I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. I love Core. I go to one at least once a week. The food is clean and delicious. If you are looking for low calorie and delicious you can get that here. All locations are pretty similar other than the layouts. The decor and the feel is the same. Very modern hipster ish if that makes sense. The food is all good at least what I have had. Tonight I had the spicy Thai chicken rice noodle bowl. It was banging. Had a little spice from the chili sauce and spicy chicken. It also had a little sweet from the cashew dressing. They always give you a good portion. This time I couldn't even finish it. Also I think it was only 310 calories. I could be wrong on that but I thought that is what I saw. I normally get the kale Caesar chicken salad with picked onions added man is that good. I think I could live off that alone for lunch. Anyway if you have not been to a CoreLife please check it out. The only negative is that if you go at noon you will probably find a line of people in front of you. read more

We absolutely love CoreLife Eatery. It's one of my go-to spots because I can "safely" order dairy-free and gluten-free.....they change gloves and use separate tools, which I really appreciate. My favorite is the Korean BBQ pork dinner box with purple rice, coleslaw, kimchi, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and Thai chili sauce. It's so good every time. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is friendly, and there's plenty of seating. Prices are about what you'd expect these days (around $20 for my meal, however I sometimes eat twice from it), and my whole family can always find something they like. It's located in a strip mall off Erie Blvd with a large parking lot, which makes it wicked convenient. read more

We've been going to Core in Widewaters for years, but unfortunately, I think it's gone down hill. You used to be able to choose your food and then get a couple / few extra toppings. But now you get only one, and the bowls themselves are smaller, as well. The other issue is that, although they use compostable silverware, everything seems to be plastic, plastic, plastic. They tout themselves as being a healthy option, and I agree that the food is of very good quality. But all the one-use plastic is a real bummer. read more

I had a list of restaurants to try during my business trip to Syracuse and I keep finding myself coming to Corelife Eatery and skipping my list of stops. It's just hard to resist.. They serve the way I like to eat. So far Ive tried the following: Tuna Fire Bowl, Greek chicken quinoa, Steak, bacon & blue cheese ( swapped the bacon for avocados). Southwest Chicken, Sides: chicken broth, beef broth, brussel sprouts, and sweet potatoes. The Tuna bowl is still tops for me, I plan on getting it again before I leave. The Greek Chicken comes in second, this one hit the spot, so fresh and tasty, loved the hummus & dressing. The steak, bacon & blue takes the third spot, the salad with the dressing was Devine, the steak was good quality, but I would've liked it more if the steak was hotter and done medium rare. Had high expectations for The southwest chicken, but I was not crazy about the flavor profile, it was just ok. As far as the sides. All have been outstanding, I was impressed with the chicken broth, it was so good, caught me by surprise, I can see myself ordering it during regularly during the winter months. Beef was good also. Think I prefer the chicken though. As far as the fountain drinks go. My favorites are the fig & vanilla, mandarin cardamon, and berry patch, in that order. Corelife reminds me of a restaurant I used to frequently visit in Tampa called Fresh Kitchen. Both have a similar concept, healthy, fresh, and delicious. I still have four more days to go, I will try my best to try the other places on my list.. Corelife keeps pulling me back in, that's a sign of a great restaurant. read more

I came here last night as part of their pre-opening event. It was busy but there was a welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a wide selection of bowls beyond just the typical salads. The staff was great at explaining all the selections and you are able to swap out or add any toppings. I got the ranch flank steak and my boyfriend got the tuna poke fire. Both of which were delicious. I was especially interested in the drink options. They offer a twist on lemonade and green teas. I would highly recommend the beet lemonade. Service is consistently friendly, attentive, focused, and efficient. Food is always as described, hot, and available. When I order online, it is always ready within 5 minutes of pickup time, even when extremely busy. Clean store, shoveled and salted sidewalks in the winter. All around good food. read more

She tells me it's been done but behind the counter......So nobody could have told me the order was done? Nobody could have walked over and put it in there pickup bin? This place is a complete joke and the people working there are just lazy. I don't recommend the Erie Blvd location AT ALL. Although I wasn't too impressed with my insanely spicy beef rice noodle soup bowl, my husband did enjoy his BBQ chicken ranch rice bowl; and after trying his, I will admit I think he made the better choice. My soup was forgettable, and I feel like there are overall probably better menu options. I really enjoy the concept of this place, it kinda reminds me of a Panera decorated in quinoa and kale with the serving style of Chipotle. I think I would go back just to try something else, but I'm not sure I feel the need to return right away. The beet lemonade mixed with green tea was tasty. I wanted to give this place 5 stars just because we need more places that aren't Taco Bell's, burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. (Don't get me wrong, I love all three of those. This is my first experience with car-side to go, and it was a pleasant one. I ordered online and got a timeframe to pick up my meal. Thankfully, the to-go pickup spot was open, and marked. A little far from the front door, but that's more of an issue for the staff than for me. The number to call is on the parking sign, which is useful. I did have to wait for a minute when I called in, but the staff was very sweet. I ordered the Sriracha Ginger Tofu & Ancient Grains Bowl, since that was the least calorie-dense item on the menu. Super happy with this choice. It was a mix of temperatures and textures. The ginger added a tang, while the sriracha was super spicy. Definitely put an ummph in the salad, and made it feel more like a meal than a half-hearted attempt to be healthy. I don't know that I'd say this is the kind of food I'd crave (which may say more about my bad habits than the restaurant itself,) but I wouldn't protest to order again. read more

Stopped in here for lunch- always a line! But that's just a testament to the newness and the fresh food you'll get here! I think that is the biggest draw- fresh, local and fast. Everything is made to order right in front of you- kind of like a cafeteria line but it moves fast. Amazing! So happy that core life is gaining such a fan group. Loved eating there when I lived in Binghamton. Here in Syracuse, going to the Buckley Rd one is a bit out of the way. This Dewitt location is perfect. The staff was friendly and there wasn't a long wait. Tried the BBQ ranch chicken rice bowl for the first time and I think it's my new favorite. I've eaten at the Core Life eatery on Long Island so coming to see how my hometown measures up was natural. It's clean inside. Long lines is a good sign but not what I like to run into. I love the menu & there are numerous combinations & options to be had BUT beware of the sides!!!! I ordered the grilled brussel sprouts & didn't realize they had bacon I should have asked but was too hangry to check - now I know & passing on to you my friends. The venue is open and bright. Plenty of parking available. The food was delicious. I got the Mediterranean bowl with the falafel and an extra side of meat. I always get anxious about coming to core and ordering. I always feel like it's so clumsy. My only complaint is that the food and service was fast because they were closing up the garbage was overflowing and kinda made it not so easy to throw stuff away. I'm not sure what other people are posted about? Fresher McDonalds? Please. This place is amazing. They're cooking real flank steak right in front of you, and real chicken breasts too. The food is really good and there's a ton of options to try. I've tried many. And if you don't like their menu, just build your own. Pro Tip: they tell you choose 4 veggies but you can put as many as you like on it. Dressings made in house. Beverages made in house. There's a decent line to order almost all hours of the day. That's a testament to how good this place is. My personal favs - Spicy Chicken Noodle Bowl and Ranch Flank Steak Rice Bowl. Both are really good. Oh and this isn't a "chain" per se. The original store is in N Syracuse, and they've franchised out to some locations across the country. But the Syracuse stores are the original by the owners. read more

I want to like this place so much, because it's healthy and I'm obsessed with the beet lemonade, but the dishes are just a bunch of combos I can't get on board with. I wish there was a pick everything yourself option, but sadly there isn't. I got the power bowl with tuna and it was one of better options for me, but the Brussels sprouts were more red onion than sprouts themselves, and they were underdone. CoreLife seems to be popping up everywhere, and that's great, since we need more healthy options, but they should really consider giving people more freedom to DIY. I may or may not be back for food, I'll definitely be back for the beet lemonade, but not for a while since the lines are too dang long even during off hours. read more

I also have a couple of friends who became sick from eating the tuna at the other Syracuse location. After sitting down and discussing the fact I was food poisoned with a Corelife regional manager, I was sent a formal yet unapologetic letter deflecting fault with no indication the restaurant would seek improved food safety. This eatery is food-sourced by international Cisco; do not buy the hype of fresh local food. This place is the McDonalds of healthier food alternatives. I love eating here, it's definitely one of the best healthy spots in this area. I've had numerous of their salads, grain bowls, and soups.... all are fantastic! They have a lot of seating and the line moves relatively fast. The portion sizes are filling and not too pricey considering the quality. This was my first time coming to this location since it opened because I missed my time slot for the pre opening. The first time I tried CoreLife Eatery was in Rochester a couple of months ago and I loved it! I was so excited that they were opening one here! My experience today consisted of initial shock that there was still a long line out of the door, which to me only means that everyone's loving the place. I joined the line & to my surprise was at the counter in a matter of minutes. The conveyer belt of servers here seemed to be working pretty quickly together, I didn't see any issues with their service, rather they were quicker than I expected. I do hope the lines die down because the seats were filled up and it was way too loud (no, I'm not a grandma, it was just really loud ) I ordered the tuna poke grain bowl to go in a medium size, it comes with a full portion of protein in any size, which is pretty great! Usually I feel that the poke bowls don't provide enough protein for the cost of their bowls. I can't say I was a big fan of the flavor of my bowl, but I think it was the dressing because it was too watery & salty for my taste, I didn't taste the ginger at all, and they were low on edamame so I didn't have much of that in my bowl either. The price was very reasonable for a pretty big loaded with tuna, poke bowl ( $12 something with tax), Now since I'm done eating, I am super full, very satisfied, and loaded up on my protein, so if you're about your gains, CoreLife is where it's at. Side note, after reading the comment below in regards to someone getting food positions after eating their tuna poke, I'm quite nervous haven eaten mine already....fingers crossed. read more
