When we entered the "cafe" the staff ignored us for at least a minute while he played with his cell phone--not how one should treat customers. The a/c was off despite the fact it was 82 F outside. The food presentation was horrible as was the taste. First time here and will NOT return. read more

I gave a 5-star review for Corner Thai 3 years ago and not much has changed. It's still one of our top go-to places in Westerly. The food is as good as ever, and what I would consider authentic Thai. Today, I ordered Gang Kaew Wan (green curry), which is one of my favorites, and also tried the Greenish Fried Rice for the first time. That was pretty good too. I also got soup and an app, so I'll have plenty of yummy leftovers! I'll probably even dig into my wife's Fiery Pad Thai with tofu, which is another favorite! read more

Ordered the curry dumplings which were quite heavy and filling and the usual chicken pad thai and chicken ga prow. My oh my, absolutely impressed by the quality and flavors. Loved that it came close to the food i had in thailand (minus the spice), 4 star because the pad thai was a little too sweet though the flavors are there. Overall excellent food, experience and can i just say, it was located outside a nice little town in westerley-pawcatuck. Would come back when in town. read more

I went here for dinner recently after being ignored for 26 at the newest noodle place in town. We were sat right away and the customer service was phenomenal. We ordered an appetizer sampler and I had drunken noodles, and everything was very tasty and delicious. I will continue to come here whenever I get the craving for delicious Thai food. I am from Vermont and went on a three day vacation to Westerly RI where the Thai cafe is. I was taking back by the Thai dishes offered. I was stationed in Thailand when I was in the service. The Thai food served at the restaurant was like being in Thailand all over again. So if you're ever in Westerly take the time to stop in and eat real Thailand food from some very friendly people who will please you like no other place on earth with great prices and very good service. read more

Excellent food and terrific service! When I asked which of their curries was most like a Massamun curry, the waitress offered to make a Massamun which isn't on the menu. AND, she happily agreed to make it with duck, which also technically isn't on the menu. Yum! The pad Thai was delicious, as was the curry fried rice. Definitely try the Corner Rolls, too! read more

If I could give this place 100 stars I would! Thi thi our waitress was AMAZING! The food was INCREDIBLE! I wish I could express to you how wonderful of an experience this was! Haven't even left the restaurant and I'm writing this now. Me and my husband (one week anniversary today ) are on our honeymoon here and I'm sad were leaving cuz I want to eat here everyday! Excellent Thai.... Really to die for. I've never eaten at the restaurant, only takeout. It's very small but nice atmosphere tucked away in a small corner of the 55 beach st. plaza. Usually the wait isn't too bad (30 minutes) occasionally they get bogged down with in-house customers so that's upped to an hour. But I can understand that, it's a small operation and the food makes up for it. Not too spicy - I usually get the "fiery pad Thai" and have to ask for it extra spicy. That's in terms of Thai, which is usually very spicy. Never had a bad thing here. Go-to for Thai in western RI. read more

Wow, thanks to yelp we tried this excellent Thai restaurant. Tried green curry, penang curry and spicy pad thai. The food was all fresh and flavorful, with just the right amount of spiciness. The interior is nice enough for dining but I think most of their business is take out. read more

Thank you, Yelp, for leading us here for lunch during a weekend getaway! Corner Thai is an absolute gem. We're from a major East coast city and have had lots of great Thai before, but I actually think this place beats them all. We dined in and the atmosphere of the cafe was clean, adorable and relaxing. We each had small bowls of soup and the Tom Kahn was superb. Grilled calamari, Thai rolls--amazing and tons to share between us. The staff was so nice and we were in and out in under 30 minutes. Awesome food. Calamari was crispy and huge, fried crab cheese may have been the best fried Rangoon I've ever had...Fiery pad Thai and husbands red curry dishes were very tasty and rich. Place was hopping though there were only 6 tables in the restaurant, our waitress was slammed with takeout orders and whatever else happens behind the curtains. Wish there was booze but byob option will be remembered for the next time we visit. Bill was very affordable at 50 bucks for 2 dinners, 2 apps, and 2 Thai iced teas. The food was very good and authentic but served completely FREEZING COLD. The service was VERY slow, it took about 20 minutes until I was able to find someone and requested to order food. It took about another 30 minutes for our food to come out. The food tastes great but the service is so slow it's not even worth it. read more

So so so good. I love thai and this place serves really really good thai food. Small place and sort of hidden but quick and reliably really really good food. I've never eaten inside but it looks nice, although small. I live right down the road so I always order and pick up so I can bring it home and I've never been disappointed. I'm a big fan of this restaurant. The food is great and the service is so welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a little shopping plaza off of Route 1A and there is limited seating. Some of the dishes have a lot of heat to them, so if you don't like spicy food you may want to ask them about preparing the dish with mild spices. I would highly recommend the soups as well as the rice noodles. Pricing is very reasonable given the portions and quality. read more

The food is so delicious. Recommend the vegetarian woonsen soup! Just wish there was a bell at the counter so you're not forced to yell to people in the kitchen. I watched a customer walk in and wait at the counter for what seemed like 15 minutes before the hostess noticed him standing there; that only happened because the phone and she came out to place a to-go order. This is our third take out order since the new owners have taken over, and it's probably our last. We found all of our appetizers and main dishes were under cooked. The chicken in the dishes, which I assume is precooked, was not under cooked, but the potatoes, veggies and noodles were all under cooked. The dishes also lacked the flavor we came to enjoy with prior owners. Everything we've tried was quite bland and different from what we experienced before. Too bad.
