It has become my go to spot. I have never left here unsatisfied, whether it's leaving tipsy or with a full stomach...or both! Nice changes to the interior and changes to the menu. The beer selection is pretty nice as well, and the owner, Luis, informed me that they're going to keep expanding their beer selection. First time here, I'm unsure if this is the norm or if they were just short staff. When we walked in, we weren't greeted just asked how many in my party. There was no hello, no thank you for coming, just asked how many in your party. When the waitress was taking our orders, normally, my experience has been that they go around asking what each person wants to order. Our waitress asked, 'what are you having,' and after the first person finished speaking, she would say, 'is that it' and not ask the next person what they would like. She seemed ready to bolt and move on to the next task. I thought that was odd. When the food finally came out, it came out in stages. My mom's salad came out first, then 20 minutes later my son got his hamburger, another few minutes passed then I got my food, more minutes passed, and my nephew received his fettuccine alfredo. We were only provided with two sets of utensils; we needed four. Our plates were picked up; we were never asked if we wanted anything else or if we liked the food. We ended up going for some ice cream afterward, we might have ordered something there, but the opportunity was not provided. When we left, there was no, thank you for coming. During the whole visit, there was little interaction with the staff. If you look at my other ratings, I'm an easy customer to please. Typically, I rate high, but I can't do that here. I heard about this place through a co-worker so I decided to give it a try after looking at all the pictures on yelp of their Micheladas. We came here on Tuesday and it was a little busy with a couple tables filled with people and a few tables that needed to be cleaned up. The second we opened the doors, we were told to sit wherever we like so we chose to sit in the back. We were brought menus as well and asked what we would like to drink. I ordered a Michelada with a slider and 2 orders of bacon wrapped shrimp and partner in crime ordered the hamburger with fries plate and a Modela. I really had such high hopes for this place and I was really looking forward to it but was left feeling very disappointed by the time I left. It's unfortunate that I have to leave a 2 star but the only time our waitress came to our table was to take our order and give us our plates. We both had just about empty drinks when the waitress brought our food to our table and I thought we would be asked if we wanted another drink but both servers came and dropped off the plates without ever asking if there was anything else we needed. We had to flag our waitress down to get another drink, to get a box and finally I decided to walk to the cashier to pay and check out as we had been here sitting and waiting for a waitress that never is going to come as I seen another table flagging her down for there check as well when at this time, there is absolutely no one here but 2 tables. In addition to horrible service, I went to the restroom to find the trash can over flowing and no toilet paper to which I had to use paper towels. It was worth the try but with these types of prices, I would expect somewhat decent service and a cleaner restaurant. read more

My friend and I came across this place on Instagram. Being only a 15 minute drive away, naturally we had to check it out. We visited on a Friday night and were sat right away which is surprising because typically everyone is out and about during the weekend, I was expecting a wait. The menu is very easy to navigate through, they have just the right amount of food offerings. Our server was very attentive, she was very friendly and got our waters and our orders were placed in no time. We started off by ordering the mac-n-cheese poppers 4pc which come infused with beef chinks and bell peppers. I honestly cant think of any better way to start a meal. I love fried ma & cheese balls, and the one made at the Corner joint are next level. They also come with a great dipping sauce for added flavor. Just as we finished the last appetizer bite, our order comes out, we orders an al pastor burger, cheese burger, and a mexican pizza to share. Everything was loaded with flavor. My favorite of them all was the al pastor burger. The patty was was infused with marinated pork and also came with a grilled pineapple. Unfortunately we didnt order and brews to go with our food but we saw some of the micheladas at the other tables, they looked so good. So ill definitely try it next visit. Started with a michelada with all the trimmings it was amazing, al pastor slider was amazing, cheeseburger slider legit, the bacon wrapped shrimp ok, and the fried mac n chesse bland! Me and my friend shared and got a main course the brisket dinner was terrible bland, dry, and just no flavor. Honestly this place deserves the highest rating and more. Came in at noon on a Sunday and surprisingly we were seated immediately. Their servers are round the clock coming over to offer service. The food came out shirt after ordering and very fresh and tasty. They are not cooking up cheap food either. Pizza wings and sliders are packed with flavor. I've lived in Hawthorne and Lawndale for most of my life time. And I finally decided to check this place out! Staff is super friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken pesto panini with fries, while my husband ordered the diablito brisk panini with the house salad. I enjoyed my food 100000%. My husband felt that the panini was missing some spiciness to it since it's called the diablito panini. The olives on the salad was over powering. Prices were perfect for the food portions.
