put on my big girl panties and made an appointment with a chiropractor. I've had chronic back pain for as long as I can remember and just recently started having sporadic shoulder and neck pain. I double checked with my insurance and sure enough I had benefits! Fast forward to today, I just had my first adjustment with Dr. Dias. He was so gentle and informative, and talked me through everything. My previous Dr. retired & I've been on a hunt for a new Chiropractor for sometime. My friend recommended Turning Point. I started to get bad headaches and back pains the last week and I knew I need to be seen ASAP. I love how Turning Point has multiple locations and long hours. They were able to get me in today! I met Dr. Brian, who's amazing. Very professional, great chair side manners and informative with my treatment. I left there feeling 110% better than I did walking in. The staff is very friendly, Lea (sorry if I spelled this incorrectly) very sweet assistant and Evelyn who made checking out the office very quick and easy. For the most part I do recommend anyone looking for a Chiropractor to give Turning Point (Aiea location) a try. I initially came here because I could barely walk one day randomly. I had told them over the phone what my concerns were and getting an appointment was easy and convenient. My initial appointment they were very helpful in helping me understand where my problem areas would be and the importance of keeping, my spine aligned, Dr. Bryan is who I initially saw and he was by far my favorite chiropractor I have ever seen. He was very patient and when I told him my concerns such as having a fear of getting my neck cracked, he made sure he made me feel 100% comfortable. Initially for my treatment I was seeing them 2 to 3 times a week and then it went down to once a month for maintenance. My insurance covered most of my bill and I ended up paying about $30 for both therapy and adjustment. I will definitely be returning from time to time even though I moved I think the drive out there is worth it. read more

Dr. Dean Shivvers grew up in a small town near Des Moines, Iowa. He received his Doctorate degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles in 2013. While working his way through graduate school, Dr. Dean was also the president of the Gonstead Club, which promotes a specific chiropractic technique that he utilizes in the treatment of patients.

The chiropractor used instruments to apply controlled, rapid, and, high-velocity, low-amplitude force to a joint, typically in the spine. If you prefer the manual hands on crack/twist your body, they do not use that method. They did however crack my neck. So far it seems to be helping with my sciatica. I asked about the 10 visit price special, but she told me the prices was a Black Friday special. Funny, I was quoted that price well after Black Friday. Just like the other docs..The first time I saw him, he did a full exam of my spine and neck (biggest area of concern) and asked a lot of questions about my activity level and pain. He stretched me out a little bit prior to my adjustment (much appreciated) then very gently adjusted me back into place ..What a great experience and he is so gentle with the adjustments..no surprises ! The front staff are always so pleasant, as well. Thank you Island Family Chiropractic.. and especially Dr. Myers !! You are the best !!

She even warned me about the extractions. I went in with quite a few blackheads and whiteheads, especially around my nose. Surprisingly, the extractions were nowhere near as painful as when I try to do them myself! The difference in my skin afterward was noticeable. My skin feels cleaner, fresher, and my pores--especially around my nose--looked visibly better. Lilian incorporated neck, arm, and hand massages, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. She checked in with me periodically to make sure I was comfortable and doing okay, which I really appreciated. When you book your appointment, you pay ahead of time. They had called on Monday with an appointment reminder and sent a text yesterday. In these days when everything is go, go,go, these reminders are super helpful. When I walked in this evening to check in, the lady at the front was super nice and welcoming. I had my session with Kalani. She was super friendly and did a great job workingout all the knots i had. I ended up leaving my session relaxed and refreshed. I highly recommend you come here if you are looking to pamper yourself.

On our recent specialist vet visit, Wheatie's doctor complimented his looks and commented on how young he seemed. His liver enzymes continue to be normal and it's hard to believe how ill he was before coming to Dr. Yoza. Wheatie also loves coming to see Dr. Yoza and his staff. He's made a few puppy pals as well!
