I really hate writing reviews, especially negative ones but feel compelled to do so in regard to CORA. This is not aimed specifically at Satellite Beach. In fact, the trainer I met here and also at Titusville were outstanding, not only for their knowledge and skills, but as individuals. My complaint has to do with how CORA operates, and to be blunt, how they steal thier client's money!
I know that sound severe, and to make it even more shocking, they are doing absolutely nothing illegal! It is almost an indictment of our national health care system actually. Most people who utilize physical therapy services from places like CORA have no idea what the charges are since their insurance covers most of the bill.
I only found out the real costs when my insurance company got things screwed up (Thanks ObamaCare) and CORA started invoicing me for the visits! This actually went o for months before it was cleared up. The Healthcare Market Place actuallty cleared it up pretty quickly but CORA continued sending me invoices over and over, and even started sending me threatening notices even after almost a year had passed.
What I was most shocked about were the fees that CORA was charging. My PT sessions were on-hour sessions and CORA was billing over $200 per hour!!! That is more than a lot of doctors charge!
Now if I had actually received one-on-one attention during that hour, that would be one thing, but I did not! In fact, my total one-on-one time with the trainer was maybe a total of 10 minutes at most. He would have me doing a task and then walk off to work with another person, and then another, and then another! For any given hour, his time would be spread among up to five different people!
That is some racket! $200 per hour x 5 people...that is $1,000 per hour that CORA is raking in!!! What they are giving clients in return is five minutes of genuine physical therapy. To me, that is simply WRONG!
My advice, after dealing with CORA, and another multi-location PT place is this: Find an individual with a strong PT or chiropractic background that is recommended to you by someone you can trust. Don;t know anyone? Go to your gym and ask around. People that have had a good (or bad) experience will be happy to talk, and there's no more likely place to find somebody like that than at a gym IMHO!
Remember, your good health is ultimately YOUR responsibility, not anyone else's, and that includes your doctor...some of the WORST advice I've ever gotten is from doctors! In the end, nobody cares as much about your health as YOU! read more
