Made well and always fresh. Tastes great! Wish the prices were lower but it's excellent.

I got a pick up order. Saw on yelp that this was the #1 ranked Chinese restaurant in the Mystic area. It is not. The service was great. My order was ready at the requested pickup time and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly. The issue is the food. The steamed dumplings have so much breading on them. I have had a lot a steamed dumplings in my life and this was by far the most breading I have ever seen on a dumpling. For the meal I got a combo. The chicken is fine but the rice has an aftertaste that lingers. It could be the seasoning one the wok. It's hard to explain what it is. read more

China King - Steamed 8. Dumling - Chinese Near Me - Groton, Connecticut

I love this place and I love the family who own it! Food is always good, service is always so friendly and fast! If you haven't been to China King in Old Mystic yet you really should order here! Every dish and appetizer I've ordered and my son and neighbor have had are absolutely delicious and fresh. Sometimes I find that Chinese takeout all has similar taste, but China King's menu items all have their own delicious and unique flavors. Love this family too. Highly recommend!!! read more

I ordered online for pickup through their website, and the process was super easy. They followed all of my instructions perfectly. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, the pickup was ready on time, and the food was delicious. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'll definitely be back! read more

Our go-to place for Chinese takeout. We always order by phone and the service is fast and friendly. I would say the ambiance is set for takeout rather than dine-in. We have gotten many of the "combination platters" and they are a hit every time, General Tso's chicken being our favorite. We are also a big fan of the egg rolls and crab rangoons. read more

Stopped in for dinner and was happily surprised at how good the food was. I have been looking for decent Chinese food for a year now and i finally found a place. It's not the best you will ever have but it was good food, pleasant staff and it is a nice sit down restaurant, it's not just take out. read more

We are new to the area so we are trying to find some good eating places. We picked up the orange chicken, kung Pao chicken and General Tso. All was great. Will be back here soon read more

What happened to this place? Best Chinese food around, but now they no longer offer delivery through DoorDash or any other app...why??

Ordered online. Thru gave me a pick up time and the proceeded to make me wait 20 extra minutes. People came in and out and there I sat. Seems like they didn't even start my order till I showed up for pickup read more

This my family's go to Chinese take out place. It is clearly family owned and run. The food is consistent and online ordering via the Beyond Menu app is convenient. The only knock is that items marked as being spicy never are. read more

Really good Chinese food. Reasonably priced, easy to order on their website, and quick pickup. Also had soup and an egg roll. All delicious read more

China King - L19. General Tso's Chicken Lunch Special - Chinese Near Me - Groton, Connecticut

Went here for the first time last night. Got the General Tso chicken. It was very good! Crispy and not over sauced like most places. Food was ready in 10 minutes. Can't speak for their other dishes yet but to get the most popular Chinese dish correct is a great start! I'll be back! read more

Close to my house and great food every time! Lovely family-run business with food that is fast, cheap and tasty.

I am not sure why I never gave this place a try although I've driven by it hundreds of times. I kind of gave up on take out Chinese food in the area and stuck to JP Tokyo's take out despite the high prices. Wife did a quick Yelp search and sent me here on my way home from work, we were not disappointed. The lady that greeted me was extremely friendly from the minute I walked in until I left, not what you typically expect. The small dining room had about 4 tables and the cleanliness was well above average. The General Tso's chicken was perfect, I don't think there was a fatty piece of chicken in there. The crab rangoon and lo mein noodles didn't last a second in the house. Overall a solid place and we will be back. read more

I wouldn't recommend this Chinese place. The food wasn't served hot and overall lacked flavor. The rice was a little stale. I went once and wouldn't go again. read more

Holy wonton soup Batman! A great lunch time value meal for sure! Great value and pretty good taste and quality. If you can get passed the chihuahua barking at you when you order you will be on your way to a world of ding dong bliss! I will frequent this establishment if I am again in this neck of the wood. I would recommend this place to my friends and foes. read more

We were staying at a local inn and wanted a quick meal. This place is amazing! We got fantail shrimp, crab Rangoon, bourbon chicken and general tsos. Only comment is maybe a little less veggies in the bourbon chicken. We would definitely come again ! read more

This little asian restaurant is in a very convenient location (the Haley Brook Shopping Center) with plenty of parking and easy access to Route 95 via Gold Star Highway. The lunch specials are large enough for 2 people and very affordable (approx $ 6 for your choice of 50 entrees (!), accompanied by a ton of pork fried rice and soup or a soda.) I had pork lo mein with hot and sour soup -- both were tasty -- and I had enough left over for dinner.) This place can't t be beat for the price. Asian Kitchen is open 7 days a week, 11am - 9:30 pm Sun - Thurs; 11 am- 10:30 pm Fri and Sat. read more

Excellent chinese. Very clean restaurant that is a typical American version Chinese menu. There are a few extra items like Thai curry as well. For this area, we thought the prices must be wrong (too cheap), but we were very pleased to see small and large portion prices (typically 6.95 vs 9.95). Thus, a great addition close to home in Mystic for Chinese food that won't break the bank. I did download the app, but hadn't tried it yet. It should make it a nice quick stop on the way home, so I'll definitely use it going forward. read more

The worst Chinese food I've ever had. Bought the Szechuan chicken lunch With egg drop soup. I basically paid for a bowl of tasteless rice with very little meat. The soup was inedible. Pretty disgusting actually. Mystic Wokery is much better! read more

Hands down the best egg rolls I've ever had anywhere! The service is fantastic, they are quick, friendly, and have great deals on their food. Usually everything takes about 20-30 minutes to prepare (everything is prepared after you call, so it's always fresh). I enjoy a variety of their dishes, but the bourbon chicken and lemon chicken are my favourites. (I would not recommend their pad-thai though.) My mum and a friend of ours are both huge fans of their kung pow chicken! The service is really great, they always offer an assortment of extra sauces and condiments at the register and they are so friendly and helpful - everything is fresh, the food is delicious, and the ingredients are always high quality. I go there several times a month, I'm definitely a regular. This is the best Chinese food you'll find in the area. read more

In the search for good Chinese-American food in the Groton area 8 have started to expand my radius. So the next stop is China King on Route 184. I ordered steamed dumplings, pork fried rice, Sub Gum Won Ton, and Hunan Chicken. The dumpling's filling was very good although as a personal preference I prefer the wrapper to be thinner and not so doughy. It's a personal preference as I have had it both ways. The pork fried rice was very good with big chunks or Char Sui pork. The Hunan Chicken was ok...nothing remarkable about it but very tasty. The star of the meal is the Sub Gum Won Ton. A dish that if you order takeout requires a little of assembly. Traditionally the deep fried Won Tons are covered with the pork-chicken-beef-vegetables in a brown sauce. But as you take it home it would eventually make the Won Tons very soggy. So when you get home get a large plate, arrange the Won tons 8n a single layer then pour the contents of the container with the meat-vegetable mix over the Won Tons. It is very good. Eat immediately as you want the wontons to have some of the crunch. Very few places do this right or even offer this dish. It would be the ma8n reason why I would frequent this establishment. read more

Was in the area for a clinic. Saw they received good reviews on yelp so decided to try myself. Was not disappointed. General tsaos was great! read more

Slow gave time of 40 minutes and when got to there after 45 minutes they made You pay first then said few more minutes. It turns out the food wasn't even started. It is usual for the kids to help out but they were doing more work than they should be. They handled the cash drawer and than plates food without washing hands or using new plastic gloves. read more

We live down the road and this place is a great quick take out joint. Very friendly staff, and the dishes are correctly seasoned and cooked. It is Chinese takeout, but some of the better I've had in the area. read more

We came across this place because of Yelp and we are glad we did. It is really good. It is a little far for us to go on a regular basis, but their takeout is great. If you were looking to sit down and eat it is very small. They have online ordering which is great. The menu, fare, and prices are pretty standard for American Chinese food. read more

Great food and quick service. Definitely one of the best Chinese food restaurants in the area.

The food was amazing. It would have gotten 5 stars but they don't deliver. I had to drive to them with two toddlers in the car, but they did come out to the car to give me my food. Highly recommend them for some good Chinese. read more

Our go-to for Chinese take-out! The General Tso's chicken and garlic broccoli are delicious. They are always quick and courteous.

The food is just okay. Every chicken dish I've ever gotten here has been over cooked and dry. Chicken fingers tough, general tso dry and hard to eat. Just seems to be going downhill. read more

This place used to be called Asian kitchen and owned by a different person and it was the worst most disorganized Chinese take out I have ever had or seen . Food and service was horrible . A new owner took it over a few months back and now is called China king I live across the street from China King and have ordered many times using there order online feature through beyond menu . Let me tell what a difference a new owner makes. The Food is excellent , the owners are awesome and actually care about the food there making . So many options, everything we have tried is good. Online ordering is a HUGE bonus. The service is always friendly.

This place used to be Asian Kitchen and they had the worst Asian food. We hated it and vowed to never go back. We were thus a little skeptical to try it and after a year, we realized it had changed to China King and decided to try it out again. China King is a lot cleaner and the food was a lot a lot better. We had the Kung bao chicken and Happy family. We were relatively pleased with their food. Having it again? Yes definitely!! read more
