An amazing building, though laid out inside differently than expected. House was divided into small section with three mai. Rooms on first floor and another with a bar and seating. I ate in the "bricked wall" room. Seating wasn't tight, but tables were close to each other and one very loud guest's voice reverberated through the entire room. His departure was eagerly awaited. The service was top notch. The waitress provided excellent recommendations and was good at checking in. The food was equally good, though the steak was not very tender. The scalloped potatoes were better than my mom's! We had no room for dessert. Pricing was on the higher end, but for the quality and ambience it was worth it. Reservations are recommended. read more

The restaurant is unique and fun to visit, however the quality of the food does not match the price. For $150, we got a bottle of wine, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. The stuffed mushrooms we got were great, unfortunately this was the only good thing about our meal. The lamb I ordered was $50 and was the chewiest, toughest lamb I have ever had (prepared medium rare), I was unable to eat it. The potato preparation was dry and the vegetables tasted microwaved. My partner had the porterhouse steak that was over cooked and very tough. We had the house potatoes, which were au gratin potatoes that were not made from scratch, more like they were frozen. Food was good ambiance was nice but the menu for petite filet a scampi is misleading. Description says as scampi included and $36 add surf and turf for $52 turf is normally lobster their normal menu (this was New Years Eve) has surf and turf as a pound of crab legs or lobster at $50. So why would we expect the turf in this case to be 3 shrimp. Another couple just before us had the same issue on check out when discussing with manger all he says is that's what you get when you let the chef write the menu. I'll not be back. read more

We ate here last night for my husband's birthday and were very happy with the experience. I had the corkscrew trio and it was delicious. The serving size was very generous and the scallops and risotto were cooked perfectly. My husband had the sweet Georgia pork chops and they were fork-tender and the scalloped potatoes were so good I kept eating them off his plate. We also ordered a bottle of Chardonnay which I thought was pretty well priced. Ambiance of this place is super cool in an old house and they kept a lot of the character. read more

Took the family to Corkscrew this evening for dinner. We called ahead and upon arrival, it wasn't very busy so we were seated immediately. Our waitress arrived and provided menus and time to review them. She returned and we placed our drink requests, which included a Downeast Blackberry Cider for me and champagne for my wife. I was between fish and a salad. I decided to go with fish - Lake Erie Perch to be exact. My wife requested chicken parmesan and my daughter, chicken alfredo. All of our dinners were served with salad. We also requested some chicken potstickers as an appetizer. Our waitress delivered some hot rolls, which were very tasty. My salad was delicious. It was obvious that they make their dressings in house because they too were delicious. A short while later, dinner was served. My perch looked like giant fish sticks, but they were hot, crispy, and very tasty, especially when dipped in the house made tartar sauce. My green beans were stellar and the potatoes were just okay. My wife's chicken parm was delicious too and it was a large portion. My daughter enjoyed her chicken alfredo. The meal was very good and the service was even better. We'll visit again. read more

We were there on a Wednesday evening and it looked like every table was taken. The salad was good. Not particularly unusual, but fresh and tasty. I had Pasta Newburg which was shrimp, scallops and crab meat with linguini and a sauce. Very tasty and filling. It was accompanied by warm biscuits. My wife had salmon with au gratin potatoes that she liked. The prices were reasonable as well. This was a very positive experience. read more

Finally got around to trying this place after years of driving by and saying that we needed to stop in. It was everything that I had hoped for and more. It's a great location in a cool old house. It's decorated nicely from what I saw. My husband and I sat at the bar to drool over the incredible whiskey selection so we didn't get to look around or check out the dining room. But let me get back to the bar and, let me tell you, it is such an incredible whiskey selection. They also charge very fair prices for pours. The bartenders were incredibly friendly- and so were some of the regulars that were sitting around the bar. My husband and I got a few pours and split an appetizer- the spinach and artichoke dip (which was good, not great) and the NY Strip Steak (which was excellent). Can't wait to return! A beautiful place to enjoy a delicious dinner! The staff greet you at the door, with a smile. My wife and I went on a Saturday and had a 7:30 pm reservation. It was very busy, so reservations are a must. We were seated, upstairs, in a room. Which had about 4 tables in it. It had 2 bigger tables, for 4-6 people, and 2 other 2 person tables. There were a few rooms, like this, on the 2nd floor. Lindsey was our server and she was pleasant, helpful, and efficient! We started off with a glass of their house Shiraz. It was a very good wine and we both enjoyed it! My wife ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli and said it was very good! She did say, be forewarned, that it's on the sweeter side, but she really enjoyed it! I had the Pork Chops! Excellent meal! The pork chops are sous vide and then char grilled! Juicy and savory! Supposedly it is haunted upstairs but the server said she had worked there 7 years without experiencing any of that. Our server was Misty who was experienced, friendly and attentive. They had a special Valentines dinner for 2 for $69. You share a salad and a dessert and each person gets an entree. I had salmon and my wife had a steak--the latter was larger than I would have expected. One of our party had the lobster tails--it also was a surprisingly generous serving.
