I rent an apartment in a building in Washington Heights with a great super. And from the moment I spoke to a representative of All About Glass on the phone through today's visit to fix several windows my experience has been terrific. Everyone I connected with was courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Tito and his new partner came in and expertly fixed the mechanisms on 4 large windows that seriously needed adjustments. They were a pleasure to chat with as the work was being done, mindful of wearing their masks, and there was no mess after they left. SO much gratitude!!

This is, without question, the worst repair service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with…read more Our business door was out of fire code compliance and needed to be repaired urgently. We hired Artem and his team - a decision we regret. 1. They repeatedly no-showed. They kept promising to come take measurements and never showed up. I had to call multiple times just to get a response. They had to come twice to take measurements, which delayed the project by weeks. 2. They brought the wrong door. When they finally came to install, the door was too large - so instead of getting the right one, they carved into our wall to force it to fit. 3. The door had no lock. For a business! When I asked why, they had no answer. They had to return the next day to install a proper lock - which, by the way, is still not adequate. This delayed the project and disrupted our business operations. 4. They left our space damaged. Floors and walls were left with significant damage after they were done. 5. They installed the wrong hinges. The door required self-closing hinges to meet NY State Fire Code - the very code issue we hired them to fix. They failed to do even that. After all of this, they demanded full payment and became hostile when we pushed back. We now have to pay additional costs to fix the mess they created. We'd ask them to correct it themselves, but we will never work with them again.

My breakfast room window, which is next to the fire escape, has been broken since the day I moved into the apartment. The super tried to fix it over the 6 years that I've lived here; however, it remained broken and dangerous. Fortunately, Altin and Egli, who are employed by A&J, came today and fixed my window. They even went throughout the apartment, checking all of the other windows to make sure there were no other issues. Altin and Egli were kind, respectful, professional and efficient. Their boss, Reggie, who owns A&J called to check to make sure I was satisfied. A&J Window Repair is EXCELLENT. A must for anyone who has window repair issues. Dr. Ramona Brockett

I GAVE THEM MULTIPLE CHANCES. BIG MISTAKE…read more I normally give small businesses a lot of grace. In this case, I gave far too much. **5/9/26: UPDATE - SEE SCREENSHOT OF ILONA GUMENYUK'S 5/8/26 EMAIL CONFIRMING REGGIE ARRIVING TO DISTRIBUTE REFUNDS AND REPLACE MY SCREENS -- NONE OF WHICH HAPPENED. AND NOT A WORD FROM ANYONE.** I hired Reggie Villa / A&J Window and Glass to create custom window screens and a balcony screen solution for my apartment. Based on my recommendation, two neighbors also hired him and paid deposits as well. What followed was weeks of missed appointments, repeated promises to "check with the factory and call me back within the hour," long stretches of no communication, repeated promises that things would be ready "next week," and eventually requests for refunds that never materialized. As delays continued, Ilona Gumenyuk repeatedly communicated on the company's behalf regarding scheduling, refunds, and assurances that replacement materials and payments were forthcoming. When Reggie finally arrived to install my window screens, he showed up hours late with screens that were several inches too short and did not fit properly (see photo). Instead of acknowledging the issue, he attempted to explain the large visible gaps as intentional. One screen had to literally be hammered into place. Even after this, I still allowed myself to believe repeated assurances that properly fitted replacement screens and refunds were finally coming. They weren't. Since then, the two neighbors I referred have filed complaints with the Office of the New York State Attorney General Consumer Frauds Bureau, the Better Business Bureau, and local law enforcement. It is also worth noting that the company's Google Business Profile now appears as "Permanently Closed," despite the company continuing to communicate with customers and schedule supposed future work. As a result, customers can no longer post new Google reviews. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to read the prior detailed negative reviews carefully. I wish I had.

Shortly after he came to take measurement in June. Unfortunately due to resources shortage during pandemic, the sash and balances take 3 months to be available. Terrific experience from start to finish…read more I had a terrific experience with NYC Glass & Window Repair. Daria was a wonderful initial point person and stayed in touch throughout the process by phone and text. Vova came out for the initial assessment and measurements, and he was patient, kind, and really listened to what I needed. The initial estimate was more than I could afford, and I thought I'd have to contact several other companies for bids. Oliver worked with me to bring the price closer to my budget, and I was able to skip that exercise. I also decided to handle the glazing and weatherstripping myself. Michael and Ivan came to do the work, and they were thorough, quick, and resourceful. These are very old windows, and they encountered some obstacles along the way, but they figured things out and did an excellent job. They also cleaned up beautifully and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Everyone I dealt with was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The workmen's primary language is Ukrainian, so their English was sometimes limited, but this was easily handled because there was always someone in the office available to communicate with both of us in either Ukrainian or English. I've had plenty of experience with workmen whose first language isn't English, so this wasn't an issue for me. I also really appreciated the way the company combines technology with personal communication. Everything is handled efficiently, but you never feel like you're being left to deal with technology on your own. There was always a real person keeping in touch. The entire team is Ukrainian, which was particularly meaningful to me as an East Village resident and a Veselka old timer. I was very happy to support them. This is the way business should be done. Five stars without hesitation!
