I've been going to Cori's for about two years now and have been impressed with how easy it is to schedule my cat's grooming and how attentive the owner is to my requests for my cat Edna (I tend to do a lion cut for her every 3-6 months when I think her hair is getting too long). I also think their pricing is fair and the service is quick. read more

BEWARE!!!! This is the absolute WORST PET GROOMING PLACE IN THE WORLD!!! Dropped off my dog for grooming and not only did I get her back with an eye infection from un-sanitized tools but the trashy uneducated manager said she would not reimburse my vet bills of $113 even though it was their fault, she later cussed me out on the phone and hung up. Disgusting! If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

There should be a rating for OUTSTANDING. My dachsund is a client of Cori's Creative Grooming's team since 2018 (4 years). Cori (RIP), Jocelyn and Tuta always exceed my expectations with their knowledge, experience and sensitive handling of different breeds. They are accommodating, and my dog feels at ease with the team. He loves them! My dog looks gorgeous every time I pick him up from grooming: his ears, teeth, nails and fur, always impeccable. He struts out feeling and looking out of this world. We are infinitely grateful to all of you for your authenticity and hard work. You are an extension of our family. I happily leave my angel with you knowing that he is in THE BEST hands with each of you. THANK YOU! I would not go anywhere else or leave my baby with anyone else! We love you! read more

Took my dogs, Tank and Cooper here for the first time. The ladies were lovely to deal with and very understanding. They really aim to please. My pups came out looking like a $1000 bucks. I spoke with the owner, Cori for a bit. She was very informative about show breeds and suggested a few breeders and rescues. She has two GORGEOUS Poodles who she grooms herself and presents them in shows. This lady is the real deal, I will certainly be back. At first I thought it was somewhat pricey, but you're paying for quality groomers and quality customer service. read more

PLEASE, PEOPLE DO NOT PUT YOUR PETS IN DANGER BY TAKING THEM HERE!!!!! I had taken my cat here twice before, and didn't really have any issues, but felt a little put off by Cori's attitude. I couldn't find anywhere else that will shave my kitty's super long hair, so I took her back a third time. After my experience I would rather continue to vacuum every day that ever go back here. I dropped my cat off in the morning and was told she would be ready by 4:30-5pm. I had a doctor appointment at 3:30 so I figured it would be perfect timing. It turned out there was construction and an accident on my way back so I didn't get there until 5:45. I didn't get a call from the salon, so I figured it was no big deal and they were still open. When I arrived, the lights were off, the door was locked and I peeked through the window to see my cat sitting in her kennel on the counter with her food/water bowl flipped over....EMPTY! This lady left the building (without calling me) with a live animal stranded without food or water! I called her cell phone and left a message expressing my apologies that I was late, but that I was worried about my cat being left in a kennel without water and to please return my call. She eventually called me back, bitching me out that she stayed there 20 minutes after close, waiting for me, and I didn't come so she left. Clearly she was resentfully leaving my cat in her little kennel instead of in one of the roomier cages. The fact that I SUPPLIED a water bowl and it was left empty is what really irks me. I sucked it up and politely said "I'm really sorry, I can't control the traffic and I got here as soon as I could-" she cut me off "Well my problem is that I have a class tonight that is already paid for and now YOU are going to make me miss it"! At that point I shut down - there is NO excuse to close your business and leave someones pet unattended with no water, and no intention on checking on it... without even calling the owner to let them know your plans. Not to mention, I am 38 weeks pregnant and can only fathom what would have happened if I had gone into labor and was completely unable to pick up my cat for a few days. Would she take her to the humane society? Would she have called me? Would she have at the very least given her water? I hope that a situation like this will never occur again, but the only way to be sure it doesn't happen to YOUR pet is to not take her to this salon! I hope you all will learn from my mistake! read more

To start off, I took my miniature pinscher to get her nails trimmed late in the afternoon. The woman who answered the phone was nice and accommodating. The woman was gentle with my dog and did a great job on her nails and she was "kind." That is the only reason I will give two stars to this company. My experience, however, was downright terrible. The moment I walked in, I joined a conversation that the owner was having with another customer about her show dogs. She seemed a bit pretentious but I brushed it off and started talking to the other customer about her dog. The owner cut in asking me what kind of breed my dog was, I replied saying she was a miniature pinscher, at which point she responded with a doubtful face and in a nice manner, condescendingly asked if that's what it said on "her papers." At this point I'm thinking to myself, this woman has got to be freaking kidding me. She basically went on telling me that my dog looked nothing like a miniature pinscher and heres a direct quote from her, "I guess some people are just willing to pay more money for a higher breed of dog, like my poodle." HERES THE PART THAT IS PROBABLY WORSE THAN THE REST. The woman that had been there already when I arrived, walked out of the store after paying, and the owner turned to me red faced and began IMMEDIATELY bad mouthing the way the woman cared for her animal. She went off about how the woman kept her dog in a condo and had to use the bathroom on a balcony and that the woman had no idea what she was doing. WHETHER THAT WAS TRUE OR NOT, an owner should know to NEVER talk about clients in a negative way to other clients. It is downright unprofessional. It was hard to keep my cool at this point as she walked over to pick up my dog to trim her nails, and as she picked her up, this woman had the nerve to say, "she's a little chubby." She went on about how she was only used to grooming "show dogs" and how the miniature pinschers she grooms were a lot smaller than my dog. Here I am bubbling up with anger watching this woman cut my dogs nails. I couldn't believe that I was paying this woman, whether its $5.00 or $100, to stand there and insult my dog. Finally, after she was finished, the woman was able to muster up a few 'look how cute you are' compliments to my dog, as she brought her over to me. As if everything that she had said already wasn't enough, as I am reaching for my credit card to pay her, the woman bends down to pick up a show dog "dictionary" of sorts to search for the miniature pinscher. I would probably say the best part of my experience was her finding the page and having the picture that showed up look EXACTLY LIKE MY DOG. She did say, "oh wow, I had no idea. Looks like I was wrong," but at this point, that wasn't going to fix anything. I walked out of there angry and I am never going back. read more

Horrendous for cats. Please search elsewhere to get your cat groomed. I've taken my Himalayan cat here twice and both times she has been turned into me looking terrible. The first time I asked for a lion cut. This must have been the worst lion cut I had ever seen. She had patches all over and the cut was not even. I brought her home and my husband was in shock at the terrible job they did. He asked me to never take her back. Unfortunately, I'm the type of person that gives a second chance and the benefit of the doubt. I took my cat back months later for a second cut. This time I had asked for her to be completely shaven since I knew they sucked at lion cuts. The assistant who answered my voice message was very accommodating and friendly saying I can bring my cat in the following day. When I called to schedule my appointment, the owner answered and she was the total opposite of her assistant--cold, not customer oriented, and dry. So I take my cat hoping that a complete shave would be done and easy. WRONG!!! I had to pick up my cat before 6pm. I was on a business call since 3:30PM and the call ended at 5:45PM. I had forgotten to pick up my cat after that since I was all worked up with a business call gone wrong. You would think the owner would call to tell me, "Hey, your kitty is here. Please don't forget to pick her up." Yeah right. No courtesy call. I didn't realize I had left my kitty there until 9:00PM. I felt horrible about it, but there was nothing I could do. The following day, I'm up by 6:00AM. I receive a call at 6:45AM from the owner telling me that I had left my cat overnight. I told her I would be there by 7:15AM to pick her up. I get there at 7:10AM and the owner starts small talk with me asking what happened and I explained to her about my call. As she is putting my cat into the pet taxi, she tells me that an additional $20 would have to be charged since the cat was left overnight. I was in SHOCK when she told me this for the following reasons: (a) no where in the SHOP does it state that there is a $20 overnight fee, (b) I didn't receive a call the day before to remind me to pick up my cat, AND (c) she waited until the very next morning to make that courtesy call knowing that she was going to make an extra $20. WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS PRACTICE IS THAT??? WARNING TO CAT OWNERS: Please do not take your cat here. I have attached pictures of the horrible cut they gave my cat. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. That's it. Never again! read more

Wonderful! My little pup is a rescue, and she has a little anxiety (okay, a TON of anxiety) about cages so I was super hesitant to bring her to a groomer that would stick her in a cage while she awaited her turn. Cori's was kind and understanding when I voiced my concerns on my first phone call... at first the woman seemed a bit annoyed that my dog was 6 months old and had never been groomed, but I explained she was bathed regularly, well socialized with dogs and people, and simply hadn't needed a haircut yet. I think she was mostly afraid I'd have a nasty little dog who would bite people, which isn't at all the case - I was just worried about her freaking out in a cage! As soon as we walked in, Sasha (my 12-lbs dachshund terrier mutt) was adored by all the women working there. They were sweet to her, and kindly put her in a pen instead of a cage, which makes her much less anxious. When we picked her up, she was smiling and happy - clearly not traumatized by the process! She even pulled on the leash to go back in to the woman behind the counter. They were obviously very sweet to my dog! Her haircut was perfect, and they left her puffy tail and ears just the way I asked. They also gave her a flea bath since I had pointed out she had been having a few itches recently. The cost for my puppy was so cheap, and they didn't even increase the cost for the flea bath! We'll be taking her back next week to get her summer shave. read more

Bella is a standard white Poodle. She is the light in our lives and her grooming is quite important. I tried all of the groomers close to my home....but alas even though they say they do poodles.....they don't! Like a men's barber might say "yes" if asked if he does women's hair...but barbers really don't. Bella has had an 'every-other week' standing appointment with Cori and Josie for several years and even though I have to drive from NE Miami to the Gables....it is worth every bit of it. Not only do they do the best job around, but Cori seems to have the answers, and/or suggestions to all my questions and problems raising this wonderful dog. Thanks for being there, Cori. peace, jere miles read more

They did exactly the opposite of what I asked them to do. I asked them NOT to cut the top of my yorkies's hair that I have been growing out for a few years after my dog was butchered by another groomer. Now Cori's Grooming went and f**cked it all up again. He looks like he is wearing a toupé. He looks absurd. His body is cut unevenly throughout, and my other yorkie's body is cut unevenly throughout. Some areas were not trimmed at all. These people should not be in the grooming business. They are terrible and have no idea what they are doing. When my husband and I came to pick them up, my yorkies were clearly PETRIFIED by them. They do not behave this way with their normal groomers. The woman tried to play it off by making a joke that they had put them in the puppy torture machine. I feel so guilty for leaving them in their care. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GROOMER. If you care about your furbaby in the least bit, you will do right by them and FIND ANOTHER GROOMER. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! read more

They're so good at what they do and so kind, it never ceases to amaze me how many cats I see there. I always chuckle at the thought that short hair cats get groomed.. I've been taking my miniature poodle to Cori for almost 2 years now. At 1st I was hesitant to take Trigga there b/c I don't ever put him in a crate so I wasn't sure how'd he react to having to wait in one for his turn. She gave the option of putting him in a pen instead. My 1st few times I was just getting my poodle a basic cut. Until one day one of Cori's show poodles was there & I luved his cut. Cori then pulled out a book filled with several different styles. She was even honest enough to tell me that some styles might not look as good on my dog because he's a miniature. Once I was running late because I was stuck in traffic so I called to let her know & she waited after hours until I finally arrived. The entire staff is absolutely amazing & they always are so happy to see my dog. I get TONS of compliments on how well maintained my poodle looks & that's all thanks to Cori & her staff. When I picked my dog up the other day he was in a crate happy & did tricks for Cori so she'd give him a treat. Last but not least if Cori says your dog will be ready at a certain time, your dog will be ready. They only time she calls you is if the time changes. She doesn't call to let u know that your dog or cat is ready. That doesn't bother me b/c my dog is like my child. If she tells me to come at a certain time I'll be there & if I'm running late I have common sense as well as courtesy to call. I read a review where a lady was running late but didn't even call but was made at Cori for leaving. Clearly that lady doesn't know how to deal with people read more

I went to Cori's Creative Grooming for the first time today and was very pleased. I was late for my appointment (the map on this Yelp site is wrong!) and when I called I was told no problem. The owner (which is the lady that answers the phone) is horrendous. Every time I call the store it is booked and they "won't take anymore dogs." I called at 11:13 am and she said they stopped taking appointments at 11 am. CAN ANYONE SAY RETARDED BUSINESS OWNER??! As a business owner myself, I am appalled at her customer service. Seriously?! 13 Minutes? And on top of that, this is the second time I have called. Last weekend I called to get my miniature doxie bathed and the same thing happened. She told me she had no appointments and it was 1 pm on a Saturday. She was super rude and non-accommodating. The prices are dirt cheap and that is the only reason I called the second time. However, based on my experience the first time, it was enough for me to not give them business. AND AFTER READING SOME OF THE REVIEWS BELOW! DEFINITELY NOT TAKING MY DOG THERE! I don't even know how the place is still open with the way she runs her business. ONE WORD= HORRIBLE. I would give my rating zero stars if yelp let me! read more
