    Tuna Poke Fire
    Mel R.

I had a list of restaurants to try during my business trip to Syracuse and I keep finding myself coming to Corelife Eatery and skipping my list of stops. It's just hard to resist.. They serve the way I like to eat. So far Ive tried the following: Tuna Fire Bowl, Greek chicken quinoa, Steak, bacon & blue cheese ( swapped the bacon for avocados). Southwest Chicken, Sides: chicken broth, beef broth, brussel sprouts, and sweet potatoes. The Tuna bowl is still tops for me, I plan on getting it again before I leave. The Greek Chicken comes in second, this one hit the spot, so fresh and tasty, loved the hummus & dressing. The steak, bacon & blue takes the third spot, the salad with the dressing was Devine, the steak was good quality, but I would've liked it more if the steak was hotter and done medium rare. Had high expectations for The southwest chicken, but I was not crazy about the flavor profile, it was just ok. As far as the sides. All have been outstanding, I was impressed with the chicken broth, it was so good, caught me by surprise, I can see myself ordering it during regularly during the winter months. Beef was good also. Think I prefer the chicken though. As far as the fountain drinks go. My favorites are the fig & vanilla, mandarin cardamon, and berry patch, in that order. Corelife reminds me of a restaurant I used to frequently visit in Tampa called Fresh Kitchen. Both have a similar concept, healthy, fresh, and delicious. I still have four more days to go, I will try my best to try the other places on my list.. Corelife keeps pulling me back in, that's a sign of a great restaurant.

Holding my chicken in her dirty glove

I wish I could give them zero stars because the service was absolutely atrocious, and the worker literally grabbed my chicken with their bare hand. Absolutely disgusting. I never write bad review having worked in food service but they also said no to making a smoothie and double chicken because they're too lazy to clean it again even though they don't close for another 45 mins

I went here for the first time and was not disappointed, the bowls are generous portions, and the staff were so helpful, they literally read me each ingredient to make sure I wanted it, there was no line when I went on a Tuesday afternoon so the service was really efficient and most importantly the Korean barbecue pork was delicious, will definitely be back!

Perfect. Exactly what I needed. Healthy food that tastes good. I had the Korean BBQ chicken meal but got the chicken subbed with falafel. A few more pieces of falafel would've been nice but otherwise it was great. My uncle had the southwest crispy chicken and he inhaled it. I'd definitely recommend it.

Today I stopped by CoreLife for a quick bite and it was delicious. The proportions were great and the line was not too long. I ordered the Tuna Poke Fire and devoured the entire bowl. Although the poke was amazing, a couple minutes later my stomach began to hurt; I don't know if it was due to the poke or not, but it was still very tasty. So a customer and close friend was meeting me for lunch and he chose CoreLife for our meeting place. Healthy Healthy food only, oh know what do I eat? Will I still be hungry? Checking on line to their menu and was able to come up with a few items I maybe able to enjoy. Heading into the restaurant, I saw they had a Korean BBQ bowl and it was excellent. Ordered a small and enough food for me to eat. Service behind their food line was polite and friendly. If your a meat and french fries kinda person try something different and healthy, you won't be sorry. Spouse and I are going to make a trip there as she wants to try it. Notes: place is very busy lunch times but the staff moves you through. Lots of take out orders Outdoor seating.

I came here last night as part of their pre-opening event. It was busy but there was a welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a wide selection of bowls beyond just the typical salads. The staff was great at explaining all the selections and you are able to swap out or add any toppings. I got the ranch flank steak and my boyfriend got the tuna poke fire. Both of which were delicious. I was especially interested in the drink options. They offer a twist on lemonade and green teas. I would highly recommend the beet lemonade. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. The pricing was reasonable and the food was delicious. This is also a very convenient location for me so I will definitely be back.

The Korean pork bowl was delicious but the Thai chicken was meh. Would come back for Korean pork bowl which was basically a bibimbap with rich ingredients.

Super spicy beef rice noodle soup

Although I wasn't too impressed with my insanely spicy beef rice noodle soup bowl, my husband did enjoy his BBQ chicken ranch rice bowl; and after trying his, I will admit I think he made the better choice. My soup was forgettable, and I feel like there are overall probably better menu options. I really enjoy the concept of this place, it kinda reminds me of a Panera decorated in quinoa and kale with the serving style of Chipotle. I think I would go back just to try something else, but I'm not sure I feel the need to return right away. The beet lemonade mixed with green tea was tasty. I wanted to give this place 5 stars just because we need more places that aren't Taco Bell's, burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. (Don't get me wrong, I love all three of those. But I also prefer to eat healthier if given the choice...) Staff was friendly. Maybe next time I will have a better review.

This is my first experience with car-side to go, and it was a pleasant one. I ordered online and got a timeframe to pick up my meal. Thankfully, the to-go pickup spot was open, and marked. A little far from the front door, but that's more of an issue for the staff than for me. The number to call is on the parking sign, which is useful. I did have to wait for a minute when I called in, but the staff was very sweet. I ordered the Sriracha Ginger Tofu & Ancient Grains Bowl, since that was the least calorie-dense item on the menu. Super happy with this choice. It was a mix of temperatures and textures. The ginger added a tang, while the sriracha was super spicy. Definitely put an ummph in the salad, and made it feel more like a meal than a half-hearted attempt to be healthy. I don't know that I'd say this is the kind of food I'd crave (which may say more about my bad habits than the restaurant itself,) but I wouldn't protest to order again.

Stopped in here for lunch- always a line! But that's just a testament to the newness and the fresh food you'll get here! I think that is the biggest draw- fresh, local and fast. Everything is made to order right in front of you- kind of like a cafeteria line but it moves fast. Just know what you want- look at the menu as you wait on line- they have menus to pass as well as a mine with photos on the wall.

Unfortunately, based on our visit, I do not anticipate returning. While I do have several culinary critiques--such as paying for the luxury wine pairing only to receive a bold Burgundy alongside Linguine and Clams, or seeing "Caviar" listed on the menu and discovering it was actually Bowfin roe--these are ultimately matters of taste and expectation. Likewise, the eclectic menu progression, shifting from Korean/Asian-inspired starters to Eastern European notes and then unexpectedly into Italian influences, was unusual but clearly stated ahead of time. SEE UPDATED REVIEW FOLLOWING THIS SECTION SPECIFICALLY RELATING TO "SERVICE FEE". What was not clearly stated--and what I believe crosses into dishonest practice--was the service fee. The menu advertised on Instagram included fine print noting a 3% service fee. That seemed reasonable. However, the check we received instead included a 22% service fee, which is a significant and unexplained deviation. This is not a simple oversight. The terms presented online at the time of reservation did not match the terms presented at the restaurant. (UPDATED REVIEW: Following my review, one of the owners of Noble Cellar reached out to discuss my experience. We had an in‑depth, thoughtful conversation about the complexities of New York State restaurant laws, particularly those governing how front‑of‑house staff may be tipped and how back‑of‑house employees may be compensated. While we were in agreement that the language surrounding the service fee was confusing, our discussion gave me a clearer understanding of the intent. I now feel far less certain that the discrepancy was malicious or deliberately deceptive. That said, it should have been made much clearer to diners that the service fee included what is traditionally understood as gratuity. Transparency in this area is crucial for maintaining guest trust, and clearer communication would have prevented the confusion I--and likely others--experienced. I want to commend the owner for reaching out directly and taking the time to address each of my concerns. His willingness to engage, listen, and provide context demonstrated genuine integrity. We also discussed my other critiques in depth, and it was evident that he was sincerely interested in my perspective and committed to further elevating the experience they aim to provide. I was invited back to experience a standard service, and I appreciate the opportunity. I look forward to giving Noble Cellar another chance and hope to update this review again following a future visit.) Our total bill was $599, including a $100 "service fee." I still chose to leave a $100 tip, as our server was attentive and should not be held responsible for management's decisions. In the end, we spent $700 for two people--paired with the added disappointment of feeling misled. I have photo documentation of both menus, and the discrepancy is unmistakable. I will be reaching out directly to ownership and management regarding this issue. Until then, I feel compelled to leave a 1-star review, as this level of inconsistency and lack of transparency is unacceptable. Without the inflated and undisclosed fee, my rating would have been closer to 3 stars, based on the food and overall experience.

I booked a reservation for 5:15pm as we had an appt at the theatre but we were running a little late due to weather and arrived around 5:35. I did call ahead to let the restaurant know and they were fine. We arrived and were promptly seated. The restaurant was quite busy. Our server greeted us and was lovely. We put our drink order in and then apps and food a bit later. We expressly told the server that our show was at 7:30 and her response was "good to know!". Then things went sideways. The drinks were very late to the table but the server apologized. They were rather tasty though and she convinced me to try a new Roku gin which I did! Good choice! The mozzarella app came promptly, it was tasty though pretty common. Then...we waited...and waited..and waited. 20min- 30min- 1 hour. We had been told that their new menu premiered today, and the server was also running around like a chicken with her head cut off. We later were told that they had cut a server earlier because they had not anticipated being as busy. Ooooops!! No bueno! The other issue was that our server, had tables all over the restaurant. Not in a specific area but like all over. Being that our show was at 7:30, at around 6:50 after speaking with the manager the food arrived. Here is the good part- The manager was AMAZING. She knew that the restaurant was in the wrong, she knew they were unprepared and she took action. She along with our server got the food to us with copious apologies and she made it right. I will leave that there- SHE MADE IT RIGHT. My brother was in the restaurant business for many years and explained where the failures happened - a new menu and lack of staff and why the mixture was not a good combination when unprepared. I asked if the owner happened to be in the restaurant at the same time and I was told yes, but that they were in a meeting discussing sauces. Lord have mercy! That bothered me, considering that there were problems in the dining room and the owner was nowhere to be found, but at the end of the day, the manager and our server really rose to the occasion, took care of the issue, apologized profusely, and we left feeling as though we were taken care of even though we had to shove our food down our faces in order to get to the theatre. Will we go back? Yes, of course - we will give them another chance but more over the owner needs to recognize that there was a problem that likely there will continue to be a problem unless they learn from the mistakes with his or her management team so that these things do not continue to happen. One thing our server did say to us is "we really enjoy and appreciate the feedback that we get so that we can pass that along in the hopes that management and ownership will listen to us, and these things won't happen again; she was embarrassed. We told her not to be. We tipped her highly because we felt that this was not her fault at all; that this was the fault of ownership and management not properly juggling all of the balls in the air to make a smooth evening for everyone. As we left we noticed that the restaurant was even more jam packed than when we arrived- I do hope that things got a bit smoother!

Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.

TPOH nailed it: "Speaking of hearing, I can't take too much loud music I mean I like to play it, but I sure don't like the racket" I'm starting here, with the vibe, which sets the scene, dig? Decor-wise, it's luxe lounge, and is a welcome surprise in the Salt City. We use Resy, and...either the hostess misheard our party size, didn't really care, didn't really doublecheck to read our actual reservation, or whatever man, that's just your opinion. So, the backroom might have been a bit better suited for us olds, we were ushered into the front room. Not the window, but pretty darn close. Again, fun for people watching, inside and out. But damn it kids, if you have a DJ, I want to talk to Sir Vibes A Lot and ask them how they think thumping house music actually aids in digestion? Maybe I unconsciously started chewing to the unrelenting 4/4 beat, anything's possible. Now onto the menu, and back to the identity crisis. Like a lot of places, the York has a broad spectrum of offerings. Burger. Nashville Hot. Multiple pasta options. Sure, sure, sure. The porkchop with kimchi fried rice was the clear winner, hands down. The chicken, mashed and greens took second place (but I'll give ya a pro tip chef: the longer you cook your greens, the better they are). The salmon was a distant third because everything bagel seasoning is a lot after a while, and the veg was uninspired. Our TL:DR recommendation is come for cocktails and poutine. The poutine satisfied by itself. Our server was great- thanks, Destiny!
