CoreLife Eatery honestly surprised me. I saw it has around a 3 out of 5 rating on Yelp, and I have to admit that caught me off guard because I have consistently had really good experiences here. I come here often, especially after workouts or after a long day when I am craving something fresh. One of my favorite things is that they prepare everything right in front of you. The ingredients always look fresh, and I like being able to customize my meal exactly how I want it. I usually order the Steak, Bacon & Blue bowl because it is my favorite. The picture I posted is actually their Korean BBQ Pork bowl, but I substituted the pork for steak. It was just as good, and I love that they let you customize your meal to fit what you're in the mood for. The restaurant has a casual, welcoming atmosphere, and the service has always been friendly whenever I have visited. Even when they are busy, the staff does a good job keeping everything moving. Overall, I have had consistently positive experiences here, which is why I was surprised by the overall Yelp rating. If you are looking for a fresh, healthy meal that is made right in front of you with quality ingredients, I definitely think CoreLife is worth trying for yourself. read more

I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. I love Core. I go to one at least once a week. The food is clean and delicious. If you are looking for low calorie and delicious you can get that here. All locations are pretty similar other than the layouts. The decor and the feel is the same. Very modern hipster ish if that makes sense. The food is all good at least what I have had. Tonight I had the spicy Thai chicken rice noodle bowl. It was banging. Had a little spice from the chili sauce and spicy chicken. It also had a little sweet from the cashew dressing. They always give you a good portion. This time I couldn't even finish it. Also I think it was only 310 calories. I could be wrong on that but I thought that is what I saw. I normally get the kale Caesar chicken salad with picked onions added man is that good. I think I could live off that alone for lunch. Anyway if you have not been to a CoreLife please check it out. The only negative is that if you go at noon you will probably find a line of people in front of you. read more

We absolutely love CoreLife Eatery. It's one of my go-to spots because I can "safely" order dairy-free and gluten-free.....they change gloves and use separate tools, which I really appreciate. My favorite is the Korean BBQ pork dinner box with purple rice, coleslaw, kimchi, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and Thai chili sauce. It's so good every time. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is friendly, and there's plenty of seating. Prices are about what you'd expect these days (around $20 for my meal, however I sometimes eat twice from it), and my whole family can always find something they like. It's located in a strip mall off Erie Blvd with a large parking lot, which makes it wicked convenient. read more

I've been seeing the steady decline of this eatery for a year now. Mostly in the cleanliness of the dining area. Today they out did themselves in almost every possible way to show they don't give a shit about their customers. The 1 positive was the staff were reasonably friendly. Now for the negative Starting with pricing, the meal we used to get was $1.50 more since 2 months ago It gets better the serving size that was once small serving is NOW the large serving. Additionally the serving bowels used to be the healthier (for warm meals) made of cardboard, now are little plastic bowel instead. It gets better when they run out of the meat you ordered they substitute it with dried out chicken in your tiny bowel. What was once, a little bit to take home, is now eat all of it and you will still be hungry. Then there's a general condition of the dining area. Every table was dirty with food from the previous customer. After we received our warm food in our little plastic bowls, we went to get napkins, but there were none so we asked the cashier that there were no napkins and he said "we're really shorthanded today, half hour staff went back to college". OK then that must've been a surprise for them to know that college students return to school in mid August. Not to worry about hiring replacements in early August to keep their services running smoothly. Napkins were replaced by a roll of paper towels set on the counter. Which were much needed to clean your table so you could sit down at the dirty tables to eat. I intend to contact the manager tomorrow it is not ok $30. for two tiny dishes of sub standard food. I can't imagine consumers are going to put up with this kind of treatment too much longer before no one goes there again. I certainly won't. read more

This location hits EVERY TIME. Amazing service and food obviously. The workers will never skimp on getting you the best portions. They are all so kind and I genuinely reached flow state eating the salad they made me. It changed my life. This is my first review, they deserved it. read more

CoreLife Eatery - BYO Regular Bowls - New American Near Me - Syracuse, New York

We've been going to Core in Widewaters for years, but unfortunately, I think it's gone down hill. You used to be able to choose your food and then get a couple / few extra toppings. But now you get only one, and the bowls themselves are smaller, as well. The other issue is that, although they use compostable silverware, everything seems to be plastic, plastic, plastic. They tout themselves as being a healthy option, and I agree that the food is of very good quality. But all the one-use plastic is a real bummer. read more

I had a list of restaurants to try during my business trip to Syracuse and I keep finding myself coming to Corelife Eatery and skipping my list of stops. It's just hard to resist.. They serve the way I like to eat. So far Ive tried the following: Tuna Fire Bowl, Greek chicken quinoa, Steak, bacon & blue cheese ( swapped the bacon for avocados). Southwest Chicken, Sides: chicken broth, beef broth, brussel sprouts, and sweet potatoes. The Tuna bowl is still tops for me, I plan on getting it again before I leave. The Greek Chicken comes in second, this one hit the spot, so fresh and tasty, loved the hummus & dressing. The steak, bacon & blue takes the third spot, the salad with the dressing was Devine, the steak was good quality, but I would've liked it more if the steak was hotter and done medium rare. Had high expectations for The southwest chicken, but I was not crazy about the flavor profile, it was just ok. As far as the sides. All have been outstanding, I was impressed with the chicken broth, it was so good, caught me by surprise, I can see myself ordering it during regularly during the winter months. Beef was good also. Think I prefer the chicken though. As far as the fountain drinks go. My favorites are the fig & vanilla, mandarin cardamon, and berry patch, in that order. Corelife reminds me of a restaurant I used to frequently visit in Tampa called Fresh Kitchen. Both have a similar concept, healthy, fresh, and delicious. I still have four more days to go, I will try my best to try the other places on my list.. Corelife keeps pulling me back in, that's a sign of a great restaurant. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars because the service was absolutely atrocious, and the worker literally grabbed my chicken with their bare hand. Absolutely disgusting. I went here for the first time and was not disappointed, the bowls are generous portions, and the staff were so helpful, they literally read me each ingredient to make sure I wanted it, there was no line when I went on a Tuesday afternoon so the service was really efficient and most importantly the Korean barbecue pork was delicious, will definitely be back! read more

Perfect. Exactly what I needed. Healthy food that tastes good. I had the Korean BBQ chicken meal but got the chicken subbed with falafel. A few more pieces of falafel would've been nice but otherwise it was great. My uncle had the southwest crispy chicken and he inhaled it. I'd definitely recommend it. read more

Today I stopped by CoreLife for a quick bite and it was delicious. The proportions were great and the line was not too long. I ordered the Tuna Poke Fire and devoured the entire bowl. Although the poke was amazing, a couple minutes later my stomach began to hurt; I don't know if it was due to the poke or not, but it was still very tasty. So a customer and close friend was meeting me for lunch and he chose CoreLife for our meeting place. Healthy Healthy food only, oh know what do I eat? Will I still be hungry? Checking on line to their menu and was able to come up with a few items I maybe able to enjoy. Heading into the restaurant, I saw they had a Korean BBQ bowl and it was excellent. Ordered a small and enough food for me to eat. Service behind their food line was polite and friendly. If your a meat and french fries kinda person try something different and healthy, you won't be sorry. Spouse and I are going to make a trip there as she wants to try it. Notes: place is very busy lunch times but the staff moves you through. Lots of take out orders Outdoor seating. read more

The food is good but the meat portions they give you are ludicrous. They give you 1oz of chicken, steak, etc in a bowl. 1oz!? That's not even enough to feed a newborn child!! Come on do better. read more

I came here last night as part of their pre-opening event. It was busy but there was a welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a wide selection of bowls beyond just the typical salads. The staff was great at explaining all the selections and you are able to swap out or add any toppings. I got the ranch flank steak and my boyfriend got the tuna poke fire. Both of which were delicious. I was especially interested in the drink options. They offer a twist on lemonade and green teas. I would highly recommend the beet lemonade. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. The pricing was reasonable and the food was delicious. This is also a very convenient location for me so I will definitely be back. read more

I want to be sure I say this is the Dewitt, NY location, so there is no confusion with any others in the area, which are hardly to be compared to this one. Service is consistently friendly, attentive, focused, and efficient. Food is always as described, hot, and available. When I order online, it is always ready within 5 minutes of pickup time, even when extremely busy. Clean store, shoveled and salted sidewalks in the winter. All around good food. read more

They are good if you want something healthy for on the go but prices aren't worth it.

Although I wasn't too impressed with my insanely spicy beef rice noodle soup bowl, my husband did enjoy his BBQ chicken ranch rice bowl; and after trying his, I will admit I think he made the better choice. My soup was forgettable, and I feel like there are overall probably better menu options. I really enjoy the concept of this place, it kinda reminds me of a Panera decorated in quinoa and kale with the serving style of Chipotle. I think I would go back just to try something else, but I'm not sure I feel the need to return right away. The beet lemonade mixed with green tea was tasty. I wanted to give this place 5 stars just because we need more places that aren't Taco Bell's, burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. (Don't get me wrong, I love all three of those. But I also prefer to eat healthier if given the choice...) Staff was friendly. Maybe next time I will have a better review. read more

CoreLife Eatery - Super spicy beef rice noodle soup - New American Near Me - Syracuse, New York

This is my first experience with car-side to go, and it was a pleasant one. I ordered online and got a timeframe to pick up my meal. Thankfully, the to-go pickup spot was open, and marked. A little far from the front door, but that's more of an issue for the staff than for me. The number to call is on the parking sign, which is useful. I did have to wait for a minute when I called in, but the staff was very sweet. I ordered the Sriracha Ginger Tofu & Ancient Grains Bowl, since that was the least calorie-dense item on the menu. Super happy with this choice. It was a mix of temperatures and textures. The ginger added a tang, while the sriracha was super spicy. Definitely put an ummph in the salad, and made it feel more like a meal than a half-hearted attempt to be healthy. I don't know that I'd say this is the kind of food I'd crave (which may say more about my bad habits than the restaurant itself,) but I wouldn't protest to order again. read more

Stopped in Sunday morning. Two girls said "be with you in a minute" and I waited for 15 minutes without anyone saying another word to me. The guy behind the counter with the beard looked like he wanted to knock someone out the whole time. Then the girls were asking him to turn on the music so he cranked it. Hey, by the way.....I'm still standing here and nothing Ohh but there is more. So as I'm waiting the 15-20 minutes I look at the pickup bin and still empty. So I go up and say I have an order. She tells me it's been done but behind the counter......So nobody could have told me the order was done? Nobody could have walked over and put it in there pickup bin? This place is a complete joke and the people working there are just lazy. I don't recommend the Erie Blvd location AT ALL. If there are other healthy options, stay away from this place or make your own. It's actually not that hard to recreate this stuff to be honest. read more

Stopped in here for lunch- always a line! But that's just a testament to the newness and the fresh food you'll get here! I think that is the biggest draw- fresh, local and fast. Just know what you want- look at the menu as you wait on line- they have menus to pass as well as a mine with photos on the wall. read more

Amazing! So happy that core life is gaining such a fan group. Loved eating there when I lived in Binghamton. Here in Syracuse, going to the Buckley Rd one is a bit out of the way. I've eaten at the Core Life eatery on Long Island so coming to see how my hometown measures up was natural. It's clean inside. Long lines is a good sign but not what I like to run into. I love the menu & there are numerous combinations & options to be had BUT beware of the sides!!!! I ordered the grilled brussel sprouts & didn't realize they had bacon I should have asked but was too hangry to check - now I know & passing on to you my friends. Check them out - fill up - & enjoy but double check. The beet lemonade is a nice refreshment to wash it all down. read more

There was an employee eating right infront of me then she proceeded to cook chicken without washing hands or putting on gloves. Got a long blonde hair in my salad. And I watched her put a half of a scoop of dressing in my salad that didn't even cover half it. Def not coming back read more

The venue is open and bright. Plenty of parking available. The food was delicious. I got the Mediterranean bowl with the falafel and an extra side of meat. I always get anxious about coming to core and ordering. I always feel like it's so clumsy. My only complaint is that the food and service was fast because they were closing up the garbage was overflowing and kinda made it not so easy to throw stuff away. Hopefully that's a one time of thing. I always feel super healthy after having a meal here! read more

This place has gone down hill from when it originally open, which is sad. The food used to be great and the service was excellent. I just have had too many disappointments lately. ‍ read more

CoreLife is amazing!! Always super fresh, delicious, and a healthy option! Sooo many incredible options and combos!! Highly recommend!!!

Many thanks for the 5 small cubes of spicy chicken (perhaps 5 1/2)....with my bowl. No doubt -- quality ingredients....but simply not worth the price of admission. Eat here if you are looking for an intestinal cleanout. This is the fourth and last time I will ever set foot in this place. I'm not sure what other people are posted about? Fresher McDonalds? Please. This place is amazing. They're cooking real flank steak right in front of you, and real chicken breasts too. The food is really good and there's a ton of options to try. I've tried many. And if you don't like their menu, just build your own. Pro Tip: they tell you choose 4 veggies but you can put as many as you like on it. Dressings made in house. Beverages made in house. There's a decent line to order almost all hours of the day. That's a testament to how good this place is. My personal favs - Spicy Chicken Noodle Bowl and Ranch Flank Steak Rice Bowl. Both are really good. Oh and this isn't a "chain" per se. The original store is in N Syracuse, and they've franchised out to some locations across the country. But the Syracuse stores are the original by the owners. read more

I've had to take my friend to the Hospital twice now because of cross-contamination. This location does not take food safety seriously, they have put her life in danger twice now. I want to like this place so much, because it's healthy and I'm obsessed with the beet lemonade, but the dishes are just a bunch of combos I can't get on board with. I wish there was a pick everything yourself option, but sadly there isn't. I got the power bowl with tuna and it was one of better options for me, but the Brussels sprouts were more red onion than sprouts themselves, and they were underdone. CoreLife seems to be popping up everywhere, and that's great, since we need more healthy options, but they should really consider giving people more freedom to DIY. I may or may not be back for food, I'll definitely be back for the beet lemonade, but not for a while since the lines are too dang long even during off hours. read more

I became violently ill for an entire week from eating their Poke Bowl (raw tuna) at the promotional opening. I also have a couple of friends who became sick from eating the tuna at the other Syracuse location. After sitting down and discussing the fact I was food poisoned with a Corelife regional manager, I was sent a formal yet unapologetic letter deflecting fault with no indication the restaurant would seek improved food safety. This eatery is food-sourced by international Cisco; do not buy the hype of fresh local food. This place is the McDonalds of healthier food alternatives.
