I arrived at 10:01 for a class that started at 10:00. There were still people setting up their mats, but the person at the front refused to let me check in, saying, "Once the instructor goes in, it's too late." The classes themselves are fine if you can find one that isn't packed. Some mornings, the room is so crowded that you're literally smelling someone else's feet while another unfortunate soul is smelling yours during locust pose. I also wish they offered more classes with lower heat. I purchased a 10-class pass, and ended up losing two classes because I was literally one minute late. For a yoga studio, they have surprisingly little chill. I understand the need for policies, but forfeiting a prepaid class for being one minute late felt unnecessarily rigid and left a bad taste. read more

I took two classes two days in a row at the Feb weekend (sculpt on Sat night at 8:30pm and c3 on Sun morning at 7:30am). Both instructors were motivating and gave us step by step movements. They "flowed" with us. Both were very nice upon checking in and upon leaving. I particularly liked Christie (?), who taught the 75 min c3 on Sun. She is able to teach with a smile. I enjoyed her flow-- challenging but not hard, and she had great music too. She seems like a really nice person and you can tell she loves her job. I noticed both instructors refer to us as "Friends" when they are doing the movements, instead of "you guys" or "everyone." No other instructor at any of the studios I have attended (in San Diego, San Jose, Orange County) say that. Studio is located in a shopping plaza off of Imperial that is easy to find. It is located near Urban Plates and across from Whole Foods. It has lots of parking and is located on the second floor. I regularly attend San Diego CPY's so it's always fun for me to check out other studios when I am on travel. I am so grateful for CPY unlimited access which allows me to take classes nationwide and for CPY's schedule of classes, offered almost every 2 hours. read more

I attended the free community yoga class on Sunday, January 5th at 11 AM with Amber, and my experience was fantastic. Signing up online was quick and easy, and I appreciated the option to try a class for free. This was my first time at any CorePower Yoga location, and the visit altogether was pleasant. Parking is easy and convenient. There's plenty of free parking in the shopping center with no time restrictions. I recommend parking near the staircase/elevator entrance on the side of the building since the studio is on the second floor. I arrived about 20 minutes early to check-in and get situated, and it seemed like most students did the same. The staff enforces a strict no-late-entry policy, which I appreciated because late arrivals can be distracting. Upon walking in, I was warmly greeted by a friendly front desk staff member who made me feel immediately welcomed. She gave me a quick tour of the space, showing me the retail area, the two studio rooms, and the ladies locker area/bathrooms. The facility did appear clean and sanitized. I believe they have 2 or 3 showers, two bathroom stalls, and plenty of lockers. You can bring your own lock or use the open cubbies by the front entrance (*They lock the front door during class times for security). I also loved the little touches in the bathroom area, like mouthwash at the sinks and a vanity space for makeup or hair touch-ups (though note, no blow dryers are provided). Amber led a beginner-friendly flow that was easy to follow and incredibly enjoyable. I loved the sense of community in the class and also appreciate that CorePower offers a free week pass to explore more classes before committing to a membership. Before I left after the class, three staff members, including Amber, wished me a great day, which left me with a positive impression of the studio. Core power has been the best obsession I could ever have. I did a free week back in January and I can't stop going!! The classes are so difficult yet they r so addicting!!!! Ashley and Airin teach insanely difficult but SUPER fun classes. The music they play is always so fun and motivate me to work harder. I absolutely love Corepower, it is really pricey but it is so worth it if you go everyday, it makes you feel so good right after and such a good way to start or end the day. read more

Where do I even begin with this CorePower Studio location in Brea?? The first thing that comes to mind is how much I enjoy being at this location and seeing the trainer's. They are so friendly and such geniune people who care for your well being. The Yogi Masters :-) as I call them are all special and they will guide you patiently through your practice. Each one of them has an ability to bring the best out of you! I admit that I love the attention I get from each of these trainer's during class. Especially when my name is mentioned; whether it's from a song that is playing or to just acknowledge my efforts. It definitely keeps me motivated, even during the butt kicking! LOL! Yoga has also taught me to tell myself mentally, even when I so want to give up - "Don't quit on yourself, Mark!" For the first time in my life I feel like Yoga has given me purpose and to be grateful for every day and every thing. And I know that aside from the practice that the trainer's played a key role and that it has had such a profound and positive impact on me. First timer at CorePower Brea, located inside of the La Floresta shopping center. First off, the entrance is UPSTAIRS! From the exterior it's really easy to get turned around so, to help everyone avoid the countless laps around the main floor that I took, know that it's upstairs lol I took advantage of their free week promotion, which was super easy to take part in. They have a link on their website, it's simple, quick, and you do not have to put any payment on file to activate. The week also works at all their studios and is not specific to just one which I thought was great! This allows you to check out multiple studios to see which would be your preferred. Next I downloaded their app which made booking a breeze as well. Pro tip- filter the classes by class type to make selecting your sessions a bit easier. I am not an experienced yogi so I made sure to book a CorePower level 1 class to start. Our instructor was Lauren, she was friendly, attentive and did a great job of leading us through all the different poses. They DO have mats you can rent (the website notes that they do not but they in fact do) They also provided a lock and key so that you may use a locker in the locker room to store your personal belongings. Classes are all an hour in duration, but if you need to leave a bit early they just ask that you do so before final stretches take place as to not disrupt the other attendees. The studio itself is bright, clean, well kept. The women's locker room was also well maintained, stocked with all the essentials needed to be able to take a shower after class if you've got somewhere to be. Hair ties, mouth wash, shampoo, conditioner, feminine products, etc. Overall had a great first experience, looking forward to continuing to take advantage of the free week pass and may potentially look to become a member. If you're curious about yoga and want to give it a go, I highly recommend taking advantage of the free week and checking out the Brea studio! Also, the La Floresta shopping center has restaurants, Whole Foods, and a Mendocino Farms which makes it a nice convenient way to grab a bite after your session! read more

Joanne was super friendly and aided us in getting a reservation spot for one of the community classes! It gets pretty packed so come prepared w your mat, water, and most importantly, a towel. It gets warm in there. We enjoyed the fact that they had multiple instructors scattered throughout the room that would take turns leading us through our journey. I'm one of the people who doesn't frequent, so I had to constantly look around for visual queues on what to do next. Everyone is very welcoming and it has a sense of community between each person. You get up close and personal w some so I can see why. It was fun meeting everyone after the class and making some new friends. I'm on the fence. I really enjoyed the classes itself, it was challenging and a good workout. But I got very sick after taking classes here on 2 separate occasions and I wonder how they control mold in the studio. I'm curious to hear from management about this. I really enjoy the classes here. The instructors are great, and the overall atmosphere is super friendly and welcoming. It's a great community. That said, I do have some concerns about cleanliness. A lot of people don't wipe down their sweaty weights or blocks after class, and it gets pretty gross. These classes are naturally intense and sweaty, but it's not okay to leave puddles of sweat on the floor especially when the lights aren't turned on afterward and you can accidentally step in it. Another issue is the restroom not having toilet seat covers, which feels like a basic hygiene necessity that's missing. I love coming here, but I really hope the cleanliness standards improve soon. read more

All the staff there is so nice, extremely well trained and thanks to them I have developed a love for yoga. I am only doing 3 stars because this studio has CONSTANT issues. The bathroom sinks were out for like 2 months, pipes constantly bursting so classes get cancelled. Got here 1 minute later than the timed grace period of 5 minutes & the girl @ the front desk wouldn't let me into the class, man that's really lame. -1 I drove all the way from Rancho Cucamonga to go to this Brea location & in traffic too. -1 Core power yoga does have some good teachers but others have really bad attitudes; this sucks when they're supposed to be yogis who spread positive attitudes to others. -1 Core power doesn't have many locations & they dont have many class offerings either. -1 Some the hours aren't very convent for working people either. -1 Class prices are on the high end too. -1 If I could give this place negative -1 star then I would. I wanted to take the 12pm class today and I got turned away. Technically I wasn't late I made it at 12pm. I should still be able to get in cause I made it right on time. Also I noticed that last week an instructor let a student in even though she was 5 minutes late. There must be some consistency in your grace period. Not sure if that was the instructor's friend. Furthermore let me remind you that your company was deducting fees even though your studios were closed. The least you could do is be accessible and at least be considerate of situations. It cannot be our way or the highway cause most of us will cancel our membership. It's also difficult to book a class regardless we can book 1 week in advance. It's just totally unfair! read more

Very poor customer service!! I arrived TWO MINUTES LATE to my yoga class because I was caught at a red light. I parked my car at 4 and walked into the building by 4:02, yet was denied entry by a rude and condescending female associate. Even after I explained my situation, she was stubborn and not willing to allow me to attend my yoga session. This has never happened to me before at any other yoga studio. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone who messes up every now and again, because no grace will be given to you here. read more

They are open now!! I've been going to corepower for many years now and my favorite classes are sculpt and HPF. I always find it difficult to be motivated to exercise on my own, and taking classes really helps give me structure and motivation! I'm so happy to find out that they are opening up now and offering first class back free on the website, although you do have to reserve a spot ahead of time to keep the class size small. Today was my first time going back to the studio since COVID happened and I got turned away for being a few minutes late which was totally my bad haha. I totally understand and have no problem signing up for a different class at a later time (and I'm ganna remember not to be late again!!) When I was trying to sign up for my next class though, I noticed that I got charged for the class I didn't get to attend. This made me feel very cheated especially because this class should have been my free first class back. It really left a bad taste to me being charged for a class that I was promised to have for free, and I didn't even get to attend it. I hope this is just a simple charging error and I am going to try contacting the manager and clarify it. read more

I love corepower yoga! Although they haven't officially opened and are only offering free classes, I've had such a blast! I've gone four times in a row and I plan on coming back! The C1 class is AMAZING for beginners and all instructors are so kind and genuine. You don't feel pressured to do a pose you're not comfortable with and I absolutely love that!! C2s are classes where instructors have the freedom to create their own flow, so each C2 you take, will be different! Which is great if you get tired of the routine C1 and HPF classes. I particularly like Mona, Angie and Chelsea's C2 classes. HPF is hot power fusion. The room is super hot and you're guaranteed to sweat! A lot of balancing in this class. David and Angie are my favorite HPF teachers. Sculpt is (IMO) the hardest class they offer right now. You really use your arms and a lot of effort but the payoff is great. I already see my arms getting more toned! Chelsea and Nathaly are my fav teachers for this class. The facility is clean and modern and the bathrooms are super cool! They also sell lululemon clothes that are super cute but kind of expensive! I come here everyday so say hi if you see me! read more

Alright, I have absolutely NO IDEA why I have been putting off writing a review for Corepower Yoga in Brea! This studio is 5 stars to me. The studio is kept well and clean, from their studios to the bathrooms and showers. There is always an attendant manning the bathrooms and I am truly grateful for them. As for the instructors, take it from me - take Natalie's 9:30am Hot Power Fusion every Wednesday! She will put you to work and is geniune with her intentions. She motivates me to power through the poses and I always feel refreshed after her class. I've also taken Angie's corepower 2 class. She's pretty awesome as well! It was her class that got me hooked on Corepower to begin with. The most popular classes are Yogasculpt, which is a mixture of hot yoga with HIIT and weights. Great class to burn some serious calories. For a more deep, soul searching vinyasa flow, go for Hot Power Fusion. Don't ignore the Corepower 1 and 2 classes if you'd like a microscopic look at the poses. Overall, this location is great and I can honestly say I'm a regular! read more

I have been a frequent participant in the hot power fusion classes at 10am since April. I go about once a week and really enjoy them. I always arrive at 9:59 or 10am exactly due to my work schedule. I arrived today at 9:59, put my stuff in the cubby and it was 10:00am and the guy at the front desk said class had already started and refused to let me in. This has never happened before. I have two issues with this. One, I have never heard of this policy until now and two I have seen people walk into class 5 minutes after it has started, I have seen people leave for the bathroom before class starts and then walk in. If this is really a policy it should be posted somewhere in the studio in the front, unless I missed it. My main issue is that I feel marginalized because I know have seen people walk late into class several times and I was not late. I guess they play favorites. This isn't going to deter me from continuing to attend the classes. I will still go and try and arrive around 9:55, but this 1 star review is for the marginalization I experienced....And if I do see someone walk in late again, I will point it out. read more

A friend if my convinced me to check out the 1 week unlimited use to see if this would be a great place to practice my new yoga addiction. I initially started my yoga practice at a hot studio. So walking in a non heated room was different for me. The first class I took was a fusion power class, which was packed wall to wall. Literally mat edges touching. But this was a special class, as the instructor/studio manager was moving to NY to open up 2 other studios. With my busy schedule, I could only take 2 more classes, which was a CorePower 1 and a CoreRestore class, which sounded similar to a Yin ( the Restore class) class I've taken at other studios. I got used to a 75 minute class at the heated studio, and walking into this 60 minute class obviously didn't feel the same. I did get a good stretch from this class, but didn't feel I got the best. The instructor was great good though. Very thorough in walking us through each position and what it should expect doing. The facility is very clean. No issues with the studio and the locker rooms. The locker rooms have a sufficient amount of lockers, and the have free loaner locks at the check-in counter. The shower stalls are a bit tight, but they provide the necessary shampoo, conditioner, and body soap to get squeaky clean. They also provide lotion, mouthwash, cotton swab, and a few other amenities. There is CorePower merch up in the front. I didn't check it out, so can't really elaborate on that. Not a bad studio for only visiting this location three times. The CorePower 1 class was awesome. I don't remember the name.of the instructor, but she had a great class.oved everything about it. From how she led the class to all the positions. She was very thorough and made me feel very welcomed to her class. read more

Everyone who I met here was so nice and I was given a thorough explanation on how everything worked.
