I have had 2 knee replacements and 1 hip replacement with one more hip replacement on the way. The first knee was a revision (meaning the knee replacement done in 2005 was being redone in 2024), so it was important to get me on my feet and ready for the second knee. I could not have been happier with their care and treatment. Suffice it to say that there is a reason that I selected Beachside PT in Indian Harbour Beach FOUR times in a row (with 2 knees and 2 hips). The only issues I had were with the insurance company, but Meagain was persistent AND solved all of those insurance issues. Definitely 5 STARS! Small facility with several therapists that help in recovery from knee and shoulder surgery, and for my husband from foot drop and other conditions. The facility has a dozen beds, weights, pulleys, and is kep neat and clean. Therapists use massage, exercises etc to help patients recover. The appointment desk is staffed by pleasant people who aid with billing and appointments. They take many insurances. Kevin and Sarah are regular therapists and are friendly and knowledgeable. They have trainees helping and fillins. The only downside is they can be quite busy and somewhat chaotic at times but are very helpful. read more

I have a Doctor friend who warned me about this place, and I should've listened to him. This is not a Florida-based company, and you're sending your dollars to the California headquarters. At first glance, that wouldn't be so bad, but they run a very unethical front desk. For example, after attending 8 physical therapy visits, I asked the front desk for receipts so that I could expense the charges to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for my healthcare. The front desk wouldn't provide me with receipts detailing things like who the patient was (i.e., myself), how much was paid, and what was done during the visit. This is required by law, yet the lazy people at the front desk denied providing these to me simply because they didn't want to or didn't know how. It's been a nightmare and a lot of time spent just trying to get documentation of my visits there. read more

I've been to this business location a couple of times and have had mostly positive experiences. I had insurance issues on my most recent course of treatment which resulted in me having to have two weeks of sessions cancelled until they could get auth for more visits, though we were back on track quickly after. At my re-eval, we opted to continue with a few more sessions until I got back into seeing my referring MD. Again, for the third time, I had to have my final week of two sessions cancelled to wait for PA. After not hearing from them for a week, I called and left a message inquiring as to the status. I never heard back from them, and received a letter from my insurer a few days later which was a determination letter for a retro auth submitted on my last day in office for my initial dates of service, notifying me of partial denial. By the next week, I still hadn't heard anything, so I ended up contacting my health plan to check and see if a request had been submitted as, working in health insurance myself, I was fairly certain it would be denied if the first request resulted in a partial denial off my initial eval. After reaching out to their group that handles PT PA's, I was advised the only request on file was for the retro-authed partial denial and there were no requests for upcoming dates of service, nor for the additional visits they had said they were requesting when I had to have appointments cancelled for those two weeks. I'm almost four weeks out from my last appointment, still haven't heard anything from them, and my health plan is telling me a different story than what they did. Given this, I'm not very confident of whoever's responsibility it is out there to handle PA's and return patient phone calls; (even telling me they were still waiting or that they'd decided not to submit because of likelihood of denial would have been appreciated instead of leaving me in the dark waiting). That aside, facilities are nice, staff is pleasant, and have always received great treatment for my knee and back issues. read more

After I was diagnosed with a herniated disc at L2, my primary care doctor referred me to Beachside Physical Therapy on Eau Gallie Blvd. When I started therapy driving was really painful and anything further than a 7 mile each way errand excruciating. I had to limit sitting to no more than half an hour at a time. My therapist was Micelle Marshall who was everything you could ask for in a therapist, kind, upbeat, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, energetic and skilled. My back pain and numbness got treatment from several disciplines, including medications, a steroid injection in by back from a pain management specialist, and physical therapy. Six weeks later, I am not 100% better but my condition has improved more that I dreamed was possible. Driving is no longer painful. I can sit for nearly as long as I could before the disc injury. I am back to my normal activities. I have learned a number of exercises to strengthen by back and core and help avoid pain. Beachside is a pleasant, convenient place for therapy and has a well run tech-savvy office that can send you E-mail and/or text reminders of appointment times. read more

I visited this Beachside Facility for one session. I then traveled to John Hopkins' Center Of Excellence to have a Knee Replacement with 5 days of Physical Therapy in Baltimore. I began PT @ Beachside, the day I returned home because of Holiday. I have gone twice a week, since 12/21. Paul & Michael, equally sharing their expertise. I had full range of motion & walking very well within 25 days out from Surgery12/12. My favorite Physical Therapists have been professional, courteous & moreover very attentive. The Receptionists, Catherine & Shelby could not be more helpful in booking my appointments, sending reminder emails, working with our Insurance company & Medical spending account.
