Excellent chinese. Very clean restaurant that is a typical American version Chinese menu. There are a few extra items like Thai curry as well. For this area, we thought the prices must be wrong (too cheap), but we were very pleased to see small and large portion prices (typically 6.95 vs 9.95). Thus, a great addition close to home in Mystic for Chinese food that won't break the bank. I did download the app, but hadn't tried it yet. I got a pick up order. Saw on yelp that this was the #1 ranked Chinese restaurant in the Mystic area. It is not. The service was great. My order was ready at the requested pickup time and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly. The issue is the food. The steamed dumplings have so much breading on them. I have had a lot a steamed dumplings in my life and this was by far the most breading I have ever seen on a dumpling. For the meal I got a combo. The chicken is fine but the rice has an aftertaste that lingers. It could be the seasoning one the wok. It's hard to explain what it is. read more

Went here for the first time last night. Got the General Tso chicken. It was very good! Crispy and not over sauced like most places. Food was ready in 10 minutes. Can't speak for their other dishes yet but to get the most popular Chinese dish correct is a great start! I'll be back! read more

I am not sure why I never gave this place a try although I've driven by it hundreds of times. I kind of gave up on take out Chinese food in the area and stuck to JP Tokyo's take out despite the high prices. Wife did a quick Yelp search and sent me here on my way home from work, we were not disappointed. The lady that greeted me was extremely friendly from the minute I walked in until I left, not what you typically expect. The small dining room had about 4 tables and the cleanliness was well above average. The General Tso's chicken was perfect, I don't think there was a fatty piece of chicken in there. The crab rangoon and lo mein noodles didn't last a second in the house. Overall a solid place and we will be back. read more

This little asian restaurant is in a very convenient location (the Haley Brook Shopping Center) with plenty of parking and easy access to Route 95 via Gold Star Highway. Hands down the best egg rolls I've ever had anywhere! The service is fantastic, they are quick, friendly, and have great deals on their food. Usually everything takes about 20-30 minutes to prepare (everything is prepared after you call, so it's always fresh). I enjoy a variety of their dishes, but the bourbon chicken and lemon chicken are my favourites. (I would not recommend their pad-thai though.) My mum and a friend of ours are both huge fans of their kung pow chicken! The service is really great, they always offer an assortment of extra sauces and condiments at the register and they are so friendly and helpful - everything is fresh, the food is delicious, and the ingredients are always high quality. In the search for good Chinese-American food in the Groton area 8 have started to expand my radius. So the next stop is China King on Route 184. I ordered steamed dumplings, pork fried rice, Sub Gum Won Ton, and Hunan Chicken. The dumpling's filling was very good although as a personal preference I prefer the wrapper to be thinner and not so doughy. It's a personal preference as I have had it both ways. The pork fried rice was very good with big chunks or Char Sui pork. The Hunan Chicken was ok...nothing remarkable about it but very tasty. The star of the meal is the Sub Gum Won Ton. A dish that if you order takeout requires a little of assembly. Traditionally the deep fried Won Tons are covered with the pork-chicken-beef-vegetables in a brown sauce. But as you take it home it would eventually make the Won Tons very soggy. So when you get home get a large plate, arrange the Won tons 8n a single layer then pour the contents of the container with the meat-vegetable mix over the Won Tons. It is very good. Eat immediately as you want the wontons to have some of the crunch. Very few places do this right or even offer this dish. It would be the ma8n reason why I would frequent this establishment. read more

Slow gave time of 40 minutes and when got to there after 45 minutes they made You pay first then said few more minutes. It turns out the food wasn't even started. It is usual for the kids to help out but they were doing more work than they should be. They handled the cash drawer and than plates food without washing hands or using new plastic gloves. read more

We came across this place because of Yelp and we are glad we did. It is really good. It is a little far for us to go on a regular basis, but their takeout is great. This place used to be called Asian kitchen and owned by a different person and it was the worst most disorganized Chinese take out I have ever had or seen . Food and service was horrible . A new owner took it over a few months back and now is called China king I live across the street from China King and have ordered many times using there order online feature through beyond menu . Let me tell what a difference a new owner makes. The Food is excellent , the owners are awesome and actually care about the food there making . Wonderful service and tasty Chinese food. They are always consistent with yummy dishes. I visit a couple of times per week. The little girl who takes orders is professional , accurate and impressive.
