All the other Loctician's are professional and extremely good at what they do. I have never received this type of customer service from any hair salon I have gone too. They are unusually prompt (yes, prompt) with appointment times. The prices are reasonable and the hair wash is soothing and relaxing. Everyone hates the dryer time with locs. However, at Estah Locs you get your very own mini fan, GENIUS! Anytime I bring in a photo Ms. Latanya does her best to give me the style in my photo. If you want locs or already have them this is the place you want to be. The culture and spirit in this shop resonates excellence.

For the past few years, I've been a loyal customer of Shaneil. Every experience is professional as…read moreshe is very punctual for every appointment. Upon arriving to my appointment, I was seen immediately. In my experience over the five years, Shaneil has always been honest about which styles will best suit me. In other words, every style may not be for you or complement you. If I ever ask for advice (which I often do), she gives several recommendations to give me different options for my hair. Not only is she excellent at braids and weaves, but she also knows how to properly take care of your natural hair. While other hair stylists may be limited, Shaneil takes the time to understand you as individual. She takes the time to truly get to know you so that you can feel like she cares rather than treating you like a number as most stylists tend to do. Her prices are more than reasonable and there are never any surprise fees. The day before your appointment, she sends a detailed summary of what to expect upon arrival to your appointment. I've enjoyed my years with Shaneil and would never dream of booking an appointment with anyone else!

SCAM WARNING: Lovetthair Orlando I had a fraudulent experience at Lovetthair as a first-time…read moreclient. I came in for a sew-in removal and a standard new sew-in service using my own hair bundles. Based on a previous bad hair experience I shared, the stylist recommended I do a combined sew-in and micro-link extension service for an upcharge instead. I trusted her and paid $420 via Zelle. To hide her actions, she turned my chair completely away from the mirror to watch Netflix. She completed the sew-in base, but completely defrauded me on the micro-links. Instead of adding the extension hair I provided, she clamped EMPTY metal beads directly onto my natural hair strands. Because my natural hair is mid-length, she assumed I wouldn't notice the missing bulk. I later discovered that every single bead remains tightly locked on my scalp with absolutely no extension hair inside them. Other local stylists are now refusing to remove these empty beads due to liability and the high risk of traction damage to my raw hair. When confronted, she aggressively refused a refund and repeatedly changed her story. I am providing screenshots of our emails to prove she is a pathological liar. In one message she lists a charge for a microlink install, and in the next, she completely denies doing a sew-in--even though I physically have the braided tracks and black thread sewn into my head right now. Stay Away!

Jaime absolutely came through. Not only does he clearly know exactly what he's doing, but his personality made the whole experience even better. I left feeling so much more confident and genuinely excited for my next appointment already. The salon itself is super cute, welcoming, and easy to get to with simple parking (which honestly matters more than people think). I used to see them back when I lived in Orlando, and even after moving to Daytona Beach, they still accommodated me and remembered everything. That level of care means so much. Amanda, the owner, is an absolute badass, and every stylist I've seen there has crushed it, but Jaime really knocked it out of the park for me this time. You can tell this salon genuinely cares about their clients and the experience they create. So thankful for them.

5 Stars for my hair goddess, Megan Essig, who will make your hair color dreams come true…read more I've been seeing Megan for my color for years and have never strayed (despite a lockdown, her moving away several times, etc.). When she moved to SLC a couple of years ago, I would see her every few months when she was back home. Now that she's moved back to Orlando, she can never get rid of me! I've had some terrible color experiences in the past. Think orange/coppery blotchy color. Ever since Megan has been doing my hair I have gotten so many compliments and random strangers asking for my colorist's contact info. A few things to note: Color that looks this natural and flawless takes time. Expect to be at the salon for a couple of hours, but fret not, Megan is a great hang! She's traveled the world and lived everywhere, so don't be shy about your own travels and places you'd like to visit, because my girl has got recommendations! I can't recommend this sweet soul's work enough. She's an artist and will not lead you astray (or let you lead yourself astray with requests for color that won't suite you). Pro-tips: 1- Get yourself a drink from downstairs (the Hammered Lamb). 2- Make your next appointment at the end of your last one so you don't miss a refresh!
