Trout dinner

Yummo. I had the trout. Also, salmon, meatloaf chicken. All delicious. And I loved my drink. Vanderbilt martini is a must.

We went for Brunch with some friends. Great food, beautiful dining room, great service! A good breakfast place for sure!

Adorable, hip, friendly, and tasty. Corner Kitchen is oozing with local charm and flair. Located inside of an old house, you'll feel comfortable dining in the front room, atrium, upstairs or the covered patio. I feel like this is kind of a place to be seen. The menu is Southern creative. We started with the biscuits and gravy appetizer which might have been a mistake because I was almost too full for my entree after sampling it. The signature gravy was heavenly! We scooped it up with our forks when we ran out of biscuit. The coffee is excellent and we all enjoyed the fresh squeezed juice. (Those are important touches for breakfast.) the service is super friendly. Maybe could use a more extensive child's menu. My older son eats like a little adult but my younger kid is a typical "kid" eater. Although he loved his waffles and the picture provided for coloring. If I lived in this neighborhood, I'd be walking down here all the time.

Some history

Our first meal in Asheville, which was very conveniently located just minutes away from the Grand Bohemian. Biltmore Village is pretty sleepy so didn't see many other options to eat besides this, but it was pretty good. We had a 7:30pm Sunday reservation and asked if we could sit on the patio since it was a gorgeous night. We had to wait about 5-10 min for a patio table, but no biggie. The service was great and our waiter was very attentive. And the food came out pretty fast as well. After ordering some wine we started with a cup of gazpacho. My husband really liked it, but i found it a little spicy. However, I really enjoyed the rest of our meal which was a meat and cheese app and pecan crusted trout. My husband and I split both and cleaned our plates. While dessert was tempting we had eaten a lot of candy on our drive to Asheville so decided to skip it. Overall, it was a nice first casual meal and we didn't even have to get dressed up which was nice after a long car ride. It looks like they have a great brunch too so we may be back this week to check it out!

Asheville is known for their food scene and it's difficult to gauge which restaurants to try during your visit!! I am so proud of my partner for picking this place because I love eating hearty for breakfast! The Steak Benedict was delicious, I recommend it because the flavor of the steak was noticeable even through the sauce and the portion is quite generous and just overall excellent! My partner ordered homemade corned beef and it was massive!! We ordered cocktails of Bloody Mary that was well garnished & ordered their seasonal special of beet cocktail and just one glass was enough, it had such a refreshing taste! I highly recommend and excellent service with multiple servers helping, we had a main server that was great and we had someone fill our glasses and someone else take our empty plates out of the way!

I was staying at a hotel in the Biltmore Village near The Corner Kitchen, and the reviews caught my eye. I am so glad we decided to go there for dinner. It was elevated Southern cuisine, and we enjoyed it enough that we may go back before leaving the area. The restaurant has a comfortable feel -- upscale, but not stuffy. The service was excellent. The servers were personable and attentive without hovering. At one point, I accidentally dropped my napkin, and our server immediately brought me another one. Our water glasses were continually refilled, and our server checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. My partner and I liked so many things on the menu that we knew ordering soup, salad, an appetizer, and entrées would be too much. We told our server we were sharing, and for most of the courses, they divided the portions and brought them out on separate plates. That was another small touch that showed they were paying attention to detail. There wasn't anything we had that we wouldn't order again. We started with the seasonal soup, which was a tomato bisque, followed by the strawberry and feta salad. The country ham board was excellent and actually had me looking for Lusty Monk mustard the next day. For our main entrée, we shared the shrimp and grits, which was also delicious. Great food, thoughtful service, and a comfortable upscale atmosphere. This was the best meals we had in the area.

Never miss this restaurant! There's nothing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend! The service is on point and the ambiance is fabulous! They've rebuilt this gem better than before! Love the new look and the menu is perfection! Keep it up!

Outstanding! The best meals of our entire trip! Service was good and the food and portions were amazing! Give them a try - they went through a lot to rebuild after Hurricane Helena. You won't be disappointed.

Corner Kitchen has been a special dining location for my family for years. The staff is always incredibly personable, friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is outstanding. The dishes are delicious. There is a focus on working with local vendors. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. There are 2 levels of dining space and a cute outdoor area. Make sure to visit the restroom where some snarky signs are sure to make you smile! When Hurricane Helene hit, Biltmore Village (where Corner Kitchen resides) was heavily business. Sadly, there are several businesses who haven't reopened and many who never will. Being an lifelong Asheville resident, seeing the damage brought by the storm and flooding has been heartbreaking. I was so excited to see Corner Kitchen opened back I highly recommend dining at Corner Kitchen. The menu has a great mix of sweet and savory. The brunch items are our favorites! Make sure to get a biscuit and jam no matter what you order!

Josh is the best server we have ever encountered. Truly. And that's not even discussing the food. Ok where to begin? The best falafel (a daily Benedict special) and that's saying something given I've eaten falafels in Israel, Turkey and NYC. The bed of arugula and hollondaise sauce was chef's kiss. Then there's the side dish of the feta potato salad. OMG! The server called the chef "young, hungry, and polished..." and truly I agree. My honey is a meat and potatoe dude and the burger he had was sumptuous. A hint of horseradish (he thinks) with the smoky bacon and perfect seasoned fries. In summary... total gastronomic taste gasm. We will be back. Many times. This is what makes Asheville worth the trip.

Food and service were both good , great little place surrounded by tiny boutique shops . We booked in advance just incase it was busy, but there was plenty of sitting inside , outside and upstairs. Would surly recommend trying it , loved the Boozy French toast.

Bourbon Bread Pudding w/ icecream & raspberry compote & pecans

The staff were ALL so helpful when I stopped in w/o a reservation. I had a nice table on the patio, an excellent chenin blanc and a delicious bourbon bread pudding. Although I cannot review the other dishes, what I saw & heard from diners was all positive. Considering that the Village area is still in recovery, this is quite a GEM there. My dessert was huge & perfect, I rarely find such an excellent chenin blanc and all in all it was the perfect top-off to a spring evening

Brunch special

Had the best brunch at Corner Kitchen! Our server Josh was phenomenal and the food as well. Highly recommend their current special, the corned beef hash, grits and of course mimosas! Would be a treat to dine here again.

Overpriced for the quality of the food and the cooking. Steak should have been sold at a third of the price and the fish was burnt.

I tried the liquid truffle drink, and it was delicious--super rich and smooth. They also have a great display of gelato and pastries that looked incredible. Even with the queue at the counter, there was plenty of seating space to sit down and enjoy your treat. Definitely a great spot if you're looking for high-quality chocolate or a nice evening dessert. It felt much more like a small tasting or shot-size cup. I don't mind paying a premium for something special, but there needs to be some reasonable relationship between the price and what you're actually receiving. At $8 each, I expected an actual cup of hot chocolate, not a few sips. It unfortunately came across as unnecessarily stingy, especially for something as simple and comforting as hot chocolate. A more generous serving -- or at the very least making the unusually small size clear before ordering -- would make a huge difference. The hot chocolate itself may is truly lovely, but at this portion and price, I wouldn't order it again. Bummer.
