I've been seeing Dr. Kato for over 10 years now, both for emergencies and for regular maintenance, and genuinely don't know what I would do without him at this point. As someone who carries a lot of physical stress from work, travel, long hours at a desk, lifting equipment, and everyday life, my body can get completely out of alignment fast, and somehow he always gets me feeling like myself again. What I appreciate most is that appointments never feel rushed .He really takes the time to listen, explain what's going on, and work on the root of the issue instead of just doing a quick adjustment and sending you out the door. I always leave feeling noticeably better. He's also one of the kindest, funniest, most down to earth people ever, which honestly makes such a difference when you're stressed or in pain. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and loves what he does. I recommend him to everyone I know and genuinely could not speak more highly of him. read more

He was very patient and put me at ease with his casual but professional demeanor. He is not in a rush to hurry you out the door he will take time to explain the procedure.. He is a one man army taking on the roles of administration receptionist billing and of course doctor. After his adjustments I couldnt believe how loose and better how my back felt. When you meet a genuinely good person who's also funny, your life becomes much more brighter. Dr. Kato is one of those people who effortlessly makes you happy AND pain free. What makes him an exception chiropractor besides his easy-going fun personality, is (1) he explains what's happening in your body that's causing you pain (2) explains the technique he'll use to relieve that issue (3) has long business hours (4) doesn't pack patients back-to-back so he really discusses your problems and addresses them (5) and did I mention he's really likable and funny. Update on his YELP office location - it's suite 505 (not 305) so head to the 5th floor at the Aiea Medical Building. read more

Kato Chiropractic Care - Scrapping after cupping session. Range of motion went from 30 to 120 degrees bend at the waist! Pretty amazing - Chiropractors Near Me - Aiea, Hawaii

Been coming to see Stephen for half a year now. Seeing all the positive things I read here on Yelp, helped me decide that he should be my next chiropractor. He's really easy going and very easy to get along with. His method is different from other chiropractors that we looked at. We've recommended Dr. Kato to a handful of our friends and they all are happy with his care. We see him every month...as you should too lol! Office is located above the former Aiea Heights drive inn. Plenty of parking. read more

My brother referred me to Dr. Kato and I am so grateful! I am steadily getting better after years of bad posture. I've been to see him about 4 times now & each time I see him, he works on the areas I'm having problems with. I've had cupping & gua sha scraping done as well as the traditional chiropractic "cracking". Not being rushed and feeling like I'm just another $$$ to him was very important to me as well. I recommend you try Kato Chiropractic Care yourself and feel the difference! Michelle Gonzalez read more

I was referred to Dr. Kato several months ago when I first hurt my back lifting weights. Being that it was my first time seeing a chiropractor, I was nervous. Turns out I had no reason to be. Dr. Kato has an easy going nature about him that it's difficult to be nervous. He takes the time to explain things and is constantly asking if there was any pain through the entire process. Last week I went back to see him for some lower back pain. I left feeling better. When I started feeling the pain again the next day, I called and was really happy that he could squeeze me in on short notice. It's seems that he's a popular chiropractor since he's pretty busy. On my most recent visit he did some muscle work, then taped up my lower back; explaining what the kinesio tape does, how it works, and let me know what I should do to help with the pain. Today I feel so much better, and what's more is that the pain is gone. If you need a chiropractor, you should see Dr. Kato! read more

I went to Kato Chiropractic Care for the first time yesterday and felt so much better leaving then when I arrived. A shoulder that has been ailing me for years, is now pain free! My back feels much better after only one session. He is patient, thorough, very knowledgeable, and cares about his patients. He even provides a good sense of humor to go along with the session! read more

Dr. Kato is very knowledgeable and experienced in what he does. Miracles never cease whenever I walk out of an appointment with him. I should be more consistent in getting adjusted but I'm one of those people who wait till I feel pain instead of preventing it. He always makes an effort to try and fit me in even if he is busy. You can tell he cares about his patients and has a passion for helping people. He accepts insurance and if chiropractic care isn't covered by your insurance his prices are still very affordable and definitely worth every cent. Make an appointment ahead of time because he is very busy and usually is booked weeks in advanced. He is located in the Aiea Medical Building #505. It is $1 every 30 minutes for parking. read more

I first came to see him after having a painful stiff neck and he squeezed me in that same day. Since then I've been extremely grateful. I've been coming to see him (on and off) for about a year and I don't think I'll ever make a switch. I recommend and send any and everyone needing a chiropractor his way. He is very knowledgeable and passionate in helping those with musculoskeletal issues. Very accommodating and kind. Super down to earth person & overall awesome human being. Thank you, Dr. Kato for being a real one! read more

My husband just recently went to see Dr.Kato. He's located behind Cutter Ford in Waimalu. He's very personable which I really liked. He wasn't all business and actually tried to get to know us. Was looking for a chiro in the Aiea area and looked on yelp. Saw Dr Kato and read the reviews and was skeptical of all the raving reviews...must be all his friends. But i can say he definitely lives up to the hype. He's a great chiro that really, truly cares about his patients and wants them feeling better. The downside is he's so popular that his appointments book up weeks in advance. But if you really need care, he will try to squeeze you in, even if it means he doesn't get to eat lunch. Now that's dedication! read more

Dr. Kato is the man. My grandfather was a Chiropractor & so was my uncle needless to say, I have high expectations when it comes to adjustments. Dr. Kato is the best Chiro by far that I've found on island. Super chill, witty, funny as hell if you're paying attention when he's running through his routine spiel of instruction. He takes the time to explain what he's doing & why he prefers to do it in that particular way. I have an SI joint issue & he always is accommodating when I request a particular adjustment technique. Because he is so good though, his patient list is long; expect bookings to be about a month out, for sure worth it. If its urgent, he will find a way to fit you in somewhere. Great guy. read more

I've never been to a chiropractor before, and until Stephen worked on me I can't say I was a believer. After 3 sessions, I've been 100% converted. Dr.Kato instantly puts you at ease with his easy going personality but is a consummate professional. He loves what he does and it shows. Prior to going to Stephen, I tried acupuncture, massage, cupping,....nothing worked. After a bad fall skiing, I had a nagging sore neck for 2 months and couldn't look up at the ceiling without sharp shooting pains down my neck and spine. Stephen fixed me up in 3 sessions and even resolved trapezius muscle tightness that's plagued me most of my adulthood. Incredible. Go to him and you'll see! read more

The best!!! I been to lots of different chiropractor in the island. Dr Kato is the best. I've been struggling with lower back hip pain for about a year. First visit, he fixes it. He knew why, he knew how, and he educate you so that you are aware and guide you so you can assist yourself in the healing. Before he is an amazing chiropractor, he is an amazing person, he cares. Don't be skeptical or just say ok I believe this fool(me) once and go see him. You will be thinking the same as me......."what a relief! Thank you dr!" read more

Dr. Stephen Kato is one of a kind. He is very easy going and tries to fit you in his schedule since he is quite popular as a chiropractor. His adjustments and tips are very helpful and unlike other chiropractors I've heard of it doesn't hurt. But the patient must relax! Haha sometimes I have a hard time remembering and I brace myself, not because of the pain, there isn't any! But for the sound. I still will state that Dr. Stephen Kato is the best chiropractor I know of. Also he does his billing on time and you don't have to worry about random phone calls from your insurance company. I've been to one other chiropractor company before and... They don't do their billing although they're good at what they do professionally. read more
