This place is a gem in the Dorsoduro area! We had their tasty cicchetti (small Venetian bites), coffee, and Aperol Spritz--all served in a relaxed, local atmosphere with very reasonable prices. We've already been back a couple of times.

We found this place in Venice after talking with a local guide at our hotel. It's a super tiny pub tucked in one of Venice many alleys. I got the ham and cheese panino which was excellent as well as my wife's tuna and tomato that she said was the BEST tuna she's ever had. They both were awesome and served slightly warmed. Two panini and a bottle of sparkling water was 11 euro. Go find it and you'll be very happy you did.

I wish I had discovered this pub before my last day in Venice! What's not to like about it? The cocktails, spritzes, and beers are all super cheap. And the spritzes are as good as any that I've had! The sandwiches are great paninis that are so satisfying and delicious that for €4.50 they're a steal. The cicchetti are cheap at €1.50 to €2 so load up with your drink. Inside is chaotic. The drink orders happen at one counter, cicchetti orders happen at another, but you pay for everything at the drink counter. Unless you're lucky enough to get a table inside you won't be served and will have to fend for yourself. Thankfully staff speaks English and there is standing room outside. There's also a window to the bar from the outside where you can order drinks.

Walked in for a late lunch. Nobody greeted me or said a thing. Had a seat at a table, nobody greeted me, gave me a menu or said a thing. Sat there waiting for awhile, watching other people drinking and eating. Noticed that the table next to me had not been cleared and that the place was a filthy shithole, dirty tables and filthy floor. Noticed that the people behind the counter were busing talking amongst themselves and laughing. Still nothing........... Got up put my coat back on, grabbed my bag and walked out. Nothing. Skip it.

Well appointed local eatery, quaint interior with cafe style menu. Food of reasonable quality but not cheap and be prepared to pay a lot extra for not being a local - yes, they stung us for items which we only discovered after leaving were massively overpriced. Very disappointed, won't go back and would not recommend. PS: we were overcharged 200% on the water alone.

This place is a real find for Americans in Venice. It is very near the Guggenheim and Academia Galleries. While it looks like a hole in the wall, it is a treat. There are tables in the back that don't cost extra to sit at. The paninis are served hot and are under 4 euro. There is draught beer on tap. You can even get a 20 oz Guiness. If the bar area is crowded, you can order from outside and sit at the outdoor barstools.

    Room in the back!

Great place. Great food and very friendly staff. Not a lot of seating outside but very comfortable and quaint.

The dining area was a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of Venice, and they had a restroom!

(You would've thought USA vs Italy would've attracted more local attention.) SL was a tiny place, but thankfully mostly empty; we plopped ourselves down and ordered some cold beers (pilsner for me, it being a hot afternoon). They had a decent beer list here - several standard styles from the British isles. I noted they also had some locally made brews (I didn't try them) plus Guinness (a necessity for such a place). The vibe wasn't very Irish beyond the decor and dark interior. The bartender was playing some euro pop on the sound system. Snacks were offered - mostly bread rolls, small sandwiches, and cuts off some oblong pizzas. We sampled a few of the latter to go with our beers. (They were OK.) As for the volleyball, the USA got spanked. Thankfully no celebration from the other side; most of the other patrons were either Americans or Brits. And the Italian bartender didn't seem to care. It's not clear why so many previous patrons have awarded a full 5 stars for SL. (Vacation glee?) For us it met a basic need but was priced high for tourists. I'll give them three stars, plus one extra for offering the game.

Played nothing but American music while we were here. Mostly 90s grunge and classic rock. Right up my alley! They have a full bar and can make pretty much anything you want. The taps are flowing with authentic Italian beers! Overall, I had fun and would recommend it.

Plenty of table outside to watch the world go by - mostly pretty full, but there are always some guests coming and going. A quick wait does the trick. Got a good table and ordered our Cicchetti inside. They do table service here, so you won't carry your Cicchetti out on your own. A nice little service, not even coperto is charged. Despite being a very busy place, the waiting staff does a great job. Got some cicchetti with sardines, radicchio, bacalau/cream, bacalau with sour onions and raisins and also shrimp with sour onions and raisins. The latter two sound adventerous, but were excellent. A fantastic combination of flavors. Sweet and sour. All cicchetti were really tasty, nice combinations, very creative. Ingredients of high quality. The white wine went well with them. Had also some meatballs with. Decent, but not great. But the cicchetti definitely were. Prices are fair as well. Surely must-visit if you're into cicchetti (and wine). Nice place, nice setting. Surely we'll be back.

I got the codfish, octopus, squid, and ham cicchettis - all of which were delicious! The codfish was a classic, and a classic done so well. It was so creamy and smooth but flavorful without being too fishy either - loved it! The octopus was served on top of some hummus and was interesting, while the ham one was a classic. The squid was really good too, as it was warm and cooked in a tomato sauce - so flavorful! We really enjoyed sampling a variety of them and I can definitely see the appeal of these in Venice!
