I hired him through Networks and paid half dollar amount of the discussed project upfront  on 6/1/21. He told me he wanted to get the job we agreed on done within two days. Today is 7/26/21 - two month later - and he did not even finish half of the discussed work. Many times he told me to be at my house to continue the project and he did not only not show up, but he did not even tell me he would not come,- he just did not show up. So many times I had arranged my schedule to be at the job site and then he would just not appear. Strangely he texted me often about his whereabouts though, that he "came home late, will be driving out tonight, just got back last night...car accident, a relative passed away..."  stuff that I am really not happy about to be text - harassed with and not interested to know about, - even about his wife's medical condition he told me,- I find him extremely unprofessional. He told me he would take the trash out of the backyard after every day of work, because it would not be nice to do otherwise, but Paul left the trash ( his plastic drinking cups with straws in them, empty water bottles in our back yard on the ground, rocks and cement pieces ) from a job left half undone in our backyard for nineteen!! days. The trash laying there for so long caused a few big brown holes in our green grass. Network asked me to write a review at a time by which the project should have been finished. So I had written a one star review a few weeks in after Paul had collected half of the dollar amount for the entire job but not really gotten much done yet. A few days later he called me at 6:00am! very upset about the review although everything in it had been nothing but the truth. He did not take the responsibility for his actions at all. I decided to delete the review in order to give him a second chance. That had been a bad idea, because his behavior got even worse. After I told him very friendly that I did not want to receive anymore personal texts about his whereabouts, but just about work related things, he all over sudden informed me that he did not want to do a certain job we had agreed on, and parts of that job, he even tried to delegate to me. Not a man of his word, not reliable, not respectful, unfortunately not taking responsibility for his own actions. I should have seen it coming when he rang my doorbell 30 minutes before our first appointment, informing me he was here earlier, because he was in the area, laughing insecurely. It had been a very unpleasant experience to me, but I admit I am partly responsible, because I continued to trust him.

I received a response from Phil almost right away asking me if he could swing by. He sent me an estimate shortly after he stopped by and it was very reasonable! Communication with Phil during the entire process was easy and he was very responsive. The crew was timely, very efficient and cleaned up the area after they were done. During his first service , he charged all of us "first time cleanup" price and said subsequent months would be at xyz rate. He stopped responding to ALL of us. I reduced my 5 stars to 1 star... because all these people that I referred him to paid extra for the first time cleaning assuming he will show up for monthly maintenance regularly. Also - we hired him to remove weeds and add spaghetti lines to some pots. But he took pictures of my backyard (pool and travertine) and my friends backyards and posted them on his page as though it is his work. I asked him to remove the photos and he didnot.
