If you are looking for a yoga studio where you can impress everyone with your ability to stay in Crow posture for 10 minutes, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you are looking for a nurturing studio that supports students of all ages, body types and experience, you should try Yoga Maitri. Even if you don't know a downward dog from a poodle, you will feel comfortable within the first five minutes. Bri, Mindy and Trula are all gifted at teaching to each student, no matter how many students are in the class. Every session feels like a private lesson and I always leave feeling better than when I started. read more

This yoga studio doesn't look like much on the outside but once you walk in your transported to a beautiful and tranquil studio. This was my first yoga class, so I wasn't sure what to expect but I went with a group of friends and family that were pretty experienced. Rhonda was our instructor. She is very patient and kind and a wonderful instructor. When the class started we were instructed to grab different props such as blankets, a bolster, some foam black and something that looks similar to a gait belt. The class I took was restorative yoga and it is just what I needed for the upper back/shoulder pain I have been experiencing and it really helped to slow my mind down and breathe deep. The poses and stretches I learned were helpful and I truly felt restored after the session. No back pain after class for a couple of hours. read more

I've enjoyed going to this studio for prenatal yoga throughout my pregnancy. Highly recommend!

I have taken several classes with many different instructors they are always knowledgeable, friendly and offer variations to every pose. No matter where you are in your practice they have a class for you. read more

It's been a rough year. Due to my stress and anxiety, I've put on a few pounds, or ten. I needed to get back to center, find a little balance and resurrect my breathing. Tightening and lengthening my body are also a priority. I believe that this is going to be the best place for it. I'd been looking for a new center for a couple weeks and came across Maitri on yelp. So glad I did! Went for the first time this morning. The space and my fellow yogis were warm and inviting. The practice was slow and gentle and so good for my soul. They also have an awesome special for folks who are new to Maitri...$39 for 30 days of unlimited yoga. I plan to take serious advantage and hope to be going several days a week. Try it for yourself and see. I hope you find that it's an amazing place, full of love and light, just like I did. read more

Had a great time at this studio. I took a variety of their classes and they were all unique in their own way. I'm used to the studios in LA and I have to say I enjoyed this place. My only issue I had were students randomly saying things during class. I personally only like hearing the yoga instructor during the session and not the students. read more

It took me months after moving from New York to find a studio as welcoming and warm as Maitri! They have so much to offer, from flow classes to restorative, yoga Nidra and workshops etc... Whether you're looking to dive deep into your practice or just need a peaceful place to quiet down, definitely check them out! Love love love read more

Being new to the area, was searching out a yoga studio with small class size. I found Maitri Yoga here on Yelp and gave it a try. It couldn't have been more perfect! Great feel to the studio, class size was perfect and the instructor, Brittany, was awesome! Very knowledgable of the practice... patient, gentle and creative. Went today and plan on going again in the morning. Thanks again Yelp for not letting me down! :) read more

Great yoga studio! This was my first time and they all were very welcoming and friendly! Plus, first class is $5. What a great deal! The teacher asks what you want to work on then you go from there! If you're a beginner or expert, this studio is for you! read more

Arvada location - I have only been a few times. I have an advanced practice and have practiced all over Denver. I really love the vibe here. I've been coming here consistently for over two years and this studio just keeps getting better and better. They run tons of workshops and have added lots of classes. Clearly this is a studio that's in a state of growth and prosperity! And it's authentic. There are so many places popping up that are trendy. read more

Really sweet studio. I visit the area from out-of-state with some regularity to see my fiance and recently stopped over for a longer duration in the middle of a cross-country move. Finding a yoga studio was at the top of my priority list because my body felt awful after being crammed in a car and driving long hours. I went to a few classes and really enjoyed the quality of teaching, which reminded me of my own training at Kripalu, as well as the community - people are really friendly and kind here. Honestly, this was the most welcoming experience I've ever had at a yoga studio. I'm sad that I couldn't stay in town...if I lived nearby, this would be my regular studio. read more

Maitri yoga center is a calming, gentle, nurturing space to further your yoga practice. I utilized the first class for a dollar deal, which was well worth it. The space is warm, welcoming and offers crystals and readings that resonate with its intention. Brittany taught my class and she was incredible. Peaceful, helpful and graceful, she offered support and strength while allowing room for self-exploration. The entire class sunk into a relaxed, meditative state while still flowing throughout poses that offered modifications for less advanced students. Brittany took wonderful care of every student in the class and I truly felt at home. Receiving a handwritten thank you card was a touching and gracious gesture from the studio. I will most definitely be back!! read more

I'm so glad I have found a studio really close to me that I love. This place makes you feel so welcomed and the instructors are all so friendly. I got 5 classes for $25 and I used them really quickly. It's a little on the expensive side for me because I don't have a consistent income (I'm a student) but other than that I am excited to go back! read more

After deciding to leave Denver, and my beloved Samadhi yoga studio there, and move closer to Boulder (in Arvada), I only could officially say "yes!" after seeing the local yoga studio so cute and made of adobe. It looked like my dream-home! However, after trying various classes, I never felt the "click". Thus, I stopped trying and just decided to wait and see where I needed to be. After a bad car-wreck I KNEW that I needed some yoga for healing, and luckily found Maitri Yoga on the internet- what a blessing!! I immediately felt at home in every class, and there is just a warmth and community-based feeling in this small space! I am so grateful that I didn't stick with what was not working, and that I found this space with amazing teachers. So many little details that I have learned with them help me out on a daily basis- even while just sitting and typing or driving. Give them a try- you won't regret it! read more

This turned out to be a major disappointment. I am a mother of two young boys and also a yoga instructor myself. I had just moved to CO in October and finally managed to find a babysitter in mid-January. When I went to get started Mindy pro-rated me for the month of January but then said that they require a three month commitment or you pay the high drop-in price....because they want to make sure you are dedicated to your practice. Well first off, yoga is a lifelong practice and being a mother is also a lifelong commitment. Requiring three months or saying you are not serious about your practice is pretty ridiculous and just a way to get more money from you, I came to find out. My babysitter quit unexpectedly in March. Unfortunately instead of bending or being willing to work with me as an individual, she simply allowed me to take April to find help and due to lots of sickness and work I was unable to. So then come May 1st my credit card gets charged the $80. When I called to at least have it be only half that since I had fulfilled 2.5 months I was told that the three month contract does not include any prorated time. This was again, very disappointing and just seemed like rules for the sake of rules. Pretty much she told me to come in if I could but nothing else could be done. They got my $80 but I will NEVER go back there again...even now that I have childcare and am back up and running. not at all how a small business and especially yoga studio should treat its customers. read more
