I love this Yoga studio! It got me into a practice that made me feel so great. I love the fact that it is warm but not overpowering hot like some bikram studios. The instructors are all well trained and caring. They are so kind and thoughtful of your practice. Even if no one else shows up, they will give you a full class and help you work on your positions. The facility is GREAT! Everything you need in the locker room and it makes you feel comfortable. They sell yoga clothes too. Of course some are pretty expensive but most of the time they have sales and you can get some really great stuff. I think this is a really great introduction to yoga in a caring environment. They will help you build your practice. Okay, not a terrible place if you are experienced but oftentimes people get into their own rhythms and have a hard time changing styles. The C2 class is great for intermediate students. I know that some people feel this is a "cheap" or "corporate" way to approach yoga but how is that any different from the yoga classes at gyms. I feel like each Corepower has it's own feel and atmosphere. The teachers are different at each location and that gives a nice variety. But you know the training is pretty consistent. Frankly, I won't argue with a healthful exercise that encourages people who aren't comfortable working out to do something good for their bodies! read more

Core Power is the best yoga studio in Colorado!! I am pretty particular about the level of heat and humidity that is in the room and they do a great job. I look forward to the mornings I get to practice here. I am a yoga instructor at a different gym but absolutely have to come here for my own personal practice. They do a good job of keeping the studio clean and neat. My favorite part about Core Power in Broomfield is that at the end of each class they give you a wet rag that has lemon-lavender scent in it to put on your face during Savasana. I love it!!! If you are thinking about trying a yoga class you need to try Core Power. It will be worth your time. read more

Let me start by sayings that I love CorePower yoga except this studio ! Worse experience in 10yrs or practicing . The instructor was 5 min late , girl next to me was on her phone , people being me were talking and some lady was pretty much talking over the instructor the whole time showing her teen daughter how to do the poses oh and yeah she wasn't even showing her the right way... never going back! I did like this studio, but for me it felt a little bit too pseudo-spiritual. I have practiced with many yogis and people where yoga is their life, their everything. Here, it was a bit more of a lot of people wanting to get a work out, which is of course an honorable thing, but it can be a bit disingenuous when it's under the guise that they're so spiritual. I guess this is getting too theoretical, but I think everyone can appreciate yoga and incorporate it into their lives, but I just got a weird feeling that everyone was being very "super yogi" instead of just exuding that and it being authentic. Although, I did get a good workout from this studio and their various classes and their sequencing is really great. I tried CorePower 2 and Hot Fusion. Hot Fusion has some Traditional Hot postures in it, but with flow and other downdog-centric postures. CorePower 2 definitely had me breathing hard, sweating like crazy, and sometimes wishing for it to be over, but this class really helped expand my practice and took me out of my comfort zone. About the studio facilities: really nice! Locker rooms for men and women. Two showers and two bathroom stalls in the women's. I like that the faucets are automatic and they provide a hair dryer and a sort of vanity station if you have to get ready after class. The crowd was mainly suburban women, but it is Broomfield. There were very few men, but out of the 4 classes I went to there were about 2-3 men in each class. One thing that I didn't like was how the instructors allow for so much variation in each of the postures. It can be very distracting and it sometimes takes away from the group energy of the class if a lot of people are doing different things. I understand people are at different levels and have different agendas for their practice, but that is something I personally didn't like. read more

Good classes, but they are too crowded and the management has either gone completely down hill or simply does not care. You need to arrive 30 minutes early to get a spot and equipment. If you arrive less than 15 minutes in advance there will be no equipment left for you, but they'll happily accept your $20. The instructors joke about how you'll kick other people and bump into one another during postures but I just don't think that is funny. I think a once great studio is becoming greedy. I am new to CPY, and I absolutely loved my first class. It was clean, a great workout, and the instructor was very friendly and remembered my name. I was excited to go back, so I went to a sculpt class at 6am. Except, the instructor never showed up. I sat in my car along with the 10 or so other hopeful students for 20 minutes, until it became clear that the instructor wasn't showing up. Next time, I won't be wasting an hour of my day to get stood up by the yoga instructor. I don't care if you're a great studio 95% of the time, if you are unreliable it is unacceptable. I will be finding a more reliable yoga studio. read more

Was in town for a few days and took a flow fusion hot yoga class that kicked my butt, made me sweat out a gallon, but really had me feeling great in the end. Awesome workout! My one complaint is that the change rooms were a little smallish with only two showers. After the class a couple of us in the guys' change room had to wait for a couple of others to finish their showers before we could get clean. read more

I recommend checking out this Corepower location! They have friendly, talented teachers and an encouraging community. For the short time I lived in Thornton, I was very impressed with this yoga studio. I loved the teachers' personalities and the classes were always a lot of fun. I am currently going to a different Corepower as I have recently moved to Denver and I must say, there is something to be said for the franchise studios. The Corepower location on 144th is a franchise and the teachers are allowed to mix-up the classes and be original in their teaching. On the other hand, corporate studios have to do the same flow for many of their classes without variation (which can get a little boring after awhile). The only downside - this Corepower only has one studio and therefore does not have as many classes scheduled throughout the day. read more

This studio is great. Lots of classes and variations offered. I believe all of the classes are heated. The studio is quite large, although the room fills up during high traffic hours. I've taken about 30 classes so far and have yet to have an instructor I don't like. THE BEST PART: At the end of every class they give you a cool, lavender and lemon face cloth for Shavasana. It is the best touch I've ever experienced in a yoga class. Monthly membership is $130. read more

Left workout clothes behind (my fav. and they were a gift from my children for Mother's Day) and less then 15 hrs later it was stolen. I was the last one to leave the studio besides the teacher and came back the next day. It was prob the cleaning person. I have been doing yoga for years at different places and this is first time it happened. Stay away! read more

Love this place! This is where I found my Zen and became a yogi! All the core power studios really are great, I have no complaints. What I love about this studio is there has yet to be a class that disappoints. The place is always clean, always stocked (hair ties, sanitary needs, cotton balls, q-tips, you name it). They are always inspiring, helpful and friendly. read more

I have been a member of this studio for nearly a year. Here is my take on it. The CONS: I continue to be disappointed in the limited number of classes they offer daily and how packed the decent classes are. For $120 a month they should offer more classes and there are only a couple of instructors I would even recommend going to their class. There are many days that I want to go but the classes are not worth my time. I've had to start just going and do a lot of my own improvising. The PROS: The studio is very nice. I love the heated classes vs going to studios that do not offer a heated room. It helps to deepen your stretching at a more comfortable level. read more

The...best...ever! If you have only ever done yoga in a gym, you are really not getting the most amazing experience that studio yoga can provide. And I have been to several studios, and Rebecca's is my favorite! It has almost a "Cheers" feel, where "everybody knows your name". I absolutely love this yoga studio, so let me tell you why...... Corepower takes the study of yoga seriously without being snotty. They allow you to do what is best for your body and don't push opinions on what a posture should look like or feel like. They truly allow you to make your time there the best it can be for YOU. I love the instructors there because they encourage you to concentrate completely and totally on yourself. All instructors are super chill, yet incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Heidi B's Corepower 1 class on Monday nights, she is so passionate, sweet, funny and cool. It's so refreshing to find a yoga studio that allows laughter, kick butt music and a variety of classes and special programs. I also love the focus on metal health, positive thinking and the overall idea that yoga can truly change your life. Coming here has changed my life in so many awesome ways, I suggest you check it out! read more

I went for a beginners class today -Sunday. It was too crowded, and the instructor just barked out positions as if we knew what they were. There was no instructions on the poses, just their names. I have a bilateral hearing loss, and the music was to loud and a distraction. If the instructor would have stayed in one place I might have been able to read her lips, but she wandered around where I could not see or hear her. I had to take my hearing aides out due to the music. When she asked how we are doing I spoke up and said terrible, that I thought it was a beginning class and I didn't know the poses, she told me to watch others in the class. What is her job then? She could have put on a tape and left the room. She did not try to help me, or provide any guidance. I will NEVER go back there again! She was rude, ignored my request for help, and never once offered to help. read more

The classes at CPY are good and love the incense towel at the end of each class. However, today I found the gym to not be family or kid friendly; which of course ruins the Zen and relax mood that the studio portrays in its practice. I found this to be really sad, in this day and age, with single moms/dads, working parents, crazy schedules, etc. Of course, you can't expect a gym to be babysitters, but all other gyms or studios I've visited have allowed children as long as they are grade school age, are well behaved, they have things to do, they understand the rules, and they've not proven to cause harm to the studio. Not sure where the liability lies if the child sits quietly on a bench and the parent is in the next room. Actually, all studies show for children to see their parents go to a studio or gym and do physical activity vs. just talking about exercising - makes the child more likely to repeat the practice when they are adults; which is something I would think a studio or gym would promote. At home, my 8 year old daughter and I have done yoga together and she loves it and is actually fairly good at it, but today had to experience us being told to leave a studio; which stunned her. The sad part is instead of congratulating parents who are modelling good health habits to their children - the studio takes another approach of turning parents and children away. Of course, I understand if the child causes any issues to the studio that you must be asked to leave, but if the child is not disturbing any of the class participants or the class, then all the studio is doing is making life difficult instead of Zen like for those attending classes. Honestly, I was not asking Ryley to take class as of yet since many studios children need to be 12, but to be turned away and told she is not welcome to sit on a bench was a shock to both of us. I understand some patrons may like the rules of a kid free zone, but again think stereotyping all kids as troublesome, loud or reckless, or not welcoming good kids to a studio defeats the purpose of saying namaste and love to all. Lastly, if the studio is so non-kid friendly to children under 12 they should say this on their web site before someone drives to the studio and is turned away. Sadly, it's now difficult for me to refer anyone to the CPY studio no matter how good the classes may be if they are so unaccommodating or un-zen like in their practice. This is really disappointing since I know several colleagues who are yogis and are looking for a place to call home and unfortunately cannot recommend CPY since it no longer feels like home. read more
