Definitely found a local gem. Got there around 12:30 right before lunch rush hour. Staff were super friendly and was a great help for a first timer. I ordered the cowboy and the chili cheese fries. We both had Cowboy turkey burgers and the meat actually had flavor, the bun was to-die and everything melded perfectly. I couldn't even finish mine, and that's a rare problem for me. I got the cowboy burger, great flavor and the bun was awesome. My only negative was the BBQ sauce didn't have much flavor. I went with the onion rings which were crispy and fried perfectly. It's a gourmet burger for $7.99, great deal. My wife got the classic which I thought was better than the cowboy. The fries were also cooked to perfection, no soggy fries here. What a burger! Best I've had so far. My favorite is the PoBoy. Chicken salads could use a little work on the chicken but good tasting overall. Kids love the chicken tenders w/ fries. This place serves delicious burger. The only downfall is the price. The buns are uniquely sweet and the patty meat is top notch. The staff is friendly, and they aren't like the type of people who hate/dislike their job. I usually get the chili cheese burger, bleu boy, or the breakfast burger. I got the bacon cheeseburger, Southwest burger and chili cheese fries. I was surprised to find my total at almost $25 with only 3 items, a bit overpriced for a local burger joint. The meat was bland. The fries were bland. The onion rings were bland. The soda was bland. We were in a rush to grab a quick bite before a long night shift and the bite was neither quick, filling, satisfying, or delicious. I honestly felt that I had eaten a stack of bread and meat with onions. I'll give it another chance, but not any time soon. The jalapeño ranch was good but it didn't help with the meal or the flavor. I'm honestly surprised at how they managed to get a soda to feel like I was drinking water. The fact that I could taste the jalapeño ranch but nothing else helped me realize It wasn't my tastebuds but rather the food. Hopefully it'll be better next time. read more

Hi. I wanted to share my experience with your restaurant in Lawdale. I talked with Monica, Eva and Noella over the phone and ordered 19 breakfast burritos and 5 other egg dishes. These ladies were so helpful and nice while helping me. I had to call theee times because I kept changing my orders. These ladies were more than happy to help me. I had such a great experience and I will share my experience with my coworkers here at Northrop Grumman. The next time I have a large order like this I will be contacting them. Came to LA for one night, our hotel near by showed this was the closest food place. Corner Burger didn't disappoint. Burger was well done with all fresh ingredients, fries nice and Krispy and the Oreo shake was really good. On top of all this the staff and I think he was the owner treat everyone really nice. I LOVE this place!!!! Everything that I've had been tasty. My favorite is the Classic Burger with Cheddar Cheese. The meat is flavorful and cooked to perfection; with the added trimmings it's the perfect burger. The Cowboy Burger is a great choice as well! I usually get a combo with onion rings while my daughter gets fries with her favorite dipping sauce. Also, their chili cheese fries are scrumptious. I've also had breakfast here which for sure won't disappoint you. I LOVE their breakfast burritos. Their two egg breakfast with your choice of meat and potatoes is also a hit. Trust me this food is delicious! I'm here at least once a week. The staff are friendly and ensure that your food is to your liking. Should there be a need for adjustments to your food they make it happen without any issue. During my most recent visit, the cashier that assisted me with my order was rather bland and seemed to be in a rush to complete my order. While you are now able to accumulate rewards based on the amount you spend, I was focused on entering my number when I realized that the cashier continuously inquired as to whether I wanted a drink, I informed her that I did not want a drink but that could've waited until the end of the transaction as I was not done with finalizing my order. Needless to say I informed her that her demand and tone were rather concerning, she acknowledged such but geesh, her tone could clearly run a valued customer away. I ordered two Classic Bacon Cheese Burger and added chili, usually there is an adequate amount of chili on the burger, however that was not the case this time around. The sanitation i would rate it a 4 because one of the men cooking didnt wear gloves when touching the food and didnt have any work attire. Customer service was amazing! I am so glad I get to write an update, seeing that I now work very close to this place too! The business has prospered since I first tried them, and they also now have more items on their menu. They have expanded their selections, and they now offer more salads, crepes, breakfast items, and smoothies. They have daily specials as well. My go-to order is the Chicken Caesar Salad. Oh my goodness. I don't usually rave about salads, but this one is ah-ma-zing. Huge serving, with lots of fresh-off-grill chicken and shaved parmesan. It's so good! Pair that with the Acai smoothie with soy, and you've got yourself an awesome lunch. This place gets packed, especially during lunch time so I highly recommend calling them and ordering for pick-up. If you work in Lawndale Plaza or City Hall, they actually give you a discount too ;) read more

This place is delicious and the staff are always so friendly. I usually get the breakfast burrito with the hot sauce and omg if you haven't tried their hot sauce DO IT ! It's so worth it. Five friends and I went there today for a lunch. I had a ($20) Groupon for four people and they gladly honored it, while two people paid full price for the lunch. We all had great burgers with fries and a drink. Everyone was so impressed with being asked how we wanted our burgers cooked. Very smart. Different people got different meats, such as veggie, turkey and beef. The buns were so soft and yummy. I got the devil burger and it was really good. We sat at the counter and it was a great way to chat with everyone since it is U shaped. If the weather was above 60 degrees we would have enjoyed the outside seating. Lots of street parking. No leftovers and plenty of smiling faces. The Groupon is one hell of deal. This is a really nice place and I would strongly urge others to try it if you lunch in the area. read more

This is the real deal for a great mom and pop burger, not a pretentious "let's call them gourmet and charge twice as much" gastro-burger douche palace (you know the kind of place I mean). I was craving a good burger and my fellow yelpers steered me right here! Take a look at everyone's local photos and you'll see exactly what enticed me to come! The burgers are huge with great toppings and lots of options. I wasn't super hungry so I just went with the classic burger and added bacon. My coworkers got the southwest burger and cowboy burger, and they both looked delicious. One also got the onion rings and they looked good too. They make your burger to order with nice thick fresh beef patties that start out close to 1/2" thick. I asked for mine medium rare and it was the perfect amount of pink inside. The bacon was thick and cooked great without being overly crispy. The buns have a darker color to them, like pretzel bread, but are super soft inside and have a nice fluffy texture that holds up to being soaked in condiments. All of the fixings were nice and fresh and just made a great solid down home burger. They also have a breakfast menu as well as several different crepes for dessert. The only negative was that the inside is super small and with any kind of a line it is tough to navigate or even turn around (not their fault for being popular though!) We came before noon on Friday and didn't wait in line, and got the last one of 4 tables outside, but by the time we were eating, the line was out the door. The location is nice, in a new building right across the street from the library, with everything looking very park-like around. The parking is just street and can be a little tricky to find close. read more
